Can't wait for that sweet, sweet UC4 demo.

I'm not sure if I really want to see it. Uncharted 4 sure is my most anticipated game, but set pieces are best enjoyed when you don't know 'bout them beforehand. The PSX demo showed all I really wanted to know (what has been improved).

On the other hand I really want to see that Next Gen Elena.

It drives me up the wall. The PS4 is the first Sony console that can't play PS1 games. Not to be dramatic, but it makes my PS4 feel weak. The Classics library is like 900 games my PS4 can't play. It's embarrassing and upsetting.

Sony on one hand acknowledges all the PS4 owners who didn't have PS3s, and on the other doesn't think that one of the defining features of the PlayStation 3 is a priority.

Yeah, it's really kind of frustrating. While I love my PS4 and Iove the games I had for it, I would really rather not have to hook up older consoles to play games, and the PS1/PS2 library would seriously help pad out the PS4's library.

To me, it's something that should have been in at launch, quite honestly.

After seeing the current gen open world titles and then rewatching Uncharted 4, it was all the more impressive to me. Draw distance was outstanding, object fidelity in the distance was outstanding, texture quality on the rocks and trees and grass was outstanding, interactivity with the little objects was great, enemy AI was fantastic, etc.

We'll see just how open world it is, but something tells me that whole island will be open to explore.
That seems unlikely, if only because we wouldve probably been told that already. They've put a big emphasis on the actual minute-to-minute gameplay being more open, that it would've made sense to announce it being fully open-world at the time if that was the case.

Dunno why you guys are so scared to see set pieces in that E3 demo; you have no context of where it takes place if you don't follow the game afterwards and besides Uncharted games are pretty long and have several great set pieces.

I thought the first demo was pretty good, but it didn't really wow me. Hope to see them pushing more boundaries.

Dude, been serious, don't fool yourself. It wasn't said once. So, it's likely to remain the same.

Don't make yourself disappointed for nothing, it's a great game and not open-world.

The only way it'd be 'open-world' if it's set on just one island, and we know that's not the case.

UC4 has already been described as a 'globe-trotting adventure' and Neil/Bruce mentioned stuff like various locales, if I remember it correctly.

We know that Drake is still going to be globetrotting, so it's obviously doubtful that they're going to make multiple open world locations. Neil has said that there are environments that are much bigger than the one in the PSX demo. And that was already seemed to be the biggest area that we've seen in the series when you consider that there are multiple paths that you can take.

I'm pretty excited to see what Nintendo is up to with the Wii U. I'm sure we'll see:

Devil's Third
Yoshi's Woolly World
Mario Maker
X
SMT x FE
Star Fox

but nothing stands out as a holiday title. Maybe Mario Maker but I expect them to announce another 3D Mario Title for this year. I'm a bit drained from playing Mario titles, but I welcome more.

Xenoblade Chronicles X for the west could also be a candidate.

No Animal Crossing?

That totally flew over my mind. I'm not sure about it being a 2015 title, but we'll most likely see it based off the hints given.

I could see it coming this year. Yoshi, Mario Maker, Xenoblade, Star Fox and Animal Crossing would be a very respectable Holiday schedule.

So what are you saying? That Activision is making an exclusive Crash game for PS4?

Do you really believe that? This is Activision. Some say The Devil himself. One of the most dominant publishing forces in gaming history.

Are they the kind of people who would make an exclusive for PS4? Think about it. Capcom likes making exclusives, but what was the last exclusive game Activision made?

The alternative is you believe Sony has somehow bought the IP. But with what money? We poor, man. I can't even buy socks these days. And why would Activision sell Crash? They could reinvent him and make him a billion dollar mascot like Spryo.

You said yourself they were making one. =P

Well, Lazyeye.

Yep! And I hope they show a different location this time. No Island.

It wouldn't surprise me if it's still on an island since TLoU seemed to show that they're going to be much more careful about showing too much of the game. But I would expect to get out first in-game glimpse of Nadine and possibly Rafe since we know that they're supposed to play a bigger role in the game than villains of the past.

Speaking of Crash, he's not looking so great. Looks more like street vermin.

Thats's not Crash. He doesn't have those goggles on his head like Daxter, and that is definitely not what a real life bandicoot looks like (since they've gone for a realistic style).

True. But I would trust ND to be able to pull it off. Keeping the tight action of the Uncharted series within the open environment.

Why would I be disappointed? Was just my initial thought based on how the demo was being showcased. Tight gameplay within the confines of the jungle / island environment.

Well, they've teased two other areas based off concept arts of UC4 shown in the "Art of ND" book, where there's a flooded village/area and a ruined outpost.

Technically they could show those, since they've technically already teased the artwork.

Is it possible that all of that art was just different parts of the island? I don't remember anything about them that would necessarily suggest that they didn't take place on or around it.

No problem tho. Was just overlooking, cause one of the main reasons for The Order been so hated, was people imagining that it was something it wasn't. (I know, a lot of cutscenes, and I loved it)
