Gents, stuck a little here.

ive done :

CB, FG, BSB, HW, VA, and SOY.

Whats a good route from here. I'm currently level 63. I did stumble across some big bastard beast with all
electro shit fizzing around
, and proceeded to get hammered due not reacting in time.

Suggestions appreciated.

Game still continues to give!

You should have enough levels for that boss. It is optional though. If you want to progress in the story go foward from
Shadow of Yharnam
lamp.

I'll ask again...after
The One Reborn
...

Should i do
Upper Cathedral
or
Nightmare of Mensis
first? I'm level 73.

Upper Cathedral
is optional with one of the hardest bosses in the game. IMO you should do
Mensis
first since it is much easier and nets you bunch of blood echoes to level up more.

Continue forward from SoY. You can kill Darkbeast Paarl (electro dude) now if you want but he's optional and you can come back to him later. There is also some optional stuff you can explore around that area if you want to.

The former because it's optional.

I'm 68. Maybe I just suck then.

If it's the werewolves, you can lure them to the door and cheese them. If it's
Ebrietas
then just have patience. It's a tough battle. Bring some bolt paper, hug her left side far enough so that you avoid the tentacles but not far enough to be right behind her. Hit her head once or twice whenever she brings her head down and bring make sure you have some vials for the last phase. Some sedatives might help too, just in case.

Question about end game area and attaining final weapon upgrade
are there any repercussions with dropping that brain like I've seen in videos so that I can get the blood rock? I thought I read something that advised against it but I could be totally off. Thanks
Yes, you can get a rune by using the
make contact guesture for 30 seconds in front of the brain if you go up to it after dropping it
.

Just a few questions about Old Yharnam. Beat CB and FG.

What level should I be at to take down
the Gatling Gun prick. He just parries my strikes? and wastes me
.
What does the
Red Messenger item do and when can I activate it
?
I told the
boy or girl in the house
to go to
the Cathedral, but he/she hasn't shown up yet. Will he/she ever show up
?

Thanks in advance.

The Red Messenger item belongs to the girl you gave advice to go to the Cathedral. Since you get it from an enemy it means that enemy killed her.
Either ignore the gatling gun guy or drop him off the ledge. Fighting him is really hard in the beginning since he has bunch of health.

After listening to the game's soundtrack, I have to conclude A
mygdala
has my favorite theme. I love the distinctive strings, and it builds up to a climax well.

1 - Don't kill him, at least not yet. Wait until you beat
Paarl
, once that happens, you'll open a gate and be in that dude's area again. Don't kill ANYTHING and go talk to him.

2 - Go back to
Gascoigne's
house after you beat
Rom
. This will answer your third question as well.

:)

I'm trying to summon someone for the last boss and no one is showing up. I did have a guy come when I was already in the boss room once but then I died...

Anyone available to help with this?

Edit: Nevermind. Someone finally came. Bloodborne beaten.

Sorry for the late reply, I did pick that up. So where do I have to go with that? ^^

Once you have a chalice, go to the chalice altars in Hunter's Dream (just to the left of the bath merchant). Choose any of them except the first (bottom) one, then make the chalice dungeon. It'll require some blood echoes and some materials (two Ritual Blood (1), which you should have picked up in Old Yharnam, in the big room with the hanging dead beast. If you didn't, it's available to purchase from the bath merchant after defeating BSB). The first dungeon can be done around level 30-40. There's a beginner's guide to chalice dungeons in the OP.

Son of a bitch.

Thanks to you both.

My advice is bring a friend for Ebby.

I think I was overleveled for T
he
O
ne
R
eborn
.

Circle strafed the shit out of him. Popped a fire paper and tore his legs up. Finished him off with a yolotov. The enemies that led up to him were harder, honestly. His opening cinematic was crazy, though.

I need one of these yolotovs you talk about. Yeah that fight isn't hard but the intro to it is pretty great.

Requesting help! I'm on the Great Pthumeru chalice and it's the last one I need to get through before I finally have the plat.

Really struggling on Pthumerian descendant for some stupid reason. Anyone willing to help out?

Have no idea if this thread is doing spoilers, but just in case.

Stay at mid range.
Try to parry the second attack of one of his combos.
His first attack can be a little unpredictable. After a few tries though you are very used to his combos and anticipating the second attack after seeing the first is very easy.

