So I got to N
ightmare of Mensis and what the crap is this sinister bell crap. They have to summon other players to kill me in addition to the normal mobs? First part of this game I don't like
.

120 is way too high in this game for pvp. There's less stats so no need to go that high. Kind of sucks that as a level 100 I can get invaded/invade level 121 characters. It's all good, though, I'll roll with whatever I'm dealt.

130 here and i get a shit loud of invaders at NM and its not really that hard for me to invade either... other than it taking sometimes 10 minutes... people aren't going to not level... i find Bloodtinge on almost everyone I fight with to be really high... their well never be a meta to the majority of players .. and trying to make it 70> is just silly... I will probably abandoned it anyway.. I hate not leveling up just soo if I want to pvp a little bit I have to stop they should make PVP and COOP leveling wider between players.. like 30 or something 13 is not high enough....its not like vit in this game matters.. ever game I invade I have my health put down 500+ points.. and unless people start having good sportsmanship.. it will be vailtowin anyway... its really sad pvp although fun its not really to much fun when one fight lasts 30 minutes or more... I really hope they change things otherwise this game will be a ghost town in a few more months.

In the forest where you fist pigs there's a giant tombstone near the center. Near that area There's a fallen log you can walk across and a body up on a ledge with an item. How do you get to that item?

edit: figured it out

The number one patch this game needs is to change the insight cost for summoning so you only lose insight when you successfully summon another player. It would drastically increase the amount of co-op as well as the amount of invading.

This. It's so stupid that you lose insight for simply ringing the bell even if you don't find a player to co-op with.

yup, pretty much a day one complaint from everyone here. no reason to take away Insight for summoning attempts.

Did anyone else find the
"firefly lake"
interesting while exploring the forbidden woods area? I thought something more sinister or mysterious would be lurking in it, but it provides a bit of much needed respite instead. I don't know, I've had the feeling that there's something more to it but that's just my imagination running wild.

Bloodborne Race: 5 Hunters Killed in 00:11:50
Good to see you again, Yoshichan.

I like how the commentator kept harping on the damage the first place winner was doing but the other guys weren't doing *that* much more to compensate for superior time saving strats, especially since Cocktails were the biggest source of damage either way.
Love the #3 one
I'm still mad that there are two people in this world that downvoted my messenger sign placed behind a mindflayer that says "are you in the know? reminiscent of singing." I can also see why they removed the Umbasa reference even though it is amazing, it's a bit too on the nose.

Where it talks about Insight, how much insight should I have
so that I can see every little extra detail possible?

Just beat the game. It was really fun, probably best current gen game out right now. The chalice dungeons had so much potential for co op play but the way they work... It kind of sucks. Not sure if I'm even gonna go through them just because I only wanted to play them with my brother.

I'm glad I backed up my save cause I just want to help people for now. Doubt I'll even go through new game plus.

For Chalice Dungeon coop you can eventually unlock a short root chalice which will let you have actual matchmaking straight from the Hunter's Dream.
I got it by finishing Lower Hintertomb.

sadly 60 is the cap but it would hurt to have 99 lol

In cathedral ward there is the one path that leads you to the church giant with a giant ball and chain, what does the doorway near it lead to?
It's supposed to be the locked door behind the Cleric Beast on the Great Bridge; if you look over the edge of the cliff, you can see how connects there. The Healing Church tried to shut out the rest of Yharnam when Old Yharnam was burning by closing that door. Sadly, you can't open the door from the inside for a cool shortcut.

I had such a hard time figuring out the parry timing on the Ihyll Pthumerian Descendant that once I got it relatively down and killed the jerk, I laughed maniacally for a couple minutes. It was glorious.

I even montaged a bunch of my deaths together with the final victorious fight:

Fuck that guy. By the time I reached him, I was so ready to finish the chalice dungeons that I just said "to hell with it" and cheesed him through the pillars with ludwig.

Good morning all!

I thought I´d share a glyph-code to a dungeon I did about a week ago. It is a Sinister Ihyll-dungeon (sinister = PVP enabled) with a good weapon hidden on each of the layers.

