Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

Damn, it's 2am here. I'm planning on grabbing the game in a store tomorrow, so basically the sooner I fall to sleep, the sooner I can play this game. This all would be fine if I could get to sleep, but I can't, at all. Zero sleep in me. :[

1. eShop
2. play Splatoon NOW!
3. ?
4. Get fresh!

You're welcome daydream <3

Splatoon get!

NYC Best Buy, I pre-ordered. I got a couple of weird emails today, first one saying it had been delayed until May 22 and then another that it would be ready for pick up tomorrow. But my order status said it was ready for pick up today so I just printed it out and went. Took them forever to locate it but I got it.
You're lucky. I got the same email (but mine said the 26th) so I went to pick it up but they said they couldn't give it to me til tomorrow. I even showed him the email.

I might just cancel it and go digital since it's only $9 more.

Dude, just get the digital version.

Friend got so bummed out that party matchmaking isn't in. Might not even get it anymore. It killed all his hype :(

Well, he'll either just wait till August I guess...or still jump in now and just join a friend in a current match. Sucks that its not here at launch, but its not impossible to jump in.

Oh god, I been on the fence about this game since it got announced since I'm not much of a shooter fan and I suck really bad at them, but I just can tell this will be one of those special multiplayer games that I really want to be part of since day 1.

It also doesn't help that I recently just spent over $80 on Hyrule Warriors + DLC

What to do...

You know you want to get splatted by Greg and I. You know you want to.

I'll have to wait a bit to really dive into it though because I'll be at a con for most of the weekend.

That sounded like a 100% yes to me. Go get it.

Wow, this game is crazy good. I got it yesterday and played it for hours.

It is interesting to see how the way one plays the game changes over time. Once one figures out that there are certain spots on the maps that are crucial to control, it becomes very tactical.

Just amazing all around. But I am already in need for more maps...

Only a little more than 3 hours to go!

It might end up being different for you, but I am not a fan of shooters myself and have absolutely fallen in love with the gameplay of Splatoon so far. My problem with shooters is that I just want to run around like crazy and shoot people, which is generally a bad strategy. Splatoon has enough movement options where you can go a little crazy and run all over the map if you want to. The game just feels good to control.

As someone who is a shooter fan, I can say that this isn't really a shooter, and I'm very glad it isn't! :D

Got burned out badly on other MP shooters with all the headaches that seem to come with them nowadays.
Ended up grabbing the digital copy since my physical one won't be here till next week and I simply couldn't wait. A whole weekend without Splatoon was a bit too much. ;)

Just got done playing from 2 and a half hours. It's the first game that has been able to tear me away from the Witcher, and I can't wait to play more of it tomorrow night.
The only reason I'm calling it a day is since it's nearly 3AM and I have to work tomorrow.

Absolutely brilliant game! So much fun and best of all, it's actually something brand new!

Now I just alternate between Mario Kart 8 and Smash Bros 4 until Splatoon is mine!

I caved. Broke my New Years Resolution of not buying any new games until I finish the ones I already own. I talked myself into buying it now in case multiplayer collapses in 6 months or the only ones left playing are experts and it's uninviting to newbies. Basically, any excuse to buy it I could think of.

My Wii u is basically a dedicated Mario Kart and Smash machine.

have W101 un played and Pikmin 3, zombi u, NSMB+ LU, Nintendo land and wind waker dropped.

At least I beat 3d world, although didn't 100% it

Game now installing! Ultimately went with the eShop version. I have a vacation day tomorrow and want to play this right away. The way things are going it just makes more sense to get the digital version otherwise it would have been retail all the way. First game Wii U retail game this has turned out this way.

I've thought about that before. About how that sort of genre is missing. I mean, they've got the Mario Sports franchises, but those are different. I really wouldn't be against them bringing back the generic Baseball et al. games from the NES era. Obviously, modernize them up a bit, but make them a bit more true to the sport than the Mario Games, and use the Mario Sports label to do one thing, and the Nintendo Sports label to do another.

Do you get to name your character in this?

Because I just thought of literally the perfect name!

Need a Downhill Domination style game infused with Nintendoness.

Incredible game.

Multiplayer is awesome. I think ill be sticking with the roller. Need to start buying gear and figuring out what skills to go after.

The last match I played I was able to kill the whole team with my special! 3 at once, then caught the other guy. Oh man, the excitement!

Being sneaky with the roller is definitely the way to go and a ton of fun.

One hell of a game. Gameplay is perfect.

Taking a break but ill be on, streaming again in an hr.

No Bayo or Kirby? Not even Shovel? For shame.

I'd kill for another Nintendo football game. The Wii Eyeshield 21 game had some real promise it just had a few balance issues that held it back.

KartGAF about to have another reunion in here?

This could be extended to much more than just their multiplayer stuff but since this is the Splatoon thread, let me not clog it up with fan wishes.

Fortunately there is no voice chat. I'm already screaming "IT'S NOT A DEATHMATCH YOU MORONS FFS PAINT THAT GROUND!!!1!" at my screen
