I think there is someone very important missing in that family picture

Nice!

Uncharted 4 will definitely not be an open world game and this is a good thing in my book. We've seen too many open world games at the start of this gen and I'm more than happy to have more linear but still with open levels games. To me, the size of the levels in Uncharted 4 seem akin to those in MGS4. A sandbox which offers the players various ways to eliminate the enemies and multiple paths to take. So far I'm really loving this idea. Could really add to the replayability.

Like my boy Pharrel said, "We gon' be alright
Do you hear me, do you feel me? We gon' be alright." No need to worry as I believe that Chloe is gonna look dank as fuuu.

We know it'll be a looker, it's the gameplay that people question. If they've an RPG, it needs to be a full on RPG. If it's a shooter with some RPG elements it won't resonate as well.

Didn't they poach some RPG talents over the past few years. I know they got a writer. I feel like it could be great. Keep an open mind guys and gals. I believe it'll be more of an RPG with nice fps combat

Shinobi said the game would be in third person and the concept art shows multiple weapons. It sounds more like a full on RPG, especially with the Fallout New Vegas writer on board.

I'm sure they cancelled a game they spent millions on because it was like another game.

So, another vetted insider claimed that an FFVII spin off is coming, which doesn't quite match up with your suggestion that an FFVII remake is coming. One of you is wrong...unless we're getting both, which seems like a preposterous but very fun dream. Any thoughts on this? I'm still not sure if your insider status is anything but putative, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

That would be ironic considering Stig's game was cancelled in part because it was too much like Destiny.
The game looks very different from Destiny. I know you were joking, jusy saying.

Didn't know it. Sounds unlikable if was spent a lot of resources. But if true, it would be such a laughable matter hahahahaha

If they were about to spent millions more on it, yeah. Not exactly unbelievable.

If Stig was working on a loot shooter with guys in space that wear capes - then I believe Sony would get worried about Destiny. Apparently the project never recovered after they were told to make it different.

New IPs in unfamiliar territories/genre don't necessarily pan out.

Even the most talented devs go through development hell. Or bite off more than they could chew.

You do know that there can be both the remake and the spinoff right? The same insider that said there'll be a spinoff also said there's a remake coming.

He taked out the remake, didn't he? I'm confuse now.
Now it's just the spinoff.

And is Kyofu an insider? Thought he was just one of us.

He removed the games that he's already discussed or have been announced from his most recent list. So that would explain why he only mentioned the spinoff and not remake

I must have missed that. Thanks.

No worries. There's a lot of info flying around. It's easy to miss stuff.

I'm not down on it by any stretch of the imagination, I just feel Guerilla's games always fall short in one area or another. I'm a big fan of the studio so hopefully on bit of hardware that doesn't require as many tricks they'll shine.

I've changed as a gamer over recent years and prefer games I can dip into/out. I'm more of an RPG gamer now than I ever was. I only really have 2 hours at a time to play games these days and only binge when I'm off work. If Guerilla can tie up two of my favourite genres into something wonderful it could be my personal game of the generation.

Writing should be good given the talent they've hired. For me it'll come down to the quality of NPC, the quests and the variety of locales. Destiny fell short for me because the world felt dead. Borderlands fell short because of the locales.

People, my japonese is not that great so, what did Shu said about Igarashi?
Maybe something related to that his game has reached the Kickstarter goal to be released on Vita.

Well, the FFVII spinoff was announced in Japan
but for smartphones
, and the remake can be possible
if it's that announced PS4 port of the crappy FFVII PC version

Deus Ex gameplay will debut at SE's conference.
I assumed that, but nice to see that it isn't going to be just another CG trailer.

Has it been discussed before, there's a Heavy Rain/Beyond Two Souls PS4 collection coming...
Is there any decent source/insider to back this?

Kofu is actually the insiders' insider, you should write him a PM or two; at least this is how I got the info that there is a Theatrhythm Ehrgeiz coming

Are you asking me if I know something that I myself made reference to in my post? The answer is yes, I do know that. The prospect struck me as farfetched is all.

The same insider that said there'll be a spinoff also said there's a remake coming.

I must have missed that. Thanks.

So, that's what he was referring to? A mobile game? I thought it was a spinoff for consoles.

While the game may have been similar to Destiny I think it was cancelled because the game just wasn't shaping up.

The guy who is the 'Script Doctor' for Santa Monica said he was disappointed it was cancelled, but in hindsight agrees with the decision wholeheartedly. Sounds like Destiny was going to eat its lunch.

(Assuming that game is the one he is referring to, of course)

It's just part of the information that surfaced at that time. It indeed sounded unbelievable to me, yet stranger things have happened.

While the game may have been similar to Destiny I think it was cancelled because the game just wasn't shaping up.

I'm sure many factors play a role when cancelling a project that had considerable resources behind it. Hence why I said the words ''part of''.

But actual media is leaking this time around. Gears footage leaked and now the Japanese Xbox site leaked the first screens of Forza.

This is why I'm hoping MS has some surprises in the games department. I don't want this to be a repeat of last year where we pretty much know everything they will show.

These are the (mostly premium and/or funded by Sony) my personal top 10 indies that may did a great work in E3:
Rime
No Man's Sky
Mighty No.9
Formula Fusion
Below
Hellblade
Nuclear Throne
Hyper Light Drifter
The Witness
W!ld

Outside of the rare and twisted pixels release how much more are people expecting

They have to push tomb raider hard. And halo and forza will get their time. If phantom dust cuphead quantum break, gears hd, and scalebound are all releasing in 2015 -2016 we need to see some substantial footage of each. Not to mention their 3rd party deals.

3-4 suprises at most from either Microsoft or Sony.

What was it... 2012 when their entire conference leaked on their own site before the show?

They were the one that posted the post show press release before their conference started?

How many leaks have we had now?

Gears of War: Ultimate
1TB Xbox One with new controller
Forza 6 details

Anything else?

Grip Games (the developer behind Q.U.B.E.) confirmed that their next project will be at their conference. But they've since deleted that tweet.

Yu Suzuki favourited a tweet about the #SaveShenmue campaign
https://twitter.com/ShenmueFans/status/606559047060353025

It doesnt mean anything but feel free to go nuts anyway, it's probably as close as we're gonna get

His Twitter account was dead for two years before he jolted it back to life with a tweet about a week ago or so. I don't want to read too much into Suzuki-san's recent online activity, buuuuuuuuut it probably means that Shenmue III is going to be unveiled at E3.
