I can't wait for Bethesda to show us more details at their E3 conference. I'm specifically interested if there will be playable pre-war sequences and if the PC will be voiced. Voiced PCs are going to screw with companion mods though...

It strikes me as weird nobody gave Valve shit for the same thing they do Bethesda; they used Source for (over) 2 generations, and Left 4 Dead, whilst one of my favourite games of last gen, was graphically unremarkable.

Also, New Vegas came out in 2010/five years ago. There was this game called Bioshock Infinite that released on the last gen consoles that shits all over this game artistically.
This game is graphically and artistically starved imo.

I think it looks good enough. After, people (myself included) are enjoying Witcher 3, and its graphics aren't as good as DriveClub & The Order.

The same type of PC, I assume, that could run Witcher 3. Beautiful open world games do exist.
Both Witcher 2 and Skyrim came out in 2011, and since then, technological advances have been made. Witcher shows this (also coming from a smaller studio), yet Bethesda can barely do so due to their need to reuse older engines.

I've already made peace with the notion of Bethesda having some of the worst looking human NPC models in the biz. They are invisible to me at this point. Other than that, the art direction seems excellent.

I really need to see a close-up of that Vault-Tec poster in the background, Looks amazing.I think my main issue with the graphics is the low resolution textures.
But luckily that is one the things the modding community does best to fix.
I don't thing this looks like state of the art graphics but it is not too shabby.

Yeah, I don't get how people can say it looks last gen or even say it's ugly. Since when did last gen games become ugly if they look like this? Fallout 3 was no looker either even by 2008 standards but I don't remember many complaining about how that looked. It was enjoyed by many because the gameplay was good and they wanted to explore.
Sure, this reveal trailer may not be pushing any graphical boundaries (though how could we even know how the whole, finished game looks yet) but that shouldn't matter. It looks good to me and the small bit we saw there makes me want to explore it already and take in the sights and characters in what looks to be a really cool atmosphere, which is what games like this should be about. It does not look last gen or ugly but that is just my opinion. To write this game off already because of how it looks just seems silly to me. At least wait to see a live demo or actual gameplay.

I am looking forward to this game and will probably play this game no matter how not-obsidian bethesda is.

They kind of have to now with them revealing the trailer pre-E3. Not showing more of the game would just be a huge disappointment.
Yeah one is car racing and other is 6 hour linear corridor shooting.
As for the graphics, people complaining here are excited just like you, but that doesn't mean they won't criticize what doesn't look good.
