Are you sure that's not because of this? The bug was still present when I played through the game around two years ago.
That bug is gone! And only affected SLI rigs really.

Is it known how big the game is yet? Bytes I'm talking about here![]()
I wonder how much that 1000 dollar titan costs to produce....200 bucks?

Hi Gaf, do you think I'd be better off playing the PS4 version? My laptop has the following specs:
Intel i7-3630QM
GeForce GT 650M 2xSLI
16 GB Ram
Yeah that probably is the reason. I just use it for all stress tests because of it![]()

I wish i could have something like this, nice rig dude, what do you expect to run Witcher 3 at ?
Jesus. I better win that lottery today, otherwise I'd never be able to build a beast like this. But I mean, I got 4 out of 7 numbers right in last week's lottery and 3 right two weeks ago, surely I'll get 5 right this week? It's only logical
Your setup is just a hair above the PS4's GPU specs. So it comes down to what you'd prefer. On PC, the game is cheaper, youy'll have the option of mouse and keyboar dina ddition to gamepad, mods will be a thing in the future, and you cna make the graphics consessions you want to make to run at the frame rate you want to run at.
On console you have.... well, it's probably hooked up to your TV, so bigger screen. So unless you're willing to connect your lappy to your TV your PS4 might be a good way to play it on the couch.
That bug isnt in the game anymore!
When that bug occured, GPU usage went down, not up.
Noticed an interesting thing while playing The Old Blood. My page file usage is through the roof, while my RAM usage is hovering around 50% tops. I've got 16 GB, so that should be more than enough for most games.
Weird that Windows is using the page file over physical memory. Any ideas?
Sure it's Windows and not another good IDTech5 feature?

The only ones who got rekt are PC users with high end gpus , rip.
Would I be able to play this at ~30FPS on any setting at all on my new laptop (i5-5200, 8GB, GTX 950m 4GB)?
Should I even bother trying the witcher 3 on this pc guys?
AMD athlon II x4 645 processor
4gb ram
560 ti
I could run the witcher 2 ultra settings at around 30fps but I'm guessing the witcher 3 is gonna be a lot more demanding.
How is the ps4 version looking? I'm hoping to build something fresh next year so should I wait till then or does the ps4 version seem like it's pretty good?
I see :/ Never played the The Witcher series (though I got the first two on Steam) and thought I might start with the new one after all this praise. However I'm not sure if I could ever finish a game this long at the moment, anyway. Might grab it next year or so for cheap, when I have a PS4 or, who knows, a gaming PC.I do not think so. The 950m is significantly weaker then the bare minimum a gtx 660.

Disable your page file.
Yeah, by people who read that it's a bad idea on the internet.I thought this was generally considered a bad idea?
In theory, you're set for 1440pso in theory Im set to easily get 1080p ultra + hairworks or whatever its called?
i5 4690k
2 x gtx970 SLI
16gb ram
I've never understood how people can build a computer but not be able to make an educated estimate of how well teir rig will run a game going by its specs.
Yeah, by people who read that it's a bad idea on the internet.
I do more with my PC than 99% of the population, and I haven't had a page file since I built a system with 12 GB of memory in 2009.
My Problem is not with the GPU (750ti 2GB VRAM) but with CPU (Pentium G3258 3.20GHz) And RAM (8GB DualChannel DDR3)

Depends on how much your software needs, but these days not really. I'd say 16 GB is the point where in the vast majority of cases you can happily disable your page file.Would you recommend that even if you have 8 GB of RAM?
Examples? The only one I know is Warhammer 40k DoW, and that has a command line option to disable the check (and works perfectly without it).Few games do require an existing page file though.![]()
Wasn't there a problem with GTAV when launching it or something?Depends on how much your software needs, but these days not really. I'd say 16 GB is the point where in the vast majority of cases you can happily disable your page file.

can I run this game medium to high ish settings at 1080p with a GTX 570 and
I5 2500k 4.5ghz CPU?
