I've seen the film twice already so it doesn't ruin anything for me but why the hell do they continue to release so many clips, that clip has some slight spoiler dialogue in there for the latter half of the film, and also has one of Hawkeye's best lines in the film. Ridiculous.

Thanks for the heads up. Will not watch!

Dammit. :(

No way. The Infinity War climax will just be Thanos standing at the top of the ruined Avengers Tower commanding a new Chitauri army along with a revived Ultron army. Why make new assets when you can recycle existing ones?!

See I was blatantly kidding. Yours is actually possible.

At least the Chitauri thing

New clip (slight spoilers)

Hawkguy is a fucking BOSS.

Can't wait till tomorrow!!!

I know I shouldn't watch it but I need this in my life right now

edit: Oh my god that clip is so GOOD

I didnt really like it that much. The Ultron thing was done so quick. They build him in five minutes, turns evil in 30 seconds, introduces himself, then everyone knows what's up and what he's about.

The plot was just by the numbers, almost a repeat of the first film with less humour. Watching impossible men in an impossible world get thrown around, where flesh is stronger than concrete, and you can barely tell what is happening, is becoming less interesting to me. And the whole fight the robot/chitauri army thing is really dull(at least the first avengers had those giant leviathan things).

I much prefer something like the Winter Soldier, felt much more tension in that, that thing's were at stake that Captain America could fail. The action was much more down to earth, the lift scene and highway scene are works of art.

You're watching a superhero ensemble movie and you expect the action to be down to earth? Might as well stop watching these kinds of movies then, because it's only going to be more outlandish from this point on.

Doing a marathon lead-in to the show, so my day tomorrow is looking like:

10 AM: The Avengers
12:30 PM: Iron Man 3
2:45 PM: Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Then it's off to stand in line until 7 PM when Age of Ultron starts

Superhero's can be down to earth, object's can have weight and inertia, and not everything has to behave as if it's made of tissue paper. Your right I should stop watching these film's.

Saw it. Thoughts:

The editing and pacing are off, the drama and tension artificial (there were moments where this one got almost to Transformers levels of tension), and I'm still not a fan of the banter present in these films.

It does however show these "universe" movies being connected is mostly bs. On surface they are, but the immersion is easily broken. 5/10

No one should be worried about the RT score. What they should be worried about is that many long time Marvel fans, including total shills like me, were let down by the film. :)

American critics went hard on it, 6.3 for top critics put it's next to CA: FA and Man of Steel.

Still want to see it.

2 hours to go, heres hoping it wont dissapoint.
Salsa, if you read this, and by any chance are going to the premiere tonight,(Punta Carretas), look for a Gaf t shirt.

Alright guys, I know I said I was leaving the thread before, but that was a lie. But now I'm really out. Gonna finish up watching Daredevil (I'm on ep 9) and plow through some Agents of SHIELD before my marathon tomorrow. I'll pop back in for some more hype when I'm in line tomorrow for the main event, and then I'll see you all in the spoiler thread

Peace

Better or worse than the first for you?

It launched today in Puerto Rico. I give it 8 out of 10. It's definitely lacking the wow effects of the first avenger, and certain cuts are noticeable, also can't shake the "this is filler" feeling waiting for the big bad boss in Thanos. Still an amazing movie. Kick ass action scenes and the character interaction us what makes this movie so so awesome. The special effects are a leap beyond from the usual marvel level movie (I find the cgi from their movies weak) and the soundtrack is a definite improvement. I wouldn't have minded if it lasted a little more. I am a bit disappointed with (don't read this until you watch it)
the end battle disappointed me as I feel Ultron went down too easy similar to Loki .
. Still an absolute must see. It fares very well compared to Avengers 1, although I don't feel a real need to rematch it as I did with it. Watched in a Liemax with Dolby atmos... BTW atmos sound amazing.

Headed back to Houston tomorrow to watch Age of Ultron in IMAX with my little bro. I'll give my thoughts on the film & the IMAX 3D effect then, but my ranking will wait until my mind can properly digest the film.

For reference, I consider Guardians & Winter Soldier to be tied for best MCU film to date.
