Galleria Cinema... wonder if Jubes is taking in a show?

Not bad. Hair has a New Wave-ish feel to it. Cool that they worked black and red into his clothing.

Still not a fan of who they chose for Jean. Mope-master.

Singer looks like he's making The Breakfast Club of action blockbusters. Gonna be great.

Nightcrawler looks like a teenage 80s Nightcrawler.

Just seen the concept art from Empire, this is the comic book movie of 2016 (just like DOFP was for 2014!)

Are these teens suppose to be the future of the franchise? I ask because since this is based in the 80's the future movies would still be stuck in the past since these guys aren't going to be in their 40's anytime soon.

I'm really interested to see the scenes set in ancient Egypt. Oscar Isaac's (vague) description of Apocalypse recruiting the Four-Horseman sounds really interesting.

“Without giving anything away, the recruitment of the Four Horsemen is very cool. It’s very interesting the way that he does that," he told IGN. "You know the idea of — the way that cult leaders do — they find people that are in need of something and try to fulfill that thing in them — as it relates to every one of the Horseman… On an individual level he’s able to reveal the true power of his Horsemen and what’s true to them. And I think to reveal the weakness — how weak we’ve become. Because this is an ancient entity. So to come to — I think 1983 — and say, ‘How did the world become so weak? How did we allow ourselves to become to weak and to enslave ourselves.’ I think that’s where he’s coming from.”

Who are the Four Horsemen?

Archangel? Wolverine?

It depends on which incarnation they choose to go with. But since we can pretty much assume that Archangel will be one of them, it's possible they're going with the original four.

But then again, Psylocke, Wolverine, Havok and Gambit have all been Horseman at various points throughout their history, so who knows? Given that Psylocke has been cast, I wouldn't be surprised if she's also one of them.

Gambit:

Since we dont have a Mr Sinsiter to limit Gambits powers, we can have Apocalypse settle Gambit instead in exchange for him becoming one of the Horsemen.

Maybe Mystique since she has to leave the franchise she could get killed or sacrifice herself in her horseman form.

They're probably going to hit the reset button not long after Singer and Jackman are out.

Gambit could work well I think. I wasn't sure about Channing Tatum at first, but after watching Foxcatcher I think he might have the chops to pull that off.

DOFP combined with Apocalypse pretty much is Fox pressing the reset button. As of the last film, the entire continuity has been erased. Whether or not they'll move forward with this new cast once Apocalypse is done is up in the air at the moment. It's possible that for whatever comes after Apocalypse, they could recast the roles with slightly older actors (late 20's and up).

My bet? They're waiting to see how this new cast is received. If they're a solid bunch and audiences seem to like them, they're officially the new X-Men for the next few films. If they don't? They set the next film in the early-mid 90's with a new, older cast and basically give us Jim Lee's X-Men in live-action form.

This would be amazing, I'm so hyped for this movie. I like the MCU movies (well some of them) but nothing tops X-Men for me.

Wasn't it rumoured/Singer hinted at us getting the Danger Room in this one?

Yeah, he posted that one photo on his facebook page of him standing infront of the door that would usually lead to Cerebro, but with the caption that was something like, "Old door, but something new behind it..."

Which practically everybody interpreted to mean the Danger Room, which I agree with. It's one of the major aspects of the X-Men that we've never really seen outside of that one very brief sequence in X3. Since we finally got Sentinels in DOFP, I feel like Singer knows this is more or less the one other thing (aside from Wolverine in the mask) that fans have been wanting from the start but haven't really gotten yet.
