Hey, play nice. That's like Holy Water on a vampire for 2thepoint. Wouldn't want him to dissolve before the E3 holiday!

Anyway, if Sony partnered with damn near everyone what are MS going to fill their show with? Surely they're not going to show a bunch of games that Sony has marketing deals for, right?

Phil did say that they were going to focus more on first party this year, maybe it wasn't a choice. If third party is flocking to support Sony, which would make a lot of sense given the global unit difference, then Microsoft has to rely on in house content. Sounds like it could be a dumpy situation for them.

Microsoft has its Q1-Q2 2016 gameplay reveals (Crackdown, Scalebound, whatever Rare's doing), plus I'm sure it'll put us all to sleep with more interminably long Hololens demonstrations and media partnerships with sports and cable and the like.

God. This is either going to be super awesome or super bad. I don't see a middle ground there. Makes it very exciting though!

I'm actually really curious to see how Hololens would work with the XBO. I just can't think of anything since the device works as a standalone product.

Finally MS will have some games hopefully throughout the year .

How do we know this?

First of all it makes the most sense. Second Tamaki from Unseen64 said its 100% happening. And a week ago he leaked Skylanders Overcharger that was listed on Amazon today. So he has real sources

Not confirmed by Sony, but everything points to it

I've known about it since November, not that it wasn't obviously happening anyway.

Because it's the only exclusive that Sony can really milk out for the holiday and it seems highly likely. I hope to god it happens.
True. I just thought we got a hint or something. I'd definitely buy it day 1. Hopefully it includes uncharted 2 mp.

Thanks for the info :D yup, this will be a great e3 for me. I don't need anything else now.

what else do you know...

Hopefully it would include Uncharted 4 Beta but I don't know 'cause TLOU didn't have an MP beta, it had a short demo that came with God of War: Ascension IIRC. So I wonder if the UC Collection comes with the PSX demo we saw.

I'd prefer mp beta over sp demo.
And I don't know, but I think that if they do release the trilogy it'll definitely contain an mp beta code. I can see the trilogy hitting stores in September.

Guys, this is the shorter-shorter version of thr list I've made for Sony E3 press comference. What games do you think it would be?

To see the full list, follow the quote.

Bamco "Role-Playing (PS3 only)" could be Tales Of Zestiria (plus maybe PC and/or PS4 port which has been rumored for a while)

Maybe I've written in this thread before, not sure. Anyway, some Nintendo-predictions (I do care very much about all the press conferences/events, but Nintendo's always the most fun to try and predict, mostly because you're often 100% wrong about everything):

  • Zelda "not being shown" is indeed only true to an extent. What this means is they will not bring the game to LA, there will be no reps discussing the game whatsoever (nor will NoA), but there will be a short segment in the Digital Event where Link faces off against a powerful enemy/boss, showing off some fighting mechanics and unique features.
  • Neither a new Animal Crossing or a new Paper Mario-game will be shown.
  • Star Fox is a budget title in the vein of Captain Toad and Kirby And The Rainbow Curse. Releases in November.
  • Next Level Games have been working on a 2D/3D-hybrid of Metroid for 3DS. Releases this fall.
  • Amiibo cards of all Smash Bros. Amiibo will be made available from this September alongside a paid DLC pack containing stages and characters, as well as a free update that (in some way) extends the functionality of Amiibo-figures in Smash Bros.
  • Xenoblade Chronicles X is an October game.
  • Nintendo will announce their new membership service, coming this fall to Wii U and 3DS. They do not elaborate too much on it, but it does encompass some sort of a reward system that connects to your game (i.e. an achievement system) and rewards you with points for doing things in the game, which can be used to claim digital rewards. Miiverse and the eShop are integrated parts of the new membership service; meaning they are now only parts of a greater Nintendo ecosystem.

I fear that Sonys conference will be a third Party show :/ AC, Battlefront, CoD? Gameplay, more Destiny, Batman Launch trailer, exclusive thing for Mad Max, Dead Island 2 might show up again.. No doubt that there will be First party games, but i really dont want them to spend too much time on exclusive content for Games that get Sony marketing.

The one remaster I have been asking for. Day One.

The only thing that I'm curious about is how they are going to present it. If I recall, the games (especially 2 and 3) took up a lot of disc space. Blu-Ray disks on PS4 can only hold up to 50GB (same with PS3/XB1). So I wonder if it'll be one case with 3 discs or each game will get its own case (and then held in one box). I honestly am hoping for the latter.

I bet they'll sell em seperately for 40 bucks or the pack for 99

Expect them to ditch the 3D cutscenes in UC3 and do some crazy compression on the regular cutscenes. Some people have suggested that all the cutscenes will be converted to realtime but I don't see it happening.

I could see maybe $30 each and then a $70 bundle for all three. Save $20 buy buying all three together.

I would hate to see them cut corners and remove stuff. I'd also want to see the cutscenes presented as nicely as possible. I hope any compression they use does not negatively affect the image quality.

I though Blu-ray disks could have up to four layers (100 gigs)?

This is the 3rd E3 for PS4. I'll be honest none of them have been as great. Sony really need to deliver. Save for BloodBorne and Street Fighter V announcements nothing has really impressed me from Sony. This year PS4 is going to be lacking on content, we will have Uncharted Trilogy announcement and 3rd party partnerships. I hope Sony don't focus much on 2015 at E3 and get that stuff out the way quickly.

How likely are the chances for gameplay debut for the following this E3. Surely atleast one of these is happening.

1. GG next proj
2. Sony Bend next proj
3. MM Next proj
4. SSM GOW proj

Combine the above with new gameplay for UC4 I will be darn happy.

Verurndus hinted at 3 first-party announcements, that's pretty good to me. At least it's more than previous years, I think.

They can, but I don't think current Blu-Ray drives can play/read them. I'm pretty sure PS3 couldn't. Maybe PS4/XB1 can, since those consoles came out after Blu-Ray discs over 50GB were made available.

Edit- Looking it up, apparently PS4 can only read up to dual-layer Blu-Ray discs, which can only go up to 50GB. Right now, there are tri-layer discs (about 100GB) and quad-layer discs (about 130GB), but PS4 is not (currently) capable of reading them. I don't know if this is something a firmware patch can fix. This might require an actual hardware change. I kind of wish when they went from PS3 to PS4 they would have added it it. Then again, maybe they did consider it and it would have driven up the costs too much. Plus, there would be so much data for the system to read, it might not have been worth it. Sony actually also developed/is developing a new version of Blu-Ray called Archival Disk, which can store from 300GB all the way up to 1TB.

The lack of hype threads for PlayStation and Xbox are really deflating excitement for E3.

They're so much fun and like a tradition here.

Don't understand why a hype train stops them completely.

Were they not allowed this year? I've found it curious myself that there aren't any. They are always so much fun. Even though many of the rumors and speculation brought up in those threads typically bear no fruit, they always put a smile on my face.

All three threads (Sony, MS and Nintendo) got closed because of hype trains, they turn the discussions into "Put me on there" spamming.
I miss those threads and think now that we are smarter and wont make new trains, those threads should be opened again :(
