I could see maybe $30 each and then a $70 bundle for all three. Save $20 buy buying all three together.

I would hate to see them cut corners and remove stuff. I'd also want to see the cutscenes presented as nicely as possible. I hope any compression they use does not negatively affect the image quality.

Why are people giving Sony bad ideas. It should be at most $60 like MCC. End of story.

The thing is Halos 1-4 were released originally on DVDs, which have a max capacity of about 8.5GB. If you multiply that by four, it's 35GB. A dual-layer Blu-Ray disc can hold 50GB. Despite the games being visually improved, I doubt they still took up much space due to their original sizes on those DVDs. The Uncharted Trilogy were released on Blu-Ray and apparently used a lot of the available space. I just don't see a case were they can fit it on one disk, unless, like others have said, they really compress the cutscenes, which would be a huge bummer to me.

I have a feeling Sony will spend too much time talking about VR and gamers will unexpectedly complain that too little time was spent on regular PS4 games. It is definitely a pitfall they need to avoid.

Were they not allowed this year? I've found it curious myself that there aren't any. They are always so much fun. Even though many of the rumors and speculation brought up in those threads typically bear no fruit, they always put a smile on my face.

I thought they locked hype train last year too. I remembered most of threads were locked as well.

All three threads (Sony, MS and Nintendo) got closed because of hype trains, they turn the discussions into "Put me on there" spamming.
I miss those threads and think now that we are smarter and wont make new trains, those threads should be opened again :(

Yeah I agree.

Anyone that posts in the thread goes in the train, no spam asking.

There problem solved.

I think there should be one.

Its taking the fun out of E3.

They'll spend a total of 5 real-time minutes on it and everyone else will claim it was 20-30 minutes long. Just like the Powers and indie portions of their past E3 conferences.

Could be up to 10 minutes since it's a big thing and it's launching soon. Anyways, there's plenty of other content to show and talk about. If VR doesn't appeal to a certain crowd, they can just mute the stream and come back in a few minutes.

As is my ritual every year since the unveiling of the XBone, I predict Microsoft will announce 360 Backward Compatibility, and I will thus finally be compelled to buy the bloody thing.

I wonder (with all their talk of cloud computing) if they would attempt a foray into their own version of PSNow. By all accounts it seems to work well enough for Sony. I could see Microsoft wanting a piece of that streaming pie.

Verurndus hinted at 3 first-party announcements, that's pretty good to me. At least it's more than previous years, I think.
This made me realize that at last year's E3, Sony revealed a single thing that was being made solely by a first party developer; Infamous First Light. Ugh, show me what your devs are working on or go home.

.. or just show me TLG and I can die happy.

Blu-Ray Disc don't cost that much in this day and age. Peanuts for a large batch. As for the case, yeah well, I can see them trying sleeve packaging.

2 actually.

Pixel Opus and Entwined.

What? 3 first party reveals sounds great as I think it's more than likely they will come out within a year. I'm sure we'll get some 3rd party surprises.

They are a banned site here (as evidenced by the URL). If this is coming to consoles, I wonder if Firaxis is developing it and if XCOM: Enemy Unknown/Enemy Within will come to PS4/XB1 as well.

Yeah, I always forget Dualshockers is banned over here

Looks like it will be revealed on monday

As if that's gonna be it.

Its typically a 2 hour conference.

I've said this before, but there's not a ton of time with all things factored and how heavily sony is focused on co marketing- blops, battlefront, ac, batman, Destiny, etc. then morpheus, uc4, uc collection, nms, Indies, psplus talk, etc.

Is it hard to believe they could idk, maybe put two discs in the collection. UC & UC2 on one disk and UC3 with 3D on the other?

GoW: Collection had 2 discs
Killzone Trilogy had 2 discs

What's wrong with having a 2 disc pack?

Which brings me back to my original question. One case holding all three games on 3 disks or each individual game getting their own case? I think its pretty clear each game will still need to have their own disc regardless. The question is which route will Sony take in selling the game? All together or separate. Same goes for digital as well, I guess.

