Steam Summer Sale 2015 thread of refunding everything you buy (June 11-21)

Fifteen minutes of fighting to finally get Chroma Squad, whereas a game on the front page took me nothing to get. It begins.

Fuck. I got booted out of the library I was in for taking up too much bandwidth and when I got to the local Costa all of my Steam prices are in GBP.
If I still buy games in USD will I be charged an extra currency conversion fee or something?

RE5 DLC only 15% off. Bodes not well for the daily.
Wolfenstein Old Blood already 33% off.
Dark Souls 2 Scholar is already 50% off.
Pillars already 25% off.
Divinity 25% off too.

The dailies should be good for the games I want :)

Advice for getting price glitched stuff during the steam sale: Always be there for deal refresh. Refresh page like mad. 90% off (for something recent) is almost a guaranteed price glitch. Any percentage that doesn't end in 0, 3, 5, or 6 is almost guaranteed to be price glitch. Mash buy as quickly as you can because they tend to be fixed relatively quickly.

Doh! missed a pricing error for GTA V for 22.48 euro's. Knew when I saw that I should've instabought. Lets see if I can keep my money for a while longer to see what else this sale brings...

It wasn't a pricing error. Both of these ingame money cards were wrongly labeled "GTA V" but it wasn't "GTA V" just these stupid cards.

Okay, so with a bit of luck I managed to get to my wishlist and saw a bunch of things at 75% already. But now when I click store page it never loads :(
Why you do this to me Gabe, just let me waste my money already!

It is insane how many times they have such sales that they cannot fix the server issues for Steam... oh well got to wait until it dies down I guess

Guys, for fucks sake.

It's the same every. single. time. there's a big sale. You know this.

The store and community is going to be wonky anytime the daily update happens for every day of the sale.. Just relax and try again an hour (or two) later.

Lol @ this GTA V deal. I can't believe that shit. You still can't get it for less than full price (yeah I know it's bundled with other shit, but I bet a lot of people don't care about that stuff).

lol Rockstar, never buying a game from them again. Can't even buy the game alone? Not even a 25% discount on the game? LMAO.

How's Fez for 2$? I've been itching for a game like that for a while.

(If I can buy it, that is, with all the errors..)

It's not bad. I've beaten it, but I haven't gotten 100% just yet. The whole perspective shifting is a cool idea at first, but the game never really does anything cool with it. Usually it's just a matter of getting stuck somewhere, rotating the world until you can continue, and then moving on. Neat game with good music, but it felt a little half-baked.

DOA5 is $24 but fuck what if it goes on sale during a daily.

Wait until the last day of the sale/encores. If it hasn't gone cheaper that that BUY.

This is the rule ALWAYS. There is rarely RARELY price-mistakes on sales once Valve settles it.

I know it gets said every new sale, but man. Steam sales just aren't what they used to be.

That's not true. Bundles just skewed our perception, plus many people already owned most of the games on sale. I just looked at some of my old purchases from 2009-2011, and I bought things that looked like phenomenal deals back then that are just decent deals nowadays.

Yay game!

Hah, well that's an 'interesting' snafu. Thanks tho :) Guess we won't see the game at that pricepoint for at least a year.

I'm honestly tempted to just buy a cheap CD key after a stunt like that. I was hoping for a 25% discount at the very least!
