Yeah, right. Last time I checked the trophy data, only 2.6% have the stone. They're not going to lose money by gating the dlc.

It will probably net the person a decent weapon/optional boss in the DLC. No way it is going to be a pathway into the DLC.

Is it possible that it has a use in the game in right now but no one has figured it out?

Sooo guys is NM really the best place to pvp I'm level 130 can really find a better place. also Whhhy does my vit go away down when I go invade... I have like 1500 and when I invade it goes down to like 1000. :(

Lower Hintertomb final boss
Pthumeran Elder
was pretty cool. He killed me two times, but things went better once I started parrying him.

I used the short ritual root chalice to invade someone. Was my first taste of PVP. I got my ass handed to me but it was fun.

With just one trophy left until the platinum, I decided to rank all the bosses in terms of difficulty.

I ranked them retrospectively, i.e. how difficult I found them the first time I faced them in NG. 1 = easiest, 17 = most difficult.

I don't know if I was overleveled when I got to D
arkbeast Paarl
, but I beat him first try in a minute or two only getting hit twice I think. Definitely the easiest boss I've fought so far in the game lol.

I got to U
pper Cathedral Ward. Fuck I hate this place. Two of my worst enemies: werewolves and those brain suckers that take insight
away.
You will like it later. Best place to farm for chunks.

Once you beat Rom, where should I go?

after killing Rom, you get ported. Just run straight ahead down to Unseen Village.

Yes. He is easy if you lockon his body, stay under him and kick his ass. If you try keeping a distance and /or a frontal approach, he instead is going to kick your ass.

To be honest, having talked some of my friends who've also played Bloodborne, I think it's a damn shame the 'key' in the Unseen Village is so ... hidden. It prevents people from playing a section of the game that not only is oozing with charm and atmosphere, but also explains a lot of the story.

I think the secret nature of Cainhurst Castle is reasonable, but the Upper Cathedral is just too obscure. You have to notice a break in the wall during a hectic sequence that leads to a drop down in Unseen Village.

Oh well, I guess all the more sweeter to those who find it.

Finally got past
Rom and love the new 'color' to the game world, so to speak. The hunters dream is even more serene with the music but the crying makes it sadder.
Amazing game!

Beat T
he One Reborn
on my third try. He was really easy.
I just targeted his mid section and whacked him a few times, back off while his legs flail, whack him a few more times.
I was expecting a much harder fight.

What is the recommended lvl to try to beat the Pthumerian queen in the Chalice dungeons? I started NG+ today at level 92, and Im just missing the trophies given by items and the boss in the Chalice dungeons.

This is crazyland. E
brietas
cannot be considered easier than R
Rom, Paarl, BSB or Logarius
. I will give you G
Gerhman and Moon Presence
if you were really, reaaaally unlucky, but the E boss is broken in ways the rest aren't. For starters it turns around too fast and her geometry pushes you around in dumb ways, and second, it hits with frenzy where the rest do not.

It's also got quite a few 1HKO attacks.

Definitely overleveled if you fight him after R
om
. You stagger him after a few hits.

I just made a lower hintertomb root chalice dungeon. I don't know anything about what's in it, but I do know there is a bell woman who summons for PVP right at the start of the first layer. So it should be ideal to set up PVP with.

If anyone is interested the glyph code is gk69s212.

Equip a frenzy resist set? :p

She's not that bad, you can also get stuck behind her so even if she turns you still stick behind her, it's pretty funny. When she gets down to 1/3 hp you have to listen for the laser sound to truck out of there though. Fighting her legit I found staying close and dashing to your right/her left side using i-frames to get through her tentacle attacks makes her pretty trivial. The only hard part of the fight is the lasers, even then they're kinda like a combo of Micolash and Rom's rain, kinda bait by moving one way, then start dashing like crazy in the opposite direction when you think they'll hit. Should be able to survive even if you get hit with enough hp.

If there's an in-game message saying something like "A maiden rings a sinister bell," then PVP is enabled. However, I think the bell maidens in the chalice dungeons just summon enemies (spiders are the worst). I've spent a lot of time in dungeons that had those bell maidens, and have never been invaded.

I would say VA, E and Martyr were the three bosses that gave me the most trouble, especially VA. Lord, dunno if it was because I was lvl 25, but I just getting absolutely wrecked by her.

He has been my favourite boss fight so far (I've just beaten Rom). Mostly because I wasn't expecting it. I had just gone back to that area to explore, came up to a large dead end section, then... FUCK!

In panic, I just rolled in close and two handed Lugwig'd him. Found that if I could get underneath him, I without taking damage, and a couple of swings of the Holy Sword would stun him. I only had a sliver of health left, but beat him on my first try.

