Just disappointed that that line or moment isn't in the film.
And disappointed that Vision is the one to wield Mjolnir. But I am still very excited to see it next week.

Questions about Ultron, he feels cut
I LOVED the ending line.
Was he like a magical software protecting the gem? Part of the gem itself? What did Hydra had to do with him?

From what I got, he was unfinished but slightly working Hydra AI. More complex than Jarvis. Tony wanted to repurpose him for his Iron Legion. He gets Banner to help him with that. I might have missed the part where he was part of the MIND GEM. I only heard Jarvis say that the GEM was emanating information.
What I got out of it is that the Sceptre/data they recovered included an AI. But Ultron the program was something Tony was already working on but could not get to work. When he shows Banner the AI he immediately goes something like "This can be Ultron", and Banner makes a remark about how that was history.
My guess is that the idea/plans for Ultron were already designed by either Tony or someone else (Pym perhaps) and the AI they found in the data/sceptre made it possible for Tony to get Ultron up and running.

He doesn't. He gets on a Quinjet after throwing Ultron out and continues to fly away. The Quinjet ends up somewhere in the ocean but Fury and co can't track it because of Stark's stealth tech. He's MIA, but on earth.
It's fake, no spiderman scene.

Yeah, thats weird. I know the fake is, well, fake, but I had heard some pretty heavy hinting from a very particular source (a mod can confirm that I'm not talking out of my ass).
The fact that theyre claiming theres no post-credit scene sort of solidifies it for me.

A few minor complaints:
- TOO MUCH HAWKEYE!!! I read somewhere they gave him more screen time due him not having a lot in 1. Is this true?
- The whole Thor vision thing was very vague.
- Though I really liked Ultron, they could've made him even more badass. Too much jokes. I'd have prefered him to be a more terminator.
- The whole rise of Ultron went a tad too fast.

Just got back from the midnight showing in Singapore. Really, really liked it, but slightly short of LOVED it because of what the editing room did. Would love a Director's Cut version; feels like so many bits were missing to keep the run time down.
It's slightly darker than the first, but still has that awesome comic-booky action KAPOW action. Yeah, Winter Soldier's action sequences were more visceral and satisfying, but Captain America is Captain America and the Avengers is supposed to be colourful, over-the-top fun. There's space in the MCU for both types of action.
What I really liked:
- Whedon got a new love for his long, single-take action beats. The opening stomp through the snowy forest was F-awesome, ending in that fantastic slow-mo team moment. The pan around the team in the Sokovian church was brilliant too.
- All those team up moments! Thor striking a lighting blast off Cap's shield! Widow and Cap ping-ponging drones!
- That the Infinity Stones were so explicit in this one. So this is why Thanos will come to Earth in Infinity War Part 1; to retrieve the Mind Gem from Vision.
- Hawkeye. My second favourite part of the movie, after the cool chill-out vibe of the party scene. I felt it really grounded the team and gave a lot of depth to Hawkeye, and cemented how close he and 'Tash were. He got the best line of the film too.
- Really liked that Ultron was more than just a menacing vision, but a warped version of Tony's personality. He felt like a petulant, misguided child. I thought it gave depth to the character, even if he turned out to be less of an actual threat that before.
- So THAT's how Ulysses got his Klaw!
- The establishing of the Avenger's Academy! Falcon! War Machine! That new Scarlet Witch costume!
What I thought could have been done better
- Ultron didn't seem like a threat at all. He had an army of drones... Yay! Which the Avengers tore through in 2 minutes.
- Quicksilver's death. Sadface... I liked him and you lose a lot of the dynamic with Wanda without him. Still, no burial and they can always resurrect him. Maybe with Dr Helen's advanced machine? She was shown at the Avengers Academy in the End.
- Mid-credits sequence..... after what has come before... meh!
- Vision looked kinda weird. Like a red-yellow variant member of the Blue Man Group. He didn't have a lot of presence either. His first moment with the hammer though, got the greatest reaction from the cinema.
- Editing. Made the fight sequences kinda choppy. Some scenes were just so short and didn't flow, like Thor's cave scene and Tony's five seconds at the Nexus building.
- Music. Thought Danny Elfman would lend a better hand to the score, but apart from the Avengers theme from the first film, I can't remember any tune from the show.

