These new changes are looking awesome. I'm not a huge fan of crucible, but it never giving me anything good was definitely a huge incentive to not play it all that much. With the buffs to crucible, experience, and legendary/exotic drops rewarded, I have a much bigger incentive to play.
Though it may be unlikely, I have a subtle fear that the Trials of Osiris will become a walled garden. The stakes are high and the incentive to win is through the roof. People are going to be less willing to part with a team that gives them success, which will make it hard for newcomers, or people who are bad to okay a PvP in general, to have break into or have any staying power in the trials.
An experienced/veteran group of players can carry an inexperienced person through a Raid. The newcomer can learn the ropes and enjoy the contents of the Raid without severally limiting the experienced players helping them. This will not be the case with Trials of Osiris.
Anyway, I hope I'm wrong. The mode itself looks to be really fun and fairly well thought out. Now, if Bungie would only allow both vanguard and crucible marks to be used to by faction gear, buff auto rifles (with the recent nerfs, there's no reason to be excited about any new auto rifles), and maybe nerf the fire rate of the Thorn so it's not so dominant in PvP.
