The Precinct |OT| GAF Blue Bloods

It may have been made by only 5 people but 30fps only, in 2025 is a no for me - especially so on the PS5 Pro.

I'll give it a try when and IF they even bother to patch it.

Sell me on this game with a GIF

Not sure this game is for me.

Like any gif or does it have to be cop themed
Was thinking something like this thread:

aka some part of this game that can be shown off in 30 seconds or less that would make someone want to play it

I was watchin a video of it and dude called for escort to pickup the perp. Screen popped up with XP and shit like mission complete, then he just ran over the guy and I would assume he was dead. So you can be dish out different justice I guess after mission is completed if you want.

Played a couple of hours. Chased the first perp until he drove into the ocean and then shot him to death as he made it back on to dry land. Later had a scumbag take a civilian hostage and I accidentally shot them both to death.

Pretty fun so far, doesn't take itself too seriously. A nice palate cleanser after Exp33.

Really cool so far. It's definitely got some jank and the audio was buggy for the first couple minutes (everything's fine now 🤷🏻), but it at its core it really feels like some late 90s-early 00s PC game which I fuckin love. You gotta embrace releases like this nowadays because we NEVER get them.

Intro song w/ the title card was cool

It's a little jarring to get these still comic like images with spoken dialogue and then they have you playing in this grimy, grounded atmosphere. I dig it though.

Soundtrack continues to impress

Just heard a track that seemed totally inspired by this mid 80s Madonna banger

From this amazing movie

Busted and gave a fine to some teen douchebag for littering…driving your typical mid 80s wood panel station wagon 😂

Also again, further proof the game is longer than reviews say.

It took me two hours alone to finish the tutorial. I'm just now earning XP.

Im still on my first official shift and I appreciate how already you don't need to return to the station to continue the story. I've been out all night issuing tickets and looking to bust some heads.

Definitely on the GOTY list at the moment

This is truly the modern day Police Quest I've wanted since I was 12 😂🧐🤘🏼

I'm not sure yet. I drive as professionally as possible 😎

Driving acumen has nothing to do with it. Can I get a game over for trying to get a date with the police chief's wife because I left her off with a warning because she flirted with me and dropped the digits?

I played an hour of it and I'm loving the game itself, it's running like crap for me though and I don't know why.
I'm running the Steam PC version with a 4090 and a steady 30fps would be an improvement. It's smooth for me at times, then really choppy at times.
Not sure what it is considering there is not much options in the menu. Tried dropping from 4k to 1440p and it didn't change anything.

I thought the PC version was uncapped. Why are you locked at 30?

I'm not. It's just choppy as hell for me for some reason. Deadly Premonition 2 on Switch might be smoother than what I'm experiencing so far. ha!

I'm running a 14900 intel with 64gigs ram and 4090 gpu . . .

This game is cool and cheap on Steam (and even cheaper at CDKeys.com where I got my copy for £14.99 yesterday). Loved the demo and so far the final game proving to be as good as I'd hoped when I added it to my Steam Wishlist.

Graphically the game is good but surprisingly heavy. My i5-13600KF, 32 GB, RTX 4080 FE, Windows 11 Pro 24H2 runs this at around 90-110 fps at 1440p. Had to fiddle around with the settings a bit to get it to go above 60 fps. plus I'd forgotten that I'd capped the demo at 60 fps using RTSS so once I changed that to 120 fps then I got framerates above 60 fps. Apart from the odd stutter while driving at speed in the city, the game seems to otherwise run fine.

Yep this is ace, takes me back to police quest on the Amiga, i'll be double dipping for the PC version as well as I want to support the devs.

Disappointing that it's only 30fps on PS5 Pro, but it's not the end of the world in this type of game or this view of the world, but driving would definitely be improved by the extra fps if they could get it to 60.

Demo was great its cool how you can destroy stuff in the environment like Forza Horizon

On 3080 10 GB with 12900 its jerky at 4K at default settings but dropping down FSR quality to performance looks like its 60 fps and really the game really benefits from this.

Rockstar could benefit from this company as GTA 1 and 2 remaster using this style would be great

Have to admit, this is the first time I've ever been surprised by GAF. Didn't expect so many wanna be narcs!

Demo was alright. Idk about the price though.

I'd say worth it on a discount based on my experience from the demo.

Big maps are expensive… I was hoping they'd be bigger than ps2 gtas but smaller than gta4
Creating an open environment is definitely more difficult in a game like Robocop where the downtown district had to look super detailed, because you were looking at it from the first person perspective and there was a lot of exploration on foot. In my opinion it's a bit different with the isometric view and when the game offers cars and even helicopters. They could copy-paste some streets or apartment blocks. Or maybe add a larger industrial area, a huge parking lot or an airport to have some open space without so many streets and alleys.

It's not a dealbreaker for me, but showing that official map is probably not the best way to promote the game.
