Splatoon |OT2| Prepare to Dye

I do feel like at A- if you get a streak and eventually you'll get paired up with A+ and A guys if you keep reentering the lobby. If you are on a losing streak then you start to see more B+ and B players.

Is it weird that I like that they held back on some content purposefully? It's obvious that it's all been done, due to the brush being released so early and being a perfect fit for the meta. It makes the news that randomly pop up actually matter.

Everyone's getting to know the game together and they just feed us new content at a steady pace. It's something kind of new and very awesome.

Also I need to play with some Gaf folk to see if I'm as good as my like 15+ consecutive #1s with randoms (on my team, usually winning) indicate. Haven't played ranked yet, so that could also be a skill indicator. I just love Turf Wars.

I lost like more than 30 in a row today, from A+ to the bottom of B+. Maybe I should stop playing
forever
. Worst thing is I keep coming on top of the score board, that's why I'm getting so frustrated.

Yeah, fuck this shit.

None of you goddamn mutants follow me into my games anymore

That was close.

I died way too much, wow.

Sister is playing now, gotta cool off my brain after all that intensity.

Splatoon is the first game in a while that's made me feel like sometime I just need to take a break and calm down. Shit can get really intense sometimes, and that's just in turf war for me. I've barely even touched splat zones

You're turning into a squid!

You don't know what it's like being suffocated willingly like that.

You just don't man.

I was here thinking I was finally doing good/being a team player.

Then that happened.

This is "Roo back shelling me at the last second on Big Blue" tier stuff.

Great, now I get no satisfaction from killing you. (not that your sister is bad but I want your blood)

Fair enough :lol

It definitely can get quite intense. Imagine if the matches were longer (like a lot of people wished for before the release) :lol!

edit:
Yeah, I'm gonna cool off as well and end on a high streak.
GGs Blue! Fun matches tonight. You made me learn to be a real squid, dodging all those charger shots :lol

I'm the opposite. Splatoon is the first competitive game in a while that I feel I can relax with.

I bought Splatoon last night because it just looks too damn fun.

However the motion controls are abit difficult for me to cope with. Is it just a matter of getting used to it or should I just turn of gyro?

Feel free to join my room.

It's also queued, haha. Might take a break for a bit to eat.

It's worth it to let it click. It becomes glorious after that point.

I'd play through the single-player first and beat it with the gyro on.

Gyro > sticks in multiplayer, and the single-player has you pulling off stuff that will help out against actual players.

Keep at it for a few days and change the sensitivity if you need to. If after those few days you still don't feel comfortable with the motion controls, go to sticks.

I feel like despite my reactions on GAF (save for one or two actual times), this game is just fun to the point that I'm laughing most of the time and enjoying the ride despite having the strong competitive urge to win. There have been some amazing moments in the game though where I feel like I've had to use motor skills I never knew I had just to come out on top. That stuff is wild tense to do. :lol

I have much to learn...

Yup, once you get a game "fired up" once, it goes onto your QS menu, which you fire up by pressing the Home button on the GamePad (takes a second to start). If you start a game from there, it completely bypasses the OS load-out, and goes straight into the game (works on eShop too).

If its a new game on disc or otherwise, you'll need to go through the OS once to start it.

Okay, so my Jet Squelcher skills are not particularly great outside of Splat Zones. So let's try my fully leveled equipment + the Zapper. I may change shirts in order to utilize ninja squid, as that seemed to make me incredibly lethal.
