Ka himself as far as his voice and delivery is pretty similar to his other recent albums. The beats are what elevate it. I always enjoy Ka on the mic, but this production just makes him that much better. More interesting than Night's Gambit or Grief Pedigree imo.

i didn't dislike Night's Gambit by any means but I found some songs difficult to listen to. I mean literally difficult to listen to, as in his voice almost sounded like a mumble at times. But that was a long time ago so who knows I may be full of it lol

I agree that overall Yen Lo has the best production Ka has rapped over. It's like Preservation said "let's take all of those dark, atmospheric tracks you do every now and then (Cold Facts, Up Against Goliath, You Know It's About, Peace Akhi) and make an entire album like that." I fux with it.

A couple tracks feel a bit stale (but not bad), but really my only complaint is that the RZA-esque beat towards the end of the last track isn't rapped over. Give me that as a bonus track pls.
