Steam Summer Sale 2015 thread of refunding everything you buy (June 11-21)

Are you playing the game of actively trying to pick which lane will go first and hope to get gold? For me and ours, I can't get em all, they die too fast!!
I was last night in a relatively slow game, but now that I'm in one so insanely active as this it's not even possible. We're at level 240. Everything dies too quickly to bother moving from one lane to another!

A friend of mine got this:

Not surprised considering that even Cookie Clicker could detect you using an autoclicker and offer you an achievement for it.

Yeah, same here, smells like total bullshit.

The game is web based. Steam does not have VAC built-in to monitor processes, as far as I know - process detection is built into VAC-enabled games and not distributed with the client itself.

edit: I suppose they could detect monotonous clicks in the same area in pattern, though.

And in where in the rules they said one cannot use autoclickers?
Guess they have joint operations with Logitech etc. when people need to buy new mouse hardware after breaking the left button.

Oh I don't care about the legality of it. If people get banned they can be as indignant as they like.

It's just really pathetic.

(Not the banning. The people doing it.)

I just grabbed Child of Light, Risk of Rain and NBA 2K15 after already buying the latest CSGO mission pass and a couple of keys earlier *sigh*

I still want This War of Mine and Grey Goo but I'm holding out for some gamepad compatible games.

Also NBA2K15 is a 45gb download?! Jeez...

Do the games appear more than once on a daily/flash deal?

It's kinda hard to choose what game you want to take, since you are on a tight budget and don't have a big library.

Really tempted to just bite on DS2: Scholar, might not have time to play, by the time its a daily. What are the chances it will be?

High. And the sale is only a week or so. You're "not gonna have time by the time it hits daily" really?

Anyone mind sharing their thoughts on Nidhogg and/or Octodad?

NIDHOOOOOOG.

Yes, you should definitely get Nidhogg if you enjoy local MP. Some of the most fun MP gaming I've had in the past year. Octodad is more devisive. Either you like the gimmick enough to stick with it, or it's a novelty that gets old fast. I liked it though.

Have to try joining a friend's game. That's the only way it's worked for me.

That is a lot easier said than done when you gain levels so quickly and you need to be within 10 levels of your friend to join the game. and that's assuming you have a friend that got into the game which is seemingly almost impossible.

Nidhogg is tempting. Any impressions of it? It seems like a really fun local multiplayer game.
Very fun for about fifteen minutes. Great with friends. Includes a fast paced tournament mode. It's a blast the first time you play, but is so shallow you won't stick with it for long. Make sure you have an audience. It's just as fun to watch as to play.

The only thing I can compare it to is Warioware, for sheer multiplayer absurdity.

So how is Lego Batman 3, open world wise? Not that I expecting some really deep such, but I wondering the amount of stuff that can happen.

It might have been glitched earlier but I joined right into a level 58 group shortly after 10am PT. Maybe that's because I got up to 120 yesterday and it allowed me to jump ahead? But yeah I'd agree that the way things are going right now, it's just leveling too fast.

I think you can join a game within 10 levels of the highest level you've achieved.

So I load up Steam and it shows the regular format with no sales but Borderlands GOTY is 10 dollars. So I get ready to buy a 4-pack but reload Steam and the sale is back up with the game at 15 now.

Y'all broke the game.

It's kinda hard to choose what game you want to take, since you are on a tight budget and don't have a big library.

It's somewhat common for select Dailies to re-appear as Flash Sales, and the last day may be an "encore", so there's a reasonably good chance of a popular Daily making another appearance.

Something is messed up cause I just joined a game and I am at level 245 already.

Nay. Simply more people playing, more people knowing what to do, and boosts that came from how high people got last game sped the early levels and money gain up considerably.

I'm hoping to see level 999 by tonight.

Been a while since I played a C&C game.

Really tempted to buy C&C 3 and Red Alert 3 with expansion packs. How do they hold up?

edit:
Nvm, bought them all with Wolfenstein New Order :)

How's Starbound coming along? I'm trying to rouse my old Terraria crew and see if they're interested.
They didn't release a stable update for months on end but they have now released it and supposedly they will release more frequent updates.

Personally I find it boring and haven't spent much time in it compared to Terraria.

Posting here too :P,

Anyone want to split-up the KOF 2002 and 98 Two-packs right now, so we can save a buck? You know, one buys the 2002 two-pack and the other one '98, then we gift the extra games...

What are you guys focusing on putting your gold into? At first it was all about health and auto-click along with click damage but now I'm thinking elemental might be best but gets very expensive very fast.

Do you have a priority of what you like to increase first when a ton of gold flies in?

Is there any way to *not* spend my badge points on a one-time special item? Seems it won't let me continue the game unless I do. I want to collect more before I decide what I want to spend it on.
