You guys might want to try sweetfx + reshade. Some of these comparisons are just incredible.

Might use it when my game arrives.
You're right, as far as I can tell adaptive vsync also works with in-game vsync turned off.Turning on only adaptive doesnt make the job?
Report back of you could. Waiting on my 970 to arrive today. I'd very much like to hit high settings with HBAO+ and 1080/60. Be interested to know how it hits you.
Just got a text as I'm writing this, card arriving in the next hour. So hyped!![]()
I will try here... Adaptive never worked well for me. Maybe my luck change using it with ingame vsyncYou're right, as far as I can tell adaptive vsync also works with in-game vsync turned off.
However, I noticed jsut now that adaptive vsync introduces some nasty tearing, unless you set the framerate cap to unlimited. But without that framerate cap the game is stuttering quite badly. So the choice seems to be between stuttering and tearing.

So anyone with a 770 can share their experience? I have the 4GB model and would like to know what I'm getting into since I've yet to download the game at home.
Well I'm getting 55-70fps on my TitanX with everything maxed out (including hairworks)
Is this right? I was expecting at least a stable 80fps.
My rig:
I7 5930k 3.5Ghz
64GB RAM DDR4
2x 480GB SSD Raid0
TitanX

How good is the 30fps lock in this game? I will probably pick it up tonight. If it's smooth, I might play it on my TV with a controller and all bells and whistles.
Then again, I remember W2 being shit without a keyboard...
So I have V-Sync ON in-game, with FPS cap set to 30.
However, on my MSI 7850 to HDTV via HDMI, I have a horrible horizontal line.
The line is always in the same place, at least until the game is restarted, but I'll have to research more to verify if that even changes it.
It looks a lot like a V-sync tear, but I'm not sure if V-sync isn't working or if it's a problem with the graphics card, possibly related to the fact that I duplicate my screen to a DVI monitor as well. It does keep happening once switching to just the one screen though.
I think someone with the same issue mentioned moving the slider all the way to fullscreen to fix this.

No confirmation in this post but I have this installed to an SSD and have had zero problems.Anybody running to problems playing this on a normal hard drive? Wondering if I should make space on my ssd whilst I wait for this damn post man
Lock it yourself with MSI Afterburner and half-refresh rate vsync from the control panel. I never rely on the game to do it since doing it myself guarantees smooth results every time.

I have it installed on my 4TB WD Red (5400rpm drive), and I do get occasional loading stutter similar to Watch Dogs. Haven't tried it on my SSD yet, so I don't know if the HDD is a bottleneck.Anybody running to problems playing this on a normal hard drive? Wondering if I should make space on my ssd whilst I wait for this damn post man
So the game runs rather decent on my system sporting an i7-2600k and a 2GB GTX 770 factory OC'd to 1150 MHz.
Everything on in post processing, with HBAO+.
In graphics, Hairworks off. Everything on Ultra excluding Grass Density and Foliage Visibility Range, both of which are on High.
Fps locked at 30fps at 1080p (unlocked fps ranges from 30 to 60).
Only issue is that I'm noticing minor stutters here and there. Is anyone else noticing this? If yes, have any of you been able to find a fix. Typing in "Witcher 3 pc stutter" into Google only brings up stuff about the Xbox One version. Thought you guys might know. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
What's the lowest resolution available? Wondering if there's any setting my 560m can handle
No confirmation in this post but I have this installed to an SSD and have had zero problems.
No way! From the moment I click Continue my 5400rpm HDD loads the game in less than 20 seconds. (White Orchard savegame)I could've sworn I read something about minute long load times somewhere? If that's the case I should probably do the same
Factory overclocked, yes. When you say stock, do you mean 0/0 so factory overclocked or undeclocked to reference speeds?
I'm really starting to consider just being done with nVidia now. Reading benchmarks for the game, I was under the impression that Kepler was neglected and then reading around on various other forums, other people seem to have the same impression not just now but last year too.
I think I might just buy the 390x now instead of the next big Maxwell.
I've really been a bit of an nVidia fan lately too. Last AMD card I bought wasn't even by AMD, it was ATI and I haven't went to AMD because I kept thinking their drivers and general performance in games was worse. Now I'm not so sure.
This frustration might have just gave me that push I needed to take the plunge and go AMD this next round.
Definitely thinking about picking up a 970 to replace my aging 670, especially if I get the game for free, since this game is the reason I'd really be upgrading. (and DiRT Rally and ProjectCARS too...)
I currently have:
i7 3770k @ 3.5
8gb RAM
GTX 670
There isn't any reason to upgrade my processor still, right? Maybe get a better cooling setup and overclock? I feel like the real bottleneck is the GPU at this point.
Well, I haven't played a lot yet...just gotten to the first village and so far the experience has been a very smooth one with 60fps at 1080p with everything at ultra excluding Hairworks (turned off) and my rig is:
i5-3570k at 4.1ghz
8gb ram
gtx 780 dcu2 OC edition

-For those who can't start the game-Hmmm, I have been using GOG Galaxy and getting crashes. Is that the culprit??
Edit: and what is that Omega driver for?
I think I have solution for game.My game suffer from this Problem. When I online(internet) everything is fine.In offline mode you have unblock "witcher3.exe" from internet.Simple.You have to allow "witcher3.exe" to accessing internet in firewall even you not online. That is because it needs a connection to your localhost 127.0.0.1.
Or simple way is delete those file and game Run Perfectly without Error:
bin\ddi\GOG.dll
bin\x64\Galaxy.dll
Ok, thanks.MFAA is an optimization used on top of MSAA. TW3 doesn't support or use MSAA so MFAA can't work with it.

How is the foliage now with HBAO+ working? Does the game looks better than you were expecting?
