They bought Lucasfilm for $4 billion. With all the films being released and the merchandise, it will be a great investment.

Black character seems the more interesting, visuals and landscape looks amazing.
Otherwise it's Disney, I have 0 expectations, well that maybe end being a good thing.
 
This doesn't look bad.

Hopefully, it will be more sci-fiy instead of fantasy. Might want to see this. I just hope it is less like the previous 6 films and more of its own new take.

Same. I like what I saw and as its own trailer is alright, but I don't want the movie to live or die on it's fanservice alone and that's what has me worried. I'm still skeptical of Abrams' ability to leverage a "great movie" as I've never thought he's proven himself beyond being a good cinematographer. Hopefully he can prove me wrong, Star Wars is one of those things that deserves to be good.

Does Luke saying my father "has" it instead of "had" imply Anakin/Vader will be alive somehow? Or is he talking about ghost-Anakin.

Or is that someone else narrating and not Luke.
 
I totally did not recognize Mark Hamill's voice in the narration, although it should've been obvious to me with the Darth Vadar mask and bionic arm. He's done so many voice-overs for crazy characters I've forgotten what he sounds like normally.

Where did I shit on Daredevil? Cap 2? GotG? Iron Man? Don't run around spouting incorrect information because I don't bow to the altar of Whedon like you do.

Also, hack doesn't mean "person that I think makes shitty films." It's a director-for-hire that is there to make money and doesn't give a shit about artistic integrity. Brett Ratner is a hack. JJ cares about filmmaking and art.
 
Man, at first I was hoping they wouldn't have too much focus on the old characters, and that they would concentrate on the new ones, but after hearing Mark Hamill talk? Fuck, just make him the lead of all the new movies.

This trailer alone showed how to portray more emotion through imagery than all three prequels combined.

Yeah, they know this movie when it opens is going to shatter every record know to man. I hope to see some more star wars games at E3 other than Battlefront.
 
I think it's interesting we still don't have an official release date beyond the vague "December" mention. This gives Disney a lot of flexibility and the other studios will avoid that release window like the plague.
 
I'm sure the movie will have great visuals and action.

I have no idea how the story will turn out. If it's the usual JJ Abrams cliche-ridden mess, I'll watch it once and then forget about it, just like the two new Star Treks.
 
Holy poop that looks amazing. I hope we get green lightsabers in this movies. The protagonist has had a blue lightsaber for 5/6 of these movies. Give the other colors a chance!