Wish I could help but I'm at work at the moment but what I'd suggest is strafe, don't walk, around him and when he gets in a combo he'll usually keep missing if the first hit doesn't connect. In his second phase, quickly back out when you notice that your attacks no longer stagger him.

You-only-live-once-atov.

What is your lvl? He is probably hardest boss in that chalice.

Level 114. Just managed to beat him! Figured it was better to roll around him that to lock on. Was intense as hell though.

Yea I'm finally off the ban list! Is there any way to combat the frenzied attack from the brain dudes in mensis?

Sedatives, low insight and high frenzy resist.

edit. WHAT?! I died at the Church dudes before
Vicar Amelia
boss door and it warped me right behind her. I haven't even started the boss fight.

edit2. Apparently even Bold Hunters Mark warps me behind her. Wow this is weird.

He's very easy. Cheese him.
Have a pillar be between you and him always by doing the circling dance. He will try to attack you through the pillar, but if you stand slightly back, he can't touch you. When he's stuck in his attack routine trying to hit you through the pillar, all you have to do is use a weapon with long range and clip him your the pillar. And, repeat. The charge R2 from the axe and burial blade works great. The only thing to worry is if he backs up far away and throws his weapon so be prepare to roll or heal afterward. But, if you keep him close, he won't do the throw.

Yep, I figured this out last night and beat him in two tries. Even then, we'd usually trade damage. Still took 20 vials.

That means you were standing too close to the pillar and getting hit and/or he threw his weapon and hit you many times. When he's away, you should be prepare to roll and back to the pillar.

Ah, felt like it wouldn't reach unless I spun forward with the axe. Didn't really experiment, as it felt like I had the upper hand regardless.

I love helping people on
The One Reborn
. It seems like everyone has that lighbulb moment when I head upstairs to kill the
six maidens
...don't worry, I was in the same boat.

Just fought against a very dangerous boss in the Story-based Central Phtumeru Chalice.
Fought the U

G

, Lvl89, Central Pthumeru Chalice, Depth 3, Layer 2

Really dangerous boss fight: has a
one hit kill maneuver with his chain torso swipe move
. A game of patience, really: you can only afford 1-2 clean hits before backing off.
Well done!
You were on a sliver once though. I died twice until i beat him finally; that fight really isharder than it looks.

Does anyone want to help me out with Father G? Two days of trying with no luck so far. Cleric Beast went down rather easily but that dude gives me all kinds of trouble.

My PSN name is Angry_Jansen.

Edit: Level 20

What is your level? I am afraid that I am too high level. Could start new character also though hmm.

You might want to add you level so people know if they can halp you.

You also need to mention your level because there's a +/- 10 level cap to who you can summon.

If you're tired of going in fair and square, try this:

If you just want tips:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2wRQcrHZec&list=PLOjGXMeTrh2heFtd-_s_4hJLmayyZZbWL&index=8

As you know, you'll face three enemies at the same time. One is a caster, one is pure physical and the other is both. DO NOT kill one at a time as, once one of them is dead, the other two will become way stronger and have new moves. Drain their life equaly, so, once they get stronger, you'll be able to kill them quickly.

Do not stop moving during this fight. You'll be handling one of them constantly casting fire balls at you, other one always rushing in your direction and one that will stay mid range, for the most part.

Once they transform, the two melee enemies will have a new vertical attacks where their arms stretch, and those attack will go through walls, tombstones and whatever.

Once two of them is dead, the remaining shadow will be able to summon giant snakes that can do masive damage. So atack them if you can, to stop the summoning, if you can't, run and roll until the snakes are gone.

Keep calm, dodge and roll.
Thank you! One more thing...that guy in the video is like 20+ levels higher than me. Maybe because I'm level 40, I'm struggling. What's the recommended level to fight them?

Got it, thanks. I'm level 20.

I'd help you, since I have a Level 20 specifically for early game co-op. But I'm at work now and won't be home til later.

How do I defeat the BSB? Any tips?

Walk forward and bait a swipe attack, then parry and visceral. You can also throw blood cocktails to distract him, then backstab and visceral. The rest is just dodging his charge and not being greedy. Fire paper and molotovs help, as do antidotes.