A first party announcement could range anywhere from a small downloadable game to a big AAA title. I would be disappointed with 3 of those.

Ohh there are cases out there for sure..... but I get your point. We know these companies will cheap out the minute the logistics become a bit complicated, even if we term that as a +5% complication.

only 3 first party announcements? knock that down to 2 for uc collection... Thats awful if true.

no he said there will be atleast 3 First Party Announcments that will make people talk - So 3 big first party announcements (horizon, Gran Turismo....on that scale)
iirc he considered LPB 3 and Ratchet&Clank as smaller first party announcements last year
so there can be more first party announcements + third party exclusive (level 5)

Well, remember that God of War 1&2 were originally PS2 games remastered for PS3, so like the MCC, they probably did not take up that much space. The second disk in the collection was GOWIII. For Killzone, KZ2 and KZ3 were the two disks. If I'm not wrong, KZ1 HD was a PSN voucher. I'm, still thinking 3 disks are needed for Uncharted. They were all originally Blu-Ray disk releases unlike some of the games in the aforementioned collections.

Wait Killzone HD wasn't a voucher it was combo with Killzone 2 iirc.

Oh, okay. Must've been thinking of the MGS collection where MGS1 is a voucher. What were KZ HD's hardrive space requirements? There must have been enough room left on the disc. But then again, like GOW 1&2, it was a remaster of a PS2 game. Maybe it didn't take up too much space.

First Party Announcements

Guerilla Games new IP
Media Molecule new IP
The Last Guardian re-reveal

I'm quite intruiged by MMs new IP. The " next-gen of Share Create Play " (?) stuff has me pondering what it could be. Like a next-gen Minecraft clone with VR support and MMs signature style maybe? Fully online. A world that can be molded by the players perhaps.

Just hoping Sony has a good show, MS seems focused. While they have done a wonderful job with PS4 and pushing it. They have been Shaqtin' A Fool for a little while lately.

*The Order 1886
*Game Delays
*Lost April NPD - Gotta keep the momentum.
*SFIV Port

In know these are not all directly Sony's fault. Indirectly Sony could have ensured some of these did not happen, just a couple little things that I think they can fix. I have tickets to the E3 experience and hopefully looking forward to them kicking it back into gear.

MS gets ME4, Need for Speed and BF5.

I think Sony has a marketing deal with Need For Speed.

Trailer appeared first on PS channel. Also from PS Blog :

Need for Speed returns this fall back on PlayStation 4
The duration of Renner EA sits in the Star holes
Ben Walke, Content and Community Manager at Ghost Games:

Everyone is so focused on new announcements and "megatons", but what about the already announced games? The one's have little to no info/footage out right now. If you add those up I think it's going to be incredibly hard to be disappointed by E3. Excluding the standard multiplats:

MS: Halo 5, Scalebound, Crackdown, Phantom Dust, Tomb Raider, Forza 6, etc

Sony: Uncharted 4, The Tomorrow Children, Gravity Rush 2, WiLD, Rachet & Clank, Rime, Persona 5, Star Ocean 5, etc

-Rare is confirmed to have something at E3.
-Level-5 is confirmed to be debuting their PS4 game at E3.

Any other surprises is overkill to me if most of the games above make an appearance with gameplay footage. Add in the 3rd party multiplats and it's even crazier.

$60 in one package or they are crazy.

too many people here are talking about dissapointment & not expecting too much from sony

- unlike last year (with that small trailer), this time we will definitely see Uncharted 4 Gameplay on stage
- Acc. to Verendus three major First Party Games will be announced --- one of them will probably be horizon, an open world rpg by guerilla games
- level 5 will announce their new project (Ni No Kuni 2, New Ip, Old Ip)
- we will probaby get to see for the first Time, Ratchet & Clank Ps4 material (Trailer/Gameplay or both)
- new Street Fighter character(s) announced

It already sounds so much better than last year.
