Splatoon |OT2| Prepare to Dye

For some reason I'm way better at Splat Zones than I am Turf War.

In Splat Zones I'm consistently the top in Kill/Death ratio (just finished a game where I went 14/0) and play fairly aggressivly. In Turf War I don't perform nearly as well, and find myself getting splatted way more than I do in Splat Zones. I also find myself playing more defensively and staying behind to ink our side of the map, where I'm up at the front lines in Splat Zones.

Wonder how much time they spent just animating the dance. Definitely the best part of the plaza.



Also this reminds me of what Skies wanted.

So we know when/where a teammate is squid jumping by the marker on the map that shows where they will land. But, did you know, that if you see an arrow with your teammates name on it, that appears when the team mate hasn't fully spawned again but it tapping your position while dead? This kind of lets you know that your teammate is saying 'hey when I spawn I'm going to squid jump to you, I just haven't spawned yet!'. When I see this, I'll say 'C'mon!' to let them know 'I know what's up and I'll try to stay safe'. So, it's mostly those people who just got splatted and are anxiously tapping your position to squid jump as soon as they spawn, or YOU can use it while you are splatted to alert a teammate that you are planning to jump to them when you spawn. I've paid attention to this and during one match it was very effective because I think my whole team was using this to communicate in order to not get splatted as soon as you land.

Basically everyone spam Skies during respawning and when he says c'mon everyone will know it's bubble time.
 
Alright screw this, This A+ KMG guy keeps coming in with his splattershot which is not made for these maps at all and gets 4'th every match, costing me -12 points.

I also think this is another thing about Ranking. If someone just boosts on certain maps/modes and then doesn't know how to play other modes/maps. Ranking truly doesn't mean anything

*shrug* This isn't some MLG money game or something. Log on, play, win or lose, just have fun doing your best and improve yourself. If you are already losing consistently as low rank, ranking up only increases your chance of losing. Believe it or not, most of us are not superstars being held back by our teammates, just waiting to hit that magical rank where everyone is skilled and we win purely on our merit. It doesn't exist. For every teammate we whine about, another teammate is whining about us.

That's not really what I'm saying, I'm arguing about the flaws in how Splatoon assesses player skill. I generally agree with those sentiments, but they only hold true in a solid system.

After losing to the final boss with the Splat Roller in the very last part of the final phase, I was not feeling it in the Turf Wars yesterday. I hope today will be better.
