New hope music and it's similarity to Luke's scene on Tatooine. They are totally mirroring Rey and Luke.
Sure thing. Here you go:

I've only seen the first season so I can't comment on the show much but I'm just not a fan of that zoom shot it used in every space battle, probably not the originator of it but I've seen it in a few different movies where the scene is basically all CGI and never liked it.don't you dare say anything bad about bg
Are you serious? I actually thought he was quite prominent in the trailer. I didn't even know he was a major character before I saw this trailer. Looks like a lot of the cast is British too.
On one hand Abrams directed Mission Impossible 3 and Star Trek.
On the other hand he also directed Super 8 and Into Darkness.
The Star Wars film will decide which way the coin lands this time.
I'm not worried that it'll be a bad film necessarily, but after watching the trailers I've been wondering if I really want a Star Wars film made in the same style as blockbuster action films of today. A lot of the shots kinda rang hollow in the nostalgia department (not that it needs to, but I thought that was what the trailer was going for) and gives me a lot of the same feelings I had towards the recent Star Trek reboot -- entertaining (the first one anyway) but not memorable.
I'm not overstating anything. His work has received a massive amount of critical acclaim.
Ok I think I get it.
Rey is Leia/Han's daughter. They have another child who is probably the Sith.
Leia is dying. She gives the saber to Rey, and she is going to seek out Luke.
The reason we hear about the family's link to the force is because Rey will have to deal with her brother who has strong affinity with the force and has fallen to the dark side. It's going to be a family thing.
The force is awakening, both the light and the dark, to stay balanced.
If it was Luke, why would he say "My father HAS it"?
The trailer made him seem like a supporting character to me,even though he isn't.
"You have it too". I assumed he re-did the VO, but that's all ripped straight out of Jedi?
Guys, that dialog is 100% verbatim the scene from Return of the Jedi. It's not new dialog, it's not an impersonator, it's not old Hamill pitched up to sound young. It's just the dialog re-edited from Jedi. The "You have that power too" comes before the rest of it originally.
eh, have you guys not seen Return of the Jedi or something? It's the Luke/Leia scene dialogue (in a slightly different order)

It was their choice to make him look scared and seemingly useless in every scene we've seen of him thus far.
This is sadly probably the case.
Because Vader was alive in Jedi, and I believe this trailer is just lifting and using that dialogue from there. The trailer then seems to have one new line in it, perhaps from this film, or perhaps a line that won't even be in this film at all, but created just for this trailer.
Trailer shit doesn't have to come to pass in this film. Many bits of dialogue, or even whole shots get made/discarded just for trailer purposes.
"You have that power too"
cue up 1:33 on this clip:

Confirms that the dialogue is just a clever edit of the original lines from ROTJ
The trailer narration probably doesn't show up in the actual Episode 7 movie
Mayhaps they took it from Luuke
ROFL

Probably a new pilot with no combat experience. He or she can't cut it, so they call back Han and Chewie, who remark how they're back home when they board the Falcon.

That was kind of... boring.
I get the feeling that this wasn't meant to be.

What a shame.
BUT this is still the dopest trailer I've seen in a while. I'm all in!!
The person being handed the saber in the trailer is most likely Leia and she looks to be in good health. She's wearing a wedding ring and doesn't look sick or injured.Ok I think I get it.

Black guy scared in every scene, why?
Hope so. That didn't quite pan out when Lucas was at the helm though. Of course, Abrams is in a very different position with significantly less power so I hope you're right. I just don't have that much faith the man will put out something I'll really love.
This please. <3
some real sets right there!![]()
How much did Disney buy Lucasfilms and Marvel? They about to make $3 billion+ on TFA and AoF just this year.
