First round I got 2 cards, and at the precise moment the game restarted and kicked all out for starting the current run I got a 3rd card, then after the current game was up and running a 4th card dropped.

My game is currently lagging though, I can jump 2-5 levels at a time, at times.
 
Despite the statistics on the community page saying I have 4 cards I only have one card, received by crafting, in my badges tab. I am over Steam level 5 (level 7) so that can't be the problem...

6 cards, maybe you have also bought games, that's suppose to give you cards too, I haven't picked up anything yet.

Then I' def restarting at Lvl 1000.

No, I haven't bought anything yet (well, I bought Europa Universalis IV this week when it was at -75%, but that was before the Summer Sale).

I was curious and tried for a third time. I think it doesn't work (maybe you need to wait until a certain level, hours, or something). It's still waiting for players to join but last time it gave me the card as soon as I joined.
 
Anyone getting no thumbnails on flash deals, yesterdays deals and top sellers?

Only thumbnails that show are daily deals. Using IE btw, yes I know, I have all the browsers
 
Card drops are probably tied to the daily milestone achievements. That would explain as to why nothings dropping now even if you're doing levels over 1000.
 
There might be something to starting a new game. I was level 1240, started a new game and immediately got a card drop. (Then quit that game and went back to my old game.)
 
Just tried restarting...got one card drop immediately, then a second one a few minutes afterwards. I was at level 800 when I restarted.
 
Sup guys, I'm kinda new to the whole Summer Sale thing, but right now I see Wasteland 2 for a 50% discount. Is there a way to predict if the discount will get any higher in the coming days? Or should I just buy now?

It's daily. Won't get cheaper in this sale.

If its daily or flash i'd pick it up.
 
For what it's worth I think Crysis 2 is a fun FPS for like 6 dollars. With Maldo's mod it's one of the best looking games available and the action is fun and effective. Gets shit on a lot for failing to be as open as Crysis 1 but in exchange for smaller levels you get much tighter gunplay and some good set pieces.
 
I know there are a lot of I'm new to steam summer sale posts, but new to steam and its sales. I haven't been keeping up much with what it has to offer, but I'm interested in great indie games to play. I just want to expand my library. So I'm asking, is there anything I should be looking out for? Any and all suggestions welcomed. Thanks :)

A easy way to see best rated indie games is go to https://steamdb.info/sales/ and sort by rating (at top and scroll down to summer sale)
 
Do we know if there is going to be an encore day? Thinking of waiting on Metro, buying it would be contingent on what else I get this coming week.
 
It's pretty simple really.

If the game you want isn't in a Daily/Flash/Community Deal then do NOT buy it. A lot of games will be discounted despite not being featured in these deals. If by the end of the sale it has not featured in any of the deals then BUY it because that's the lowest it's gonna go.

There was one last year. No one here can know if it'll happen again and if Metro will be featured though.
