Splatoon |OT2| Prepare to Dye

Be thankful there is no voice chat. You would get xuraed to the heavens along with hate mail from your team.

Painting the floor in splatzone? Smh....

Hahahahaa, yeah, it was my fault :P will try later on today, now knowing the ruler. I'm doing pretty well on Turf War though, but my team love to NOT paint the floor, and play like it was Deathmatch, especially when i'm on a really great match >:(

Port is pretty easy to contain on. There's four entrances but 2 are always in your line of sight. You can have one person watching the left, one watching the right, and someone on the forklift on overwatch.

You can also have someone on the back forklift catching anyone that slips through and providing a safe spawn point.

Aww no room to join ya guys again. For some reason my Gamepad wasn't charging itself so I had to figure what was up.

Always seem to have connection issues when I'm only a sliver away from leveling up my character or gaining a new ability. Always.

Being in a room full of low levels while you're playing charger is both hilarious and good practice.

I'm a terrible person.

In fairness, this was a friend's room I jumped into.

I've stood at the same position and got different damage values. Unless I'm misunderstanding the mechanic, it doesn't seem to be consistent with the distance.

Yeah seems like it's actually an arc, so if when you swing your right side is closer than your left then where it hits is different

Weird weapon

Super boring tbh, is funny though

LOL
Finally got to try out the .52 gal deco a bit ago. I was excited because it had seekers and an inkdrop. Loved the regular .52 gal with its inkwall but the wail had way too harsh a startup on a weapon that can't really force folks out.

Skatepark came up and of course I want to go to my usual guardrail on the left to take out folks on the main tower...except the .52 gal cannot reach it. No problem. Ink up a path along the side of it. The vertical tower is too steep for them to fire directly below it to make me leave. Ink up side of tower in my ninjasquid shoes invisibly...pop up and drop a seeker.

I got 7 kills on one turn that way! Suicide bomber tactics in Splatoon with the seeker work really well. When it switched out to the mall folks got on the far left snipe ports trying to protect the middle. Guy had a sniper rifle and a roller up there to guard the edge. Popped off a few lobbies of ink to chase them from the edge, surfed up and point blank seekered them. 2 for 1! First I've ever multikilled with a bomb of any kind :)

So much fun. I can see the .52 gal deco as a favorite. I'll still swap in the OG .52 gal for its ability to blockade with the inkwall but that seeker is a fun thing to abuse. Plus inkdrop is king for disrupting skirmish points so we can push.

You can kinda make "parties" by joining your friend's rooms, but it will be easier in August. You can't decide who goes on what team yet though.

u don't stay in the same team doing so, right?

Don't get why Nintendo keeps blowing oportunities to enter e-Sport and make some $...

Maybe when you swing you also swing your gamepad with it so the arc hits the same spot.

That would be terrible for everyone's hands if true

I hope there is more time between matches in private lobbies. I was standing up and playing cause I didn't get back to the couch in time.

Anyone else get multikills with one shot from the charger

Is funny, dunno how the ink manages to hit at least two people at once

Disconnected, laaaame.
Great matches, having loads of fun. Will probably try to play some more later tonight but gonna take a break before my the gamepad molds itself to my hand. (or the other way around)

Has anyone tried to run away from a kraken by hold the painting button with the inkbrush?

I don't know if I have just outran one or the player was just that bad. It would be pretty broken if the movespeed increase was that much.

The thing about dual squelcher...you don't rack up as many points, but you are way more useful to your team

This sums up the Inkbrush rather well also in Ranked.

It's very rare that I get many kills with the thing and defend zones but capping them is incredibly smooth.

Isn't it faster than swim speed? I don't think it's really broken because inkbrush is still hard to use.

You'd probably outrun them, swim speed with ninja squid is enough to keep away.

Nah.

Kraken already has complete invincibility, paints while moving and can kill enemies with a timed attack. It's the equivalent of an invincible roller. You can already outrun the thing while swimming a way. You have to time the transformation right to get the most use of it.

Does anyone have an issue where friends just don't show up in the Join Friends option?

YES. Actually. It's really goddamn annoying, and I can't find a solution. They showed up fine a few days ago, but suddenly, nothing. We can only play if they join through me.

So a few questions for Brush-GAF

- What is your primary mode of movement around stages? Swimming of course. Rolling is to break into enemy turf on stages like Port Mackerel to distract the enemy when they're overrunning your base. Took me way too long to realize that offense is the best defense.
- How do you keep mobile (i.e. how do you manage to stay in your own ink/not run out of ink in key areas when in gotta go fast mode)? When do you diversify your movement between squid, brush, and super jumps? Jump brush squid, jump brush squid, jump brush squid
- Give me a list of all the crazy situations that lead to you having +1000 points consistently in Turf Wars. Either good teammates or a room full of bad players overall
That pretty much sums it up.