That message pops up in my dungeon. It can happen in root dungeons. I predict bell women in the Chalice Dungeons will be where the bulk of this game's PVP will take place, once more of the community catches on to the mechanic.

Edit: One reason why I think it will be so important for PVP is that it's a way to set up duels and fight clubs Share a glyph code, for a dungeon with a convenient bell-ringing woman, with someone, and you should be able to easily set up a match with them.

Easily the worst game I've played technically on PS4, including AC:Unity. But still one of the best games on the system imo,
Logarius
is kicking my ass but think I may have the trick to beating him.

Regular Root, Sinister Root and/or both? I thought pvp is only available in the Sinister.
Yeah.... I did the opposite lol. I got extremely lucky killed him the first time. I thought I was done a couple times but I pulled through. Used all of my Vials too haha!
Easy to just cheese him.
Use the doorway. He can't fit through and just poison him, stay back and watch.

I made three characters.

I have a level 91 bloodtinge/skill/vitality character in NG.

I have a level 105 well rounded character in NG.

What are the best areas for PvP????? I want to do a lot of it! :D
what are the stats of your level 91 bloodtinge/skill/vitality character ?
How does this work? Like, what is it that's allowing you to stagger big enemies and hit bosses in the head?

I didn't know that was something you could really influence, aside from weapon range/spread/speed making different counters easier to pull off.
for staggering enemies you just need to hit them with a big weapon.
ie the ludwig's holy blade.
if you hit a enemy with it, it will stop their attack motions.
with small weapons, they will keep hitting you.

and for enemies you just take a big weapon like again the holy blade and use the attack, that hits high.
L2 of the holy blade is a move that hits bigger bosses in the head.
like Ebritas daughter of cosmos or amygadal.

Man, I never would've been able to find that
Upper Cathedral Ward
key without a guide, since that fucking particular area is so stressful and panicky, you're just glad to be done with it. You're not even thinking about going back through the area with a fine tooth comb. At least I got found the summons for
Cainurst Castle
. That much I was able to stumble upon by myself.

Well now you have Evelyn for hitting bosses in the head and opening them for viscerals.

Evelyn does a little bit over 100 damage.
5 shits weren't enough to get E down.

What is the name of the lamp where you get ported to? im in hunters dream at moment.

did you even talk to the lady after the rom fight?

you see the key before that.

finding the key isn't hard.
and then you just have to find out how to get to it.

I fought him after the Witch of Hemwick, I think I was like level 38.

Yeah, that's fairly early actually. You still have two entire areas to go through before you face R
om
Don't remember what level I was but P
aarl
was a peace of cake.

Regular Root, Sinister Root and/or both? I thought pvp is only available in the Sinister.

I haven't made a sinister chalice yet, so regular root. If I understand it correctly, the point of the sinister version is that you can perform the additional offering to be guaranteed to get a bell-ringing woman to spawn, while in normal root chalices there is still a chance that they will spaw, but the probability is low and it's random.

I got a bell-ringing woman on layer three of my foetid central Pthumeru root dungeon (but stupidly killed her), and now on layer one of my lower hintertomb root dungeon.

Try out my glyph code to see for yourself.

rom
is the fucking worst boss in this game

hes not hard, hes fucking tedious and annoying.
When in doubt:

Killed him first try. :X

Just worked the first three Chalice Bosses. Must've been overleveled, cuz I was taking chunks off their HP with LHB +8. Can't imagine how W

D

of the

would've gone otherwise.

I disagree with 13, 14 and 17 I had no issues with them. 9 was the hardest for me.

Compared to the Cursed Chalice Dungeons and depth 4 and 5 dungeons all of the story bosses are a breeze.

The level 4 cursed bosses are the hardest in the game IMO. Unless you are super over leveled.

I took a hiatus from this game for a couple weeks due to being busy with college work and didn't need the distraction. Just returned though and it is creeping the shit out of me. lol

Its like the further you get in the more messed up everything becomes. Right now I'm before
the One Reborn boss fight. The witches are killing me, so I assume this is like the Tower Knight from Demon's Souls where I need to kill the perched enemies aiding the boss before going to the big guy right? I wasn't able to find a ladder or anything leading up though during my fight with it so I guess it is near the end of the arena.

Also for
Cainhurst Castle, is there a boss here? I ended up making a giant loop in the place and have no idea where to go now. For reference, I activated the elevator and also wound up making a short cut after pulling a level to cause a hidden path to open to a previous area. I saw a note for a secret path but have no idea how to activate it.

I agree with this guy. I thought his list was way off too but wasn't going to say/write anything
