For me:

.Uncharted Trilogy
.Gran Turismo 7
.Sony Bend game
.Guerilla Games game
.Bloodborne DLC
.A big surprise

To be honest that seems pretty tame. I'm iffy on Gran Turismo 7. Def. possible. Bit early for major Bloodborne DLC to be shown I think. I think the new GG IP will happen. Uncharted trilogy is no doubt happening. A big surprise. Like what? TLG being shown again?

Exclusives, lots of exclusives, reasons to own a PS4 over other systems.

System already has a ton of exclusives out and announced. How many do you need really?

So what sort of studios/games do you think Microsoft and Sony have marketing or advertising deals with? We know Sony has a deal with EA on Battlefront, and Batman, it seems everything else is up in the air.

Any guesses or thoughts? Any shockers or trump cards?

I hope Sony gets either Mass Effect or Fallout. Microsoft seems to have a monopoly on western RPG's.

Yup, it'd have to be on the level of a re-reveal of The Last Guardian.

Huh I missed that, when did he say this?

he said we should expet three notable SCE announcements at E3 that will make people talk

There's three notable announcements currently that will get a lot of you talking, since they're about titles no one knows about officially yet. By virtue of those three alone, I don't really think of it as holding back. If someone goes in expecting a dozen big announcements, then you're naturally going to be disappointed, but throughout this year in general, the doors are coming off for a lot of titles. There seems to be a lot of focus on "megatons" and people's definition seems to differ depending on what they like ultimately. You can't account for that, since people like different things.

You got Bloodborne, Ratchet and Clank, LittleBigPlanet 3, and your first official look at Uncharted 4 last year. That's pretty good when you think about it for retail titles. If the content was delivered in a better fashion, it'd probably leave a stronger impression. It would also help if more was shown in some cases, but that's kind of the luck of the draw. You have to think about showing more over time.

Having said that, E3 is never boring on GAF. I've enjoyed both of the past two, and that's because of the craziness here. There really isn't anything to look forward to for me now.

Basically, stop being so negative. Why are you so negative? Oh my god.

The surprise has to be on the level of an Agent/The Last Guardian though. That would make the conference for me.

What else do you think we'll see?
I agree with the surprise. Sony has been lacking a good one. I don't know what we'll see when it comes to 1st party. All I hope we see is MM's new game. Couple that with a UC Collection announcement and I'll be pretty happy.

Not so sure we're gonna see Bend's game and Horizon, though it would be cool.

I'd love to see Bloodborne DLC but it might be too early.
Yeah, his list isn't far fetched. No TLG, agent, crash, or some other over the top crazy shit. We know that guerrilla and Bend have been working on something for a while and E3 would be the ideal place to showcase.

Lol thats not the same thing. Are we even sure he's talking about games? Could be: price reduction, morpeus related, 3rd party stuff..

Better`?

Three notable SCE announcements. By which I mean, titles that are going to create some good noise generally. There's more than three announcements planned by SCE (there was five year last year for example). But I imagine those three are going to be your bread and butter on the first party front when it comes to dominating discussion after the conference. Then there are your third party titles aside from that.

The point is, if you're not satisfied this year, then there really isn't much to it in the future if I'm honest. This is about as good as it gets for the most part.

Edit:

Deja vu. I swear I've said this same thing a couple months ago.

What else? Knacklol? Infamous was very pretty but gameplay wise shallow as a puddle. Killzone pretty much the same. The Order.. well, pretty much the same.
Ps4 exclusive wise has been very poor so far.

Wow you were serious, that's hilarious.

If you really think the games on the Ps4 have been very poor then good lord I'm so happy I'm not you lol.

It's hilarious that me and many others aren't satisfied and find the output poor so far? You're pretty weird.
Infamous, The Order and Killzone are widely known for being pretty games but shallow gameplay wise.

Were you in the same Infamous OT? Because tons of people had a damn good time with it especially since it is a damn fine game. Still the best traversal in a game yet. Killzone still has some of the best competitive multiplayer you can have in a shooter.

And it's funny you conveniently leave out DriveClub, LBP3, Helldivers, Axiom Verge, RESOGUN, Velocity 2x, and a host of other exclusives. You seem to be regurgitating the same nonsense you hear from people who likely haven't played more then an hour of said games on your list.

I've played them all and ain't exactly easy to please. So yeah. I'm just happy I'm not you. Ignoring so many great games and not enjoying others that offer so much to enjoy.

To each their own I guess. There are other threads for this nonsense.

Ehm no, Infamous' gameplay is not known for that at all. The only problem was the length / small content, so it got reptitive after some time and the platin trophy was too easy and fast to get. The gameplay itself was great though, can't name many super hero games that play that good.

Isn't Driveclub pretty well received after all the updates? That and smaller titles, like Resogun.

While the traversal was good the powers didn't really have a lot to offer in terms of what you did with them, like 2 or 3 different moves was the limit. The missions and things you did around the map were very repetitive too.

I had my fun with Second Son but I certainly didn't see it as a must play or huge exclusive, and that's what my point is, the PS4 really doesn't have that game yet... besides Bloodborne but that series is still pretty intimating for the general console owner.

Yes it may be, it kinda fell off my radar though after the disastrous launch. I forgot about Resogun though, I had a lot of fun with that.

