Well went and saw Age of Ultron instead with the family. 31 bucks better spent than 100 for fight. Though I would like to thank Mr. Money for helping me out betting wise after I got hosed on the Derby. Had a boxed exacta with Pharoah, Dortmund, and Frosted. Firing Line comes in second and hosed me lol. It was my first day betting online and it made everything more entertaining today. Bet 50 on Floyd and won 25. Also took the Spurs getting 2.5 and eeked out a .5 pt win.

Sorry for those that paid for the fight and didn't enjoy. Hopefully you had friends over and that was worth it. Night GAF

Ya it's legit, but just not fun to watch.

No it's not the ref should have done something Other then warn Mayweather the whole match. If Mayweather actually started losing points for excessive holding the fight would have been 50x better but instead all he did was warn the whole time.

No way. You can't tell me with a straight face this was an entertaining fight to watch. There was barely any suspense and certainly not much damage being done. It was a defensive masterpiece for sure, but otherwise not much to get out of it.

Pacquiao isn't exactly a saint himself. Neither of these two are very likeable outside of the ring.

It was something I was waiting for a long time.

Was it the greatest fight ever? No, but compared to anything else going on right now it kept me somewhat entertained. It is also a big event I will be able to tell my grandkids I witnessed when they ask me in the future.

You don't watch much boxing do you?

Anyway, this fight was fucking disappointing. Manny totally underdelivered. Money played his part. He boxed like he always has. Manny seemed afraid to fucking attack. It was never more apparent than the final round. Again, embarrassing.

Put your shirt back on guy. I just said Mayweather moved around the ring well, I guess you disagree.

Maybe now that god chose Floyd to win, Manny can abandon his homophobia.

I think they're both incredibly super rich. The kind that super exceeds someone's values. Money throws his money on the ground while people worship him in desperate situations. Manny doesn't have to pay a cent for the rest of his life and he may have some incredibly harsh values.

I don't think the thought of what's right or what's wrong even matters.

They both go back to a life of the rich and the glamorous.

Everyone complaining it was boring, what did you expect?

It's like eating Taco Bell and then being surprised or upset when your ass is exploding on the toilet 20 minutes later.

But that doesn't happen with Taco Bell.

Also speaking as a "casual" (a term which I hate), I think with all the hype and the billing as the "fight of the century" we were expecting what we saw in old Ali videos.

It didn't help that Money said he was better than Ali, then went full technical boxing and nothing close to knockout boxing.

I love the real boxing fans laughing at the casual fans reaction. It's clear the remaining fans of the sport are content with it not expanding its audience.

Ask any boxing fan if they'd take a rematch of this or Tyson - Lewis...

You act like boxing is irrelevant. Call me when a single UFC fight rakes in >$200m...

All this talk of running...hmm.

Someone in the past, not sure who, famously said. Fly like a butterfly sting like a bee...or something...I don't know...Help me out here.

Money fought a beautiful fight crowd went wild for the Manny flurries, but by the 10th round it settle in that money had it in the bag. Then place just erupts into laughter during the Manny interview.

Why do people expect any of Mayweathers fights to be anything but boring? He's a boxer, not a fighter, there's a difference. And he is definitely not the greatest of all time so people need to learn more about boxing before they start throwing that title around. He's great for his era. But this era is probably the worst ever so........

How is this boring boxer making so much money every fight?
Boring fights every time.

Fuck this man.

People pay to see him lose or get knocked the fuck out because hes arrogant and kind of a shitty person.
I love how unflappable he is in the ring though, his defense and reaction speed is insane.

Man people are acting like they didn't pay for a Floyd fight.

Dudes a genius in the ring. Those fucking left jabs of his are always amazing to watch.

I wanted Manny to win but the game is boxing. You gotta win rounds or get that fucker down.

This is clearly not a fight just for fans of the sport, I don't see why that is hard to realise. You don't have to be a boxing enthusiast to have been interested in this fight, many people will find it shit.