Layer 1 =
Lost Blade Of Mercy
Layer 2 =
Logarius´ Lost Wheel
Layer 3 =
Lost Burial Blade

Whaaa? How? Where is his messenger?

I was fucking around in NG+++ (kinda done with this playthrough, saw all the endings and saw the full Eileen sidequest, finally, but I still messed around a bit in the beginning of the game...) and only just now saw that you could summon
Father Gascoigne
in Central Yharnam. I first got him from the fountain area (past the mob, where that single trick troll banging on the door is). He died to the brick trolls later on. Then I remembered there was another "use the bell for help" sign near the lamp shortcut, and I rang the bell there again, and it was him there too.
Obviously he doesn't follow down the elevator to go fight himself, haha. I imagine that if you take the long way around via the sewers he won't follow you down the ladders either. He seemed pretty weak in NG+++ and quickly died, maybe the NG+ scaling isn't so good for NPCs?

But anyway yeah, where is
Alfred
's sign in Central Yharnam? I imagine it's only available if you spoke to him and accepted cooperation? But then you're very likely to have already killed Cleric Beast, or missed it entirely, by then... weird. Unless you can summon him before meeting him. After all you can do that with Father G too.

Also, getting a close and more attentive look to the summoned NPC, I realized that
Father G is the blood minister in the intro! They look pretty much identical. I never noticed before, probably because in NG I hadn't made the connection and in later playthroughs I just skipped the cut scenes. But aren't they credited to two different voice actors? So confusing...

I can't remember exactly where but I think it was near the fountain area. I thought the game was bugged until Alfred popped up. I killed F
ather G
but skipped C
leric Beast
. I'm trying to get to
Cainhurst and acquire Chikage
ASAP but then when I couldn't buy the key for Cathedral Ward door I went back to kill C
leric Beast
and I noticed a summons messenger around there, which was odd given I had killed F
ather Gascoigne
I found A
lfred
's messenger while running around doing the NPCs talks
(Flamethrower, Old Lady, Red Ribbon
etc).

For what its worth, he was more or less useless for the C
leric Beast
. Don't even think he hit him. Just tried to swing a few times then walked around in circles.

Beat the game and started NG+ when I realized that I missed the messenger fountain where you can spend insight to buy items, haha. I kept reading about how you could spend insight, but I thought I just hadn't unlocked it in the standard store yet!

Nice!!

Tho I wonder why your game looks better than mine does

Thank you!

Oh and I have a question about the glyphs. Do they work forever or do they work as long as the dungeon isn't destroyed?

Thank you!

As far I understand, the glyph only works as long as the owner keeps it online and intact. Someone correct me if I´m way off.

He does this overhead homing energy attack. Which is fair enough because if you keep the pressure on he doesn't get to use it. Except this time he charged it...as I was jumping off the ledge to get down to his floor. So the second I hit the floor his beam one shotted me before I could roll/pick my souls up.

Livid.
Yup same thing happened to me (the death, not the bloodstain loss - my stain was right up above the ledge the next time, so I picked it up no problem).

Huh, that's weird. Pretty sure I could buy the Cathedral Ward key after killing Father G and skipping Cleric Beast in my NG+...or maybe it was because I was in NG+. Hmm.

Anyway, that's interesting. I'll try that some time.

Still haven't found any illusory walls in the chalice dungeons (only up to the 2nd floor of the 2nd dungeon). Is there anything particular I need to be watching out for? Just keep hitting walls like a lunatic. In the room below where I found the Hintertomb chalice I could hear a banging noise and I was convinced I'd missed a side room somewhere and spent 15 minutes smacking every wall in the area :/

I guess I won't ever understand why you would do this. Tried the dupe glitch in DeS and thought that it made the game boring.

Makes it vaible to do a chikage build without having to do Logarius with no stats...then you can leave all other bosses open....that is why I did it anyway.

Most annoying enemies IMOTBH

1. Singing Brain chicks.
2. Those bloodsucking motherfuckers.
3. Dogs. Fuck dogs.
4. Worms
...
7. The illithid dudes, white tentacle face fucks

There are a lot of other dudes that can be tough, sages, rolly polly dudes, bell ringing women that summon spiders, but none of them are as endlessly frustrating as these motherfuckers. IMO, of course.