Isn't that a concern for the suits behind the console? Why does a consumer care about this? Just enjoy great games.

I've known about it since November, not that it wasn't obviously happening anyway.

Will include Uncharted2 and 3 multiplayer? I love Uncharted 2 multiplayer so much!

Also,
I saw a comment from you in this thread saying" I hope you like Knack" when someone mentioned something about Japenese games. Is Knack 2 or a Knack prequel coming out? I really need it :(

If we are weird, what the hell ARE YOU THEN?

I'm sort of looking at this from both sides, as a consumer I definitely want better games and I think Sony's first party are more than capable of it, the launch window games were probably just a bit rushed and half baked. Also from a suits perspective they need to stay ahead in north america and the UK, two of the biggest markets, and right now the Xbox One is offering more. Competition gets the best out of companies and I hope Sony rises to the challenge this E3 and shows us why PS4 should be number 1 still.

Someone who enjoys gameplay over graphics? :p
I dunno man, I'm happy that people are satisfied with what Sony's put out so far but I'm not sure how personally. More power to you, guess I'm just not as easily pleased!

Don't know and don't care about a new Knack game. I doubt it tbh.

The fact that you want such a thing makes you a bad person though.

I agree with you for the most part. I feel like this is why Sony is anchoring down 3rd party marketing. A huge part of what made the 360 successful was the partnerships and marketing deals it had in place with 3rd party publishers. Maybe Sony got that message that the games were coming out so-so during launch and decided to polish what they had in development thus we get delays.

It becomes more and more apparent to me over time how much Sony was banking on Stig's new sci-fi IP. I would love to know why it actually got cancelled. I heard at one point that it was too similar in aesthetic to Destiny which, if true, is hilarious to me. Sucks that all of the fine people at SSM were laid off, though.

I really hope we get to see what they were working on some day.

i can't imagine they cancelled an ip that was in development since 2010 from on of their most respected studios over something hilarious like this. Especially because Sony is normally very tolerate & open to its studios

i think there were some serious problems with this projects & any further work would mean to throw away more money.
IP cancelled, layofss (because they didn't deliver after 4 years)

To be fair, OTs can become an echo chamber at some point. If you're not enjoying a game, there's not much merit in going there to voice complaints. Unless the game is an outright trainwreck, that's going to be the hub of positive opinion.

From my perspective, Infamous was underwhelming entirely for failing to really do a lot of new things with the open world game design. Looks splendid, controls great, but largely forgettable on other fronts. Was it an outright failure? Of course not. But maybe not up to the standard of the previous two entries.

It's fitting that it and Titanfall came out around the same time. Both flawed games that still showed off their new platforms well.

Ok after digging for info, I found how much each Uncharted game weighs in terms of data that needs to be in it in other to play the game.

Uncharted 1 GOTY - 20.3GB UC1
Uncharted 2 GOTY - 20.8 GB UC2
Uncharted 3 GOTY - 43.5 GB UC3

Easily you could fit the first 2 games in a 50GB blu-ray and have 9GB to spare for 1080p treatment and the UC3 could go on 2nd disc with 7GB to spare for 1080p treatment.

Hey guys, do you remember the french journalist who said just before PS Experience that a HUGE PS4 exclusive was going to break the Internet ? Well he did an interview today with a YouTuber, and he basically said that this announcement was either at PSX, either after (so E3). I know it's easy to say "Yeah, something huge is gonna happen here", nothing happen and then say "yeah it's next time", but you know...

PS4 can read this ?

Wait a moment guys, Uncharted is big because the cutscenes are pre-recorded, isn't? They could just put the real time version of the cutscenes in the collection. They did this with TLoU, didn't they?

Infamous is not known for that but thanks for completely making shit up.

Well I didn't make it up as I felt that way, I read a lot of reviews that said the gameplay could have offered more, I remember lots of people saying it was a step down from Infamous 2. As I said it was fun but it could have and should have been a lot more. But at the end of the day it comes down to my personal opinion, I'm not making shit up to push my narrative or whatever nonsense people want to throw my way.

There are a number of major exclusives planned to be announced for PS4 but I can't think of any that were pushed back from PSX to E3.

Not that I'm saying there won't be any at E3 (there will) but the part about it being pushed back to E3 is what I'm questioning. Sony does tend to do that but I can't recall what they pushed back from PSX.

Omelette du fromage.
(Interesting news, would be intersting if that happened)

But aint a chunk of both UC2 and UC3 the multiplayer mode?
Also we are not even considering one of these games coming with a digital code
(Or are we, I didnt see you guys talkin about that)

Oh boy, this is December all over again.

...Do I smell cinnamon?
Lol that was a fun thread. Time to start giving avatars Crash ears.

Now this would be the killer game to win the holiday :p

edit - perfect way to start a new page lol
Yeah, if Crash were to be announced I'd lose my shit. One of my favorite games of all time.

I doubt it'll ever come so it won't affect how I perceive this year's e3.

How about Morpheus blows us away with that same feeling the Wii gave us? That would write headlines everywhere.
Damn, totally forgot about Morpheus. That will be fun to watch.

What are some of the games y'all would like to see but don't expect to ever come to your system? I would love Marvel Heroes or an Ultimate Alliance 3 to be announced for consoles. Same goes with Crash.
