2015 PC Screenshot Thread of the Only Place Where Compression Isn't

Arkham Origins/Mastereffect

Disappointing in terms of visuals/gameplay compared to Rocksteady games.

Wow! This would definitely warrant a replay. I assume Reshade/MasterEffect Reborn? Mind sharing your preset?

I didn't make much changes to be honest, it's just rendered at 1440 res +SMAA and FXAA (yes, I put some fxaa over smaa... Xzibit.jpg)

And looking at the sweet fx setting... I fucked up without even knowing lol, I have HDR enabled instead of bloom, well that's surprising. I should take more care what I do, that's why the picture got darker with more contrast I suppose.
EDIT: Bloom via Gemfx!

Then grain activated, I reduce that until it's a very slight effect.

And most importantly, Ambient Occlusion and Martys SGSSI which fakes color bouncing/indirect lighting. AO and SGSSI can be a bit messy here and if you like a clean picture you probably wont like it as it's pretty rough looking with low poly games like this and too taxing on the hardware if you crank the quality up, I used standard settings. But I really like the overall effect this effect has so theres that.

If you want to use the CE table I'd need to upload it somewhere and clean it up before, but I can't guarantee it is working on a different computer as it's only pointer scanned, no aob. Your call.

They won't loose quality? Because I think that screenshots taken with FRAPS directly in PNG, look worse than BMP.

So the only option would be take them in BMP and then convert them to PNG or JPG
PNGs are lossless unless there's some crazy variant being used, or an internal conversion that I'm not aware of. If you have a game that you can pause and screenshot, try doing that so you get the screenshot with a BMP, and then restart FRAPS and take the same screenshot with a PNG. You should be able to flip back and forth in a web browser or image viewer and look for differences, checking with an image editor to make sure.

SpartanForce: Are these Wolfenstein screeenshots worth of posting here? No down-sapling, no graphic tweaks (I guess it's not even max. ingame setting), it's little bit underexposed with HUD...
Maybe I'm a minority, but I like seeing screenshots like this. It gives me an idea what the game would look like on my actual system at a good framerate, since I am very unlikely to downsample / change colors / etc.

I'd personally rather have stuff like that here, and fancier edited shots in a no-HUD artshots thread, but I seem to recall the no-HUD artshots thread was not very popoular.

I don't get it. How do people make pCARS look less jaggy. This is on Ultra with everything cranked up at 1440p

Might not be a answer you're looking for, but pCARS is the hardest game to get rid of jaggies! As a bare minimum you should try downsampling from 5120x2880.

I downsample my pic's from 8k and it's still a jag-fest, so don't feel so bad!

I'm using dpx for my AC3 preset and was having similar issues. One workaround I found was to remove some of the tint color in tone mapping using the defog settings and it seemed to work for the most part.

Yeah, that Sfx profile does really great things to blues, but reds get kinda fucked over in the process..
the cineon dpx shader tends to switch colors in my experience.

I decided to try the config Vampire posted but I just drove myself to get rid of the orange makeover. Problem was in the vibrance shader. This is what I came up with (tweaked levels and vibrance).

Ass. Effect? :)

What's it like to play? I feel like that would give me a headache.

Upon looking further I should have known. The crowd as well. Still, the cars and rain look pretty damn good.

Nah, it's just the coast's sunset and sunrise that are that color. Rest of the game isn't that color :)
