Carmen save for her jawline or whatever at the time of filming was fish to me.
Courtney is weak on terms of shape. Manila gets better shape n her outfits.

Season 2.
Yeah, bring on season 8. Hopefully it will have better editing, better challenges, and a better cast. With a good asian queen, a big queen that isn't bitter and insecure, older queens that aren't cannon fodder, black queens with fashion sense and a chance at winning, and less than 5 personality-less skinny white "look" queens that will garner huge tumblr fanbases despite having no performing ability.
Christ Season 7 sucked.
I think this season will be remembered for its horrible team challenges which sucked the personality out of all the contestants. Even though this wasn't the most exciting bunch of queens, I think more singles challenges would have made a big difference in their "characterization".

Coz Katya would have killed the challenge and been a shoe-in to win the whole thing. She's got Pearl's likability, Ginger's theatricality, Violet's fashion breadth, and Kennedy's performance ability. Plus her past as an addict and her low self-confidence adds all the vulnerability they say you need. Literally the whole package. Pisses me off that she's not in the finals.
Yeah totally didn't expect that elimination, everyone at our watch party downtown was like "bye Pearly gurl". I have a soft spot for Pearl so I'm happy to see SOMEONE I legit enjoy in the top 3 but, as I said, it feels incomplete. Ginger and Violet earned their spots tbh.
I have a feeling Ginger's winning it.

I love Pearly but hell no she shouldn't win. It kinda destroys the whole integrity of the competition when the lowest performing queen gets to win over the more consistent players. Every single winner earned the crown by having the best performance record, so this season shouldn't be any different. Pearl is far more likable and interesting than Violet and Ginger (which is why she's my second favorite queen after Katya) but it definitely would throw the whole rulebook of the show out the window if she was crowned. Ginger "deserves" the win more than anyone else, even though her runways are dire. She's got the most C.U.N.T at the end of it all, and has proven her talents most consistently.

Damn, I feel so conflicted about Ginger. I genuinely love her when she performs, but that Untucked... the way she was back pedaling with Pearl just made her seem even more insincere. I don't think she was shady when she clocked Pearl, I think it was right on, but her falling all over herself to apologize to Pearl and Violet was weak as hell. Not a cute look!

I dunno, this season seemed to play up Ginger's strengths, so of COURSE she was going to look good. (much like Jinkx excelling for most of S5 but so did Alaska but she was scolded despite performing well in a few challenge)
I think Pearl has a lot of potential AND appeal which is probably what they want in a winner.

They both do. Though I'm not really sure what the outcome is other than not-Ginger.
She really didn't wanna upset Pearl, you could see it with the way she was apologizing. Like, Ginger can be real but I think she's afraid she really hurt Pearl.
To me, I completely agree with Violet in that I would much prefer Rupauls Best Friend Race, but I'm not a fan of conflict or drama in competitions. I understand where Ginger came from with her comments, Kennedy's came across as more bitter than Ginger's to me, but you can see why Violet and Pearl acted the way they did.
At this point, Pearl is my favourite but I don't believe she's completely deserving of a win (top 3 for sure), I would much rather Ginger win than Violet but I'll honestly be okay if any of them win.

Integrity pretty much flew out the window after season two when it became a popularity contest due to the outcry of two black queens won back to back. Unlucky for Ru, all the fans of her show aren't like me, who will keep watching despite loathing everyone who has won outside of Bebe and Bianca. It's easy to accept shitty winners when the amount to nothing after winning.
Agreed. But because she's old/fat/bitter/whatever the viewing public aren't here for it and will threaten to boycott the show if their shallow fave doesn't win. You'd think gays would be more accepting of differences but here we are again with the masses rooting for the skinny bitches. Pearl may be a cute boy, but like Milk before her, she's got fuck all for presence. I've seen nothing from Violet, including her porno, that moved me in any way. Oh look... a corset... again.
I haven't watched the ep yet, but I have watched Untucked, and if that is anything to go buy Violet should have been gone. But oh well...

I hope we got an All Stars 2 soon. And it hopefully won't have that paired nonsense like AS1. It'd be nice to revisit some of the previous queens again, and it'd give the talent pool for new queens to fill up again for new seasons.
Sadly, I actually agree with this. If Pearl weren't a "hot" boy outside of drag, I don't think he'd be nearly as popular, because he has shit for presence.
His stoner-like lack of presence gets spun as a positive, but boy... I'm sure that's going to get him a lot of gigs booked when this is done...

As a character, Pearl is the most quirky and likeable, her looks are interesting and her acting skill etc has developed over the season. Violet is fierce but I don't get much of a character from her, just lots of self-confidence.

Kennedy grew on me throughout the season, I respect what she does and I loved hearing her accent and the shit she said. Ginger in Untucked I just wanted her to shut the fuck up, trying to backpeddle but she was just digging her own hole deeper - reminded me of Roxxxy in S5 during the same acting/characters video challenge and her spite towards Jinx. Pearl wasn't having any of it and saw straight through her explaining.
I'm with Michelle, was that really Violet's best drag? I loved Pearl's look, but Violet was kind of boring - both of them being wooden as fuck in the green screen bit had me cracking up though - Pearl with her Frankenstein, Dawn of the Dead stomps and Violet's catching all the flies lipsyncing. Stomp 'n' Shout.
I don't really care who wins, bring on All Stars 2 or season 8 - just have less fucking group acting challenges!

It just sucks we didn't get any stand up comedy or roast challenges. Those were always my favorite after Snatch Game.
