Wait, I thought Turf was THE mode to use it in, because it's quick and spreads substantially. Ranked requires more close combat. And because the territories tend to be in very closed off areas, combat is inevitable.

Brush is awful. I tried ninja skills, etc. i even had a net positive kill ratio. It's just plain awful for turf wars. Like someone said earlier, my team probably felt like they had one less player, and I don't blame them.

Been getting top scores with it, even matches where I would say I carried my team, so maybe you're jumping to the wrong conclusions.

Jesus I've got rage issues. The worst shit can happen to me and it just rolls off my back, but something minor and frustrating and I find myself wanting to break shit.

When losing is getting to you then it's time to put down the controller and cool off. Playing while frustrated is only gonna make you sloppy which will lead to losses and make you even more frustrated.

I think a paint brush with a disruptor bomb sub could be awesome.

Agreed. Paintbrush is fast enough that you could circle around an enemy, throw a disruptor at their feet, then overwhelm with attacks before they can do anything about it.

I'm starting to dig the brush in ranked. The trick is to be stealthy and place sprinklers in good areas at all times to build up the ink strike as quickly as possible, then use that to take the splat zones.

You only use the dash move to get from place to place. Painting with it is far too ineffective, as it builds up your special far too slowly, and consumes ink quickly. The swipe move is OK for painting small areas though, and can be used when your sprinkler is out.

You should only be attacking enemies directly in self-defence or if you manage to catch them off-guard from behind.

You won't get many kills, but it works as support.

I'd like to play with some Gaffers. I competitively played Counter Strike since the 1.3 days, was around 1100 in the world at the peak of Gears of War 1 and I'm finding this game very deep and complex which I hadn't expected from Nintendo.

Always be ready to utilise the moving platforms that take you up to the big square at the top, or take the small oblong at the bottom.

There are also several great sniper points.