Came back a few hours ago. It was... serviceable. As a transition movie, it works well, setting up Wakanda and Thanos and whatever else I missed.
As a standalone movie, it was entertaining, but it didn't do much else for me. The action was okay, with the highlight easily being the Iron Man / Hulk fight. The ending setpiece wasn't anything the first movie didn't already do, but with the HYPE three years removed. Waves of CG robots this time instead of aliens.
Maybe it's because I'm not well-versed in non-MCU Marvel stuff, but I wasn't really engaged. But that's even more of a barometer, because "better" MCU entries, like Iron Man 1, Guardians of the Galaxy, Winter Soldier, and Daredevil have engaged me despite my lack of familiarity with the umbrella.
Ultron was the real missed opportunity, I think. I don't really know anything about the character, but his birth was the most compelling thing about him-- his instant insight about the Avengers and world conflicts made it seem like his being the antagonist would be relevant, touching on our reliance on technology, surveillance, interference of powers on the developing world.
I mean, Ultron here is the singularity. He invaded the internet immediately, becoming omniscient and omnipresent. And his endgame was to make a meteorite? And they end it by beating him up. This movie is definitely based on comic books, all right.
The only scene after the credits begin is the one with Thanos, which is kind of the least exciting one they've done so far (that I've seen) because of course Thanos is going to get the gems.

So people having issues with the editing - why couldn't Joss demand it to be 10 or 20 more minutes longer ?
Not a flop at all, just a disappointment in some aspects like editing and it sounds like Ultron isn't enough of a threat to the Avengers. On the other hand, Thanos with the infinity gauntlet will be too much of a threat since he can just will people out of existence....
And bringing down a skyscraper on him.

Honestly for everyone who has seen it. Do you think DOFP having ( a better?) Quicksilver influenced them axing this Quicksilver?
Vision was so good. I wish we got more of him.
The entire sequence where everyone is arguing about activating him was grand, and he has such a great presence when he finally comes to life.
I was pretty disappointed that they axed Quicksilver since he was easily one of my favorite parts of the movie and impressed me with how they did him. I hope that whenever the cosmic stuff starts inevitably resurrecting people, he'll be back.

Here's to hoping this is the last of Avengers movies with endless cronies to fight the team. I want to see Thanos single handedly kill nearly everyone, until some time altering loophole resets the clock.
Nah, Whedon just finally got to kill someone. He's been waiting for it a for a while now.
Was pretty great that he attempted to grab Thor's Hammer while going super fast, and just threw him across the room.

My "mini" review:
Is anyone else already bracing themselves for the inevitable and tragic scene where Thanos rips the Mind Gem out of Vision's head?
I was worried for a while that he was going to off Hawkeye too because they sure as hell were setting up for it. Even though I know he's in Civil War.

I thought Quicksilver's "You didn't see that coming?" line right before he died was a sly, meta-reference; a wink-wink nudge nudge by Whedon as he purposefully set up Hawkeye's background (playing on everyone's "oh he's getting a backstory, he's dead" expectation).
In fact, there was a lot of sly meta-references. Like how Hawkeye (again, what an MVP) rejected Scarlet Witch's mindfuck, saying something like "Sorry, wasn't a big fan of being possessed" (in reference to Jeremy Renner's dislike of how they handled the character first time around).

In regards to question 2, he doesnt really but I feel its a different situation here. There hes fighting trained fighters, here its robots. He still does a lot of flashy shit in AoU and I'm immensely satisfied with his action scenes. Much, much better than what he got in the first Avengers. He can actually hold his own!

6 hours of Marvel movies over and I enjoyed AoU - I felt that Vision could have been given a bit more weight although his final scene with Ultron was good.
Hulk and Hawkeye got some serious development which I was happy to see after the first Avengers movie.
Overall, I felt that it was a lot funnier than the first Avengers movie. The 'language' references, hammer scene, War Machine's tank story, Von Strucker's surrender line, "Please be a secret door" - all great, funny lines.
I was just a bit let down with the very short teaser at the end and no Spider-Man~
