Koji Igarashi Kickstarts Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night (2.5D, backdash, 2018)

Someone in the comments said that the icon for the new mystery stretch goal looks a bit like the top of a treble clef.

Orchestral soundtrack, anyone?

yo 3750000 looks like a treble clef

i'd guess that means orchestral soundtrack but maaaan that seems so far off

Yeah, that's the one I want the most. I really hope we miraculously make that. Usually kickstarters get another big push the last 48 hours or so, so there's still hope.

Will it be possible to buy a physical copy of this game from a store after its realese without having pledged 60 bucks?

Yes, they confirmed as such awhile ago in their FAQ section. The retail release, however, will not include the Kickstarter exclusives mentioned in the $60 tier.

Just remember that it will see a retail release for the console versions at the very least if you're solely after physical copies instead of multiple Kickstarter exclusive bonuses.

Yeah, this bit of news somehow slipped past me. Glad to see it will get a standard retail release.

It's running neck and neck with Torment: Tides of Numenara in launch-aligned funding at this point, so I think it's significantly more likely than not.

If the $3.75 million stretch goal is an orchestrated soundtrack, I don't know what else they could offer as an incentive to make that even more possible. That goal is virtually the final frontier.

I only came in here since Wii U part of the title is new to me. wanted to see what happened there

jesus, so this is where that chick is from. so many avatars of her

Vita port? Seriously? For a 2017 game? Who thinks this shit up? What a waste of resources.

And there's no orchestrated soundtrack coming, is there? Nope, we get all kinds of crap instead something that would be truly great.

EDIT: And Alucard's trotting animation was.... FABULOUS.

Indubitably my favorite running animation ever, I love the little running start too. Alucard moving along at the perfect speed also helps a lot. Shaona has a detailed animation but she moves slow as molasses, it just looks fucked.

I see no way it doesn't hit 3.5 given the usual burst kick starters get at the end. I guess now that you've got an external studio involved it doesn't matter much.

From the wording when they announced the WiiU port and now the Vita port this is what I gathered:

WiiU won't run on UE4 but Vita inexplicably will.

What do you think?

I'm definitely going to up my pledge to $125, now, just so I can get either the Vita or Wii U digital copy to go with my PS4 physical. Really want the signed box at $300, but I don't think I can justify that to the wife.

So much whining. And the 3.75M is probably orchestral score.

Wait, WiiU version was reached? Right now I see the kickstarter page at 36,944 backers for a total of $2,975,738.

I'd definitely jump on board ff they added a WiiU digital version for the $28 tier.

They're including PayPal in the 3 million reached currently.

I think you're misinterpreting. UE4 isn't supported by Epic on either platform, but you probably can take a hacksaw to it and chop it down to something that'll compile on either one. I am 99.9% confident Armature will build one port codebase that targets both systems and then just bolt any platform-specific extras on top.

They do have more experience with UE on Vita than they do on the Wii U, so that's no doubt a factor in their comments. That being said, I don't know how much UE3 knowledge can help out with UE4, particularly on hardware that isn't designed for it.

Wii U stretch goal reached. Nice that the Vita is getting a stretch goal as well.

I think I'm going to go with a physical copy on Wii U and a digital copy on PC.

Two wantful gamer look at sky. One say "Comrade, look at cloud. Cloud is look like Wii U." Another say "and look there, brother, cloud is look like PS Vita."

Yet, is same cloud.
