Playtonic unveils Yooka-Laylee (Banjo Kazooie successor) [Kickstarter LIVE - Funded]

I think that I am in the opposite of many, I think the same and especially the art style is absolutely horrendous. I mean it could have been Bubsy-Gex and even that would have had more charm. Also the gameplay shown on the videos look really dull, but that's expected after so short development time.

You guys, I think I need help. I can't stop listening to "Jungle Challenge." I'm gonna break the replay button! Seriously though, some God-tier music there. The full soundtrack should be incredible.

Collect-em-up 2.0: A roster of shiny collectibles with gameplay progression at their core (as well as other, more valuable materials). Every collectible type in our new game will expand gameplay in a meaningful way. Yes, we employ the man responsible for DK64's myriad of trinkets, but we've had a stern word. Our main collectible, Pagies, are used to unlock and expand new worlds in Yooka-Laylee.

LMAO.

Whos paying for this game to get made? Theyre asking for 250k, which is impossibly low for a game like this, so are they getting funding from somewhere else?

Just finished reading over their page. Love the music and video footage they gave along with the trademark Rare humor.

I've pledged 65 pounds / $87 for now but I may up it again to over $100 in the future. That N64 cart is such a tease. :p

Man the console versions are the very last stretch goal at $1 million? Makes me hesitant to pledge but I may just bite.

They'll happen regardless if that goal is hit or not. That is to have those versions launch day-and-date with the PC release.

Beaten like this kickstarter goal will be.

If I had a spare $5,000 laying around I would totally spring for that VA backer reward but holy SHIT did this take off faster than I thought it would. And it's only the first day! So happy to see that the love for the 3D platformer and the Rare games of yore are still alive and well.

Console versions are all confirmed regardless of stretch goal, the stretch goal will verify they all release with the same features on the same day.

That David Wise track makes me want to cry. It's Tropical Freeze with a dash of Diddy Kong Racing sprinkled throughout oh my goodness i can't

Just backed $46 for the Digital Deluxe Edition. This is the first game I've ever supported on Kickstarter. I need it.

It's on all platforms no matter what, but the 1m stretch goal is for a simultaneous day one release on all platforms. If they don't hit that then it'll be spread out release, with PC coming first.
