We have already seen an on-stage demo of UC4 at PSX. Sure they could show a set piece demo at E3, but given how far away the game is still, Sony can better use the time at E3. More useful would be to show UC:NDC gameplay, as that is only a few months away from release.

Eh for the most part we know how the Nathan Drake collection will play. Show off a set piece. The game comes out in the spring. It'll get people hype

NDC at most will get a trailer. Sony isn't going to waste time showcasing some gameplay from games several years ago.

I'm guessing that's how older Elena is going to look in U4 as well.

Unlike UC4, UC:NDC will make Sony money this year. A good comparison of what improvements are in UC:NDC vs. the original PS3 versions is important to help customers decide whether to spend the $60 on it vs. other games that will be available this holiday.

Going to get some beers and pizza. Ill be watching all the conferences since I have a weekend job now.
Hoping for:
God of War 4
Resistance Reboot or Fall of Man remake

I'm going by precedent, and that means a trailer and nothing more just like last year for TLOU remastered.

Besides, we already know they're in crunch mode for E3.

Yeah, UC4 set-piece demo & NDC trailer (ala last year's TLoUR trailer) is my guess.

Then maybe in PGW we'll get a first-look/trailer/demo of UC4 MP Beta.

Jason Gregory(lead programmer) from Naughty Dog or said that going to 30fps feels "broken" after experiencing 60fps. I also remembered Drew Thaler from Naught Dog on Twitter saying "The 30fps option exists in TLOU:R because it was easy, and some people asked for it. Some people eat bugs too. Trust me, you won't want it".

I just don't see Naughty Dog going back to 30fps, unless they're willing to face huge backlash and PR problems. I thought it was somewhat offensive to developers who target 30fps on consoles.

Neat. Is that supposed to be one of the characters from Jak & Daxter? You know, someone from Naughty Dog was talking about how their visuals are leaning toward something like realism as of late, and how that doesn't correspond with some of their earlier IPs, whose aesthetic designs were more cartoonish and outlandish (i.e., Crash).

However, looking at that image, I am now realizing that it would be so awesome to get a platformer that retains some eccentric and cartoonish sensibilities but sutures all of that to a more credible visual world -- something closer to The Last of Us or Uncharted.

This has never been done before, right? It's always like: 'OK, we have a game about a bandicoot that runs and jumps, and it's all a little wacky, so let's go nuts on the color palette, and let's lean into the cartoonish stylization, etc.' That's fine, of course, and I love that aesthetic approach, but why not go the other way? If done right, the effect would be remarkable...

They didn't demo TLoU:R last year and that was a game that was releasing in a little over a month at the time. They aren't going to give gameplay time to remasters.

Yeah they should show old games instead of new, unreleased ones. I like your logic.

Only conference I won't be watching live this year is Bethesda's. It's at 3 am here and the following day I have Sony's around the same time, I cherish my sleep too much to stay up both days lol

Looking forward to announcements from everyone though, we're 8 freaking days away, so excited!!

Yeah, what's most likely is that we'll get a trailer to showcase the upgraded models, lightning, textures, and some gameplay impressions from the press before launch.

Visionary.

Fallout 4 was, like, the safest imaginable bet. That's not hindsight bias either. You bet against high tide.

I know. But that team realises a new game every about 4 years. I just thought the idea of an elder scrolls game not coming out till about 2018 (Assuming fallout 4 is coming 2016) was crazier than a new fallout. Also I feel like the rumours of a new fallout being at E3 have been around for years now and this was just another year where nothing happened.

I just thought a new elder scrolls was more likely than a new fallout. But hey, what's the point in predictions if you can't look back and laugh at your self.

Yep, Fallout 4 and Uncharted Collection were the safest bets for this year.

Fallout 4 will come out this year my friend. I think that will be the huge announcement they save for E3 regarding that game

I'm really hoping for information on Rime, The Witness, No Man's Sky, The Talos Principle's DLC, Journey PS4 and Bloodborne DLC.

After seeing the current gen open world titles and then rewatching Uncharted 4, it was all the more impressive to me. Draw distance was outstanding, object fidelity in the distance was outstanding, texture quality on the rocks and trees and grass was outstanding, interactivity with the little objects was great, enemy AI was fantastic, etc.

We'll see just how open world it is, but something tells me that whole island will be open to explore.

Yes, my logic is the correct one.

There is an old marketing adage: "Always sell the product you have, not the product you don't"

UC:NDC is the product Sony has for this holiday; it's what they need to sell. If the Sony marketing people have any brains they will produce a nice trailer showcasing the improvements made in UC:NDC vs. the PS3 versions. They will then get on stage and demo UC4 MP. Afterwards they reveal that the UC4 MP beta will start in Dec. for all owners of UC:NDC.

This showcases UC4 and works on selling UC:NDC. It's called killing two birds with one stone.

NDC will get a trailer no doubt but that's it. The game will sell based on the UC4 beta. But with UC4 releasing in the spring and this bing E3 they will demo a set piece if the game