My Post:

It's not UFC man. Even Klitchsko got a decision on Jennings. If you are a fan of the sport or have been watching for the past few years I don't know what you were expecting.

You see the bold underlined and italicized highlight? That is why i specifically stated that anyone even a casual person knew this was not going to be a knockout. I clearly stated boxing fans and anyone who has been watching in teh last few years meaning non-enthusiasts. Again to re-iterate or have been watching for the past few years. You don't have to be an enthusiast to see what the sport has become there are not enough big fighters so they have to last physically. They are stretched out think about it Floyd and Manny current have the sport of boxing on their backs. It's 5 years late again if your a "enthusiast" or have been watching for the past few years translation any smart regular person who watches even a little knew it was gonna be a decision.

General consensus over Twitter.

Boxing is dead.
Hugs, headlocks and running.
Fuck Mayweather.

This is probably now the start of MMA taking over.

Boxing is weird....I mean how does the guy that runs away the whole time, is never aggressive, and hugs the other guy every time he gets hit, win the match? This guy is suppose to be the best fighter in the world, but he looks far more interested in running away then actually punching the other guy. I mean I get he's trying not to get hit, but to do that the whole match and win, that just doesn't make any sense to me.

What makes it even more dumb is they say Pac wasn't aggressive but every single time he got it going, Mayweather just hugged him. How is that even legal? It's not like they are accidentally getting tangled up either. Mayweather just straights up hugs him so he can't get hit anymore. I just don't get it, but like I said, boxing is weird, which is probably why it's dying. I mean what do you expect when the guy wins and get's paid millions of dollars to run away and hug a guy for a little over an hour, how is that even a fight?

Dull and boring as all fuck.

You took a huge L if you bought that trash. Neighbor was mad as fuck, while the rest of us just laughed that we had the good sense not to bother paying for it.

If thats the best the sport can offer these days, they can keep it. No interest in buying multiple PPVs for boxing anymore, those days are long gone.

I dont know about all that. MMA is what it is. I dont expect it to 'takeover' anything.

But I know a boring fucking fight when I see one. And this fight was anything BUT entertaining. The only people getting any enjoyment/energy out of this fight are the fanboys on each side cheering/crying about the win/loss. The rest of the viewers are mad they paid for it.

mrH79W0.gif

Yeah and throw in a jab every once in awhile. Oh and don't forget about the 20 or so hugs that Mayweather gave.

I had Mayweather winning but he was such a pansy tonight.

People don't get it. With all the hype, the boxers go in thinking they have to take down Floyd, like he's their worst enemy and he kicked their dog, but all that does is allow Floyd to play it perfectly by being on the defense, as he should be.

If anyone wanted to beat Floyd and knew how to, they would have gone in the fight on the defensive, trying to let Floyd come at them. NO ONE did it, so of course it's like maths, 1+1=2, every time, they play to his advantage and lose.

We really gotta stop this domestic violence tangent, when most of us are doing other things than church on Sundays.

#HutHut

Bruh, I don't go to church but that doesn't mean I can't say domestic violence is shitty. Both are dickheads in their own ways.

The boxing though? Clearly Mayweather won, but it was boring as shit. Not worth all the hype.

It's boxing, not a fight (technically).

Then how did Mayweather throw more punches, and connect more?

Clinching, running the ropes, boring as hell. Pretty much what I expected. Pac had a few good moments when you thought he could do it but every time he followed it up with a terrible round and no activity.

The only thing I saw I did not expect was all the damned Randy Orton headlocks.

Pac just didn't do enough.

I guess people were expecting Pac to come in and level Mayweather but instead they got the average Mayweather fight for way more than the usual price.

You act like boxing is irrelevant. Call me when a single UFC fight rakes in >$200m...

Certainly not irrelevant. The draw this match had is enough to put any thought of that to rest. It's just an old boy's clubhouse of sports and the people that get it are content with keeping the one's that don't out.

It's like the opposite of soccer in the US.

Until a submission artist takes over the sport, and people do the same song and dance by calling his/her style of fighting a boring disgrace to the sport after enough dominance.
