Steam Summer Sale 2015 thread of refunding everything you buy (June 11-21)

The metagame is particularly shitty this time around. I cant even play it.

I just want my dumb cards for my dumb badge, whys this have to be so difficult? I may get the cards from purchases, but as of right now I already own everything I want.

I already own Sonic Generations & All Star Racing.
How are Sonic adventures and Hedgehog 4 games compared to Generations? Is Generations the best of all?

So how do I get into the SteamGaf monster clicker group? I'm friends with some of you, but all the games are way higher level than my top, so I can't join. I assume I can rejoin when the day resets or something.

No, it's the same as the console versions.

Make sure you get the All You Can Eat bundle as the DLC is always more expensive bought separately, even in sales.

Oh wow, thanks! I missed that completely. I got the All You Can Eat version.

Also thanks to everyone for the info on the game.

I just got a notification, thought I'd got another Monster Clicker card...

Avoid both Sonic 4 games, they're trash.

While I think Generations is the best of the bunch, it's not really comparable to the Adventure titles. Those games feature multiple playable characters, different level-designs, more exploration, etc.

Okay now I'm getting salty at Ziggurat.

First time around the final boss whipped me with a shit-ton of projectiles + summons that I just couldn't handle.

Second time? Didn't even try to fight. He went down faster and harder than...eh..nevermind.

Third time? Just like the first.

I mean what the hell.

EDIT: Pac-man Championship DX+ is so worth it. Excellent game.

how's mercenary kings?

I thought the controls were stiff and the shooting kind of sucked. Only played it for a few hours but the gun customization didn't really seem to change the guns that much.

Dead Space 3 did gun customization really well. That was a pretty good game. In Co-Op at least.

List of games I'm tempted to get before the deal ends in next 11 hours:

Crypt of the NecroDancer
Wolfenstein The New Order
Homeworld Remastered

Help me choose one, guys.

Depends what you are looking for. High budget game with awesome and fun shooting mechanics, but not so much replay value? Go Wolfenstein. Charming and unique indie with tons of replay value? Go Necrodancer.

I personally like Necrodancer more.

hmm lets see if there is a nice deal for NEO Scavenger, i read its a nice game.

"NEO Scavenger is already in your Steam library"

:/
Had this same problem with Startopia in the GoG sale. Saw it on sale, but by the time I got around to buying it I was saddened to find that its sale had expired.

Then I noticed the icon stating I already owned it <_<

I actually like all three types of games. I'll probably get NecroDancer along with another 14 bucks game between Wolf and Homeworld. Is Wolfesntein any good?

They're all solid - depends on what you feel like playing. I'd go for whatever genre you haven't itched in a while, or what kind of play sessions you're looking for. Instant gratification or something more paced?

There's Shadow Warrior (i think the daily passed on that one, but it's just as gratifying and probably cheaper than Wolf)

edit: my bad, no daily yet on Shadow

If you never play Homeworld, Homeworld.

If you've played Homeworld but in the mood for some space epic rts game with awesome music, Homeworld.

Wolfenstein was my personal favorite FPS last year. Just a ton of fun and doesn't take itself too seriously. It embraces how ridiculous it is on the gameplay front.

Man, I've had my eye in Battlebrthers since early in development, but I can't see myself dropping that much in it right now.

Early access is such a tease during these sales. I understand why you wouldn't want to gut the price early, but on the other hand there's definitely an argument to be made for lowering the barrier to entry for early adopters of an incomplete game.

Hey guys, like all previous years I'm taking part to this Summer Sale craziness.

Just a quick question: what's the most painless method to move your entire Steam installation, games and gamesaves included, to another drive without breaking any Registry association?

I've looked around and found a few different suggestions, but I'd like to hear if there's a new consolidated and foolproof way to do that.

Thanks in advance!

Spent a bit of time playing the Salt demo, just enough to explore one island, build myself a club and a crude sail raft, and travel to a second island. It's a peaceful experience, and I quite like the sailing mechanism (controlling the rudder and raising the sail). It feels a bit like "Wind Waker meets Rust." Going to need more time to form a proper opinion (in particular actually exploring the combat and raiding a pirate camp), but my early impression is that it might well be worth the discounted price - not so much the full price yet.

If I recall correctly from my last time, it's as easy as going to your Steam installation, deleting everything but the SteamApps folder and steam.exe and moving those to the new area. Then run Steam and it'll rebuild from there.

Just want to say Enhanced Steam doesn't adjust historical prices for other currencies. It only lists historical prices for US currency... is there anywhere else on the web that has steam historical prices for other currencies?
