Destiny House of Wolves Reveal Thread

Was hoping we'd get a huge variety of creative objectives. But I'm just tuning in. Maybe they had objectives where they had to defend something air earlier.

There was one where you had to capture points (like in Control) and also kill the VIP. Think that was it.

Yeah, would like to see some new, non-boss enemies. So far, all just regular scrubs.

I wouldn't expect this until Destiny 2. MAYBE the comet.

Introducing new enemy units is going to be a big programming feat with the current AI system. It's not a matter of just building an enemy, but building their personalities. How they interact with the player, their own friendlies, and other NPC hostile forces.

Man could broman be anymore annoying and LOUD. This is everything i feared it would be simple horde mode with rounds, dont know how long this will hold my attention.

These three guys are so damn annoying... I could only take it for 15 minutes. Looks okay, I guess, but there's zero strategy, just waves of enemies in a tight space.

Looks like major fun; though I had to turn off the stream. I could not handle Broman and his screeching plus I couldn't stand watching people play terribly.

Which is why Bungie has allowed Matchmaking. I bet the "hard mode" variants are pretty unique.

Also, is the stream over? I stopped watching after they entered the Cabal room. Broman was too much.

They're still going. I guess they want to finish it off to show the people what a full game is like.

So insted of a raid we will get four rooms with waves of enemies and a few objectives? im hope im missing something.
It's a horde mode with objectives, modifiers and bosses. Don't know what you expected? :p

Isn't this the hard mode?
No, its the second one.

Wow, it only took an hour of wipes before this jackass finally decided to enable Fireborn! You guys really want match-making with people like this? :)

Yeah that's the thing even though this was the level 34 version and supposed to be unique; it didn't look that different? Perhaps on the last round there is something "unique".

We want options. That's what Bungie is finally giving.

If you don't want to play matchmaking, you simply don't.

And that was totally the VIP icon from Halo 3. This really is a mashup of the best of their prior games.

They are getting thrashed, wow. Though a level 35 dude is kinda cheap. :\

Um...NO.

This goes into a sidenote feel..

I wish more areas in the game had enemies that were above the max level. It would make some areas of patrol seem more mysteries if there was always enemies that could kick your shit in - it made the Hive on the patrol in the beta much more cooler to interact with, now they're just pop pop dead.

that being said, overleveling enemies is about the only way to really do "Legendary" in Destiny for capped out players. It doesn't feel so cheap to me, but rather an alternate way of making enemies harder without giving them massive HP bars or burn resistances.

No, that would upend one of the smartest design decisions in the game. It forces you to create different builds, keeps legendary gear relevant and encourages experimentation. The whole point of exotic gear is to enable unique builds without making legendary gear obsolete.

There's no such thing as builds in Destiny. Sure there's unique gimmicks here and there, but exotics are pretty much 1 or 2 that are the best and that's what people use.

Yea I'm not feeling this one bit. So for me this expansion is pretty much useless. I hate the PVP and this horde mode just doesn't look fun.

And people use those weapons in the worst places. Modifiers will make many different builds viable.

That would be fine if it worked that way. The weekly is forced matchmaking and two weeks ago I had to quit twice because both match made players were AFK for more then 5 minutes while I progressed.

Take out the forcing it and if people want to torture themselves with that be my guest.

Yo this Broman tool is making this stream unwatchable

Did anyone hear about the special perk the Vestian Dynasty sidearm had? Broman started screeching before the Bungie dude could finish his sentence.

Bungie pls activate god mode and mute Broman
