Now there are different attack animations depending on your left analog input (left/right, up, down)

That uh... sounds like a major thing to leave out of 1.0

(Although following the comment about running into memory limits w.r.t normal dodge roll in ATR 5.0 it might have been a similar issue)
 
Anyone else that is playing....does it sound like Noctis' voice is weird to you? The first scene he said something was dialogue I had never heard him say before and he sounded completely different but during battle he sounds like he did in V1.0 am I just hearing incorrectly or is this really a thing?

Now when they tell you to focus, The Triangle prompt comes up instead of stupid Lock-on focus.
 
It's being a slow DL for me. Was going to play episode 2 of Life is Strange tonight but I think I'll be exploring the new changes in this instead.
 
Hope we'll get some video comparisons, especially of the voice acting, I'm really curious but I'm too busy to play. :x
 
My main complaint in the next feedback will once again be the overall localiztion.

lol, this really isn't any difference other than it being a triangle.
 
Yeah I think there are two different voices on the demo. In scenes that are new (I am currently doing a "tour" with Gladio) Notics' battle quotes are new (at least I hadn't heard them before) and he sounds differently. But anything that was in V 1.0 sounds exactly the same.

I loved episode 1, a lot, but why did they have to release episode 2 the same day as Bloodborne and now episode 3 same day as The Witcher? >_<

I'll never play it at this rate.
 
Sooo should i try that ? WIll i like it more than the first version ? (My problem was that the combat needed too much focus, wasn't intuitive at all, and the lock system was awful...). RPG really needs some comfort so you can have a more distant view on tactics.

I know it's not an rpg anymore.. And i know people are happy FF turned into a random action game. I just hope for SE their fanbase will appreciate the change as well. Not every rpg lovers wants to perform timing based dexterity action.. It's nice when games have different genres.. versus all turning into the popular genre of the time..
 
Is this a direction and timing based dodge roll?
not sure. It feels like normal dodge (like KH dodge I guess?)

Are your GIFs sped up?

it kinda feels like it when I make gifs. I don't intend to speed them up, and I put 30fps which is same as the video. But for some reason gif seems faster.

Are there any penalties to using it like the auto-dodge we had before?

I don't really want the game to become spam-dodge like type-0.

Not that I am aware of. At least it doesnt use any MP. Not sure if the dodge have crazy invincibility frame though.

When did Action rpgs being classified as rpgs?
