There might be something to starting a new game. I was level 1240, started a new game and immediately got a card drop. (Then quit that game and went back to my old game.)

This worked for me too. They must have a trigger somewhere that says "if they join a new game, give them a card." There might be some type of limit because it only works once, but it definitely gives you a free card if you haven't been getting them by sticking to a single game all day.

Anyone here tried out Oceanhorn? My friend expressed interest in it and is in the mood for a zelda style game on the pc. Figure if its good I'll just buy it for him.

As for me I think I'll just get the latest Ys game and some of the cheap shmups on the last day if they aren't dailies/flashes. I'll consider Alien Isolation if its $12.50 again.

Oceanhorn was OK. More of a 5 buck game but some puzzles are OK. Combat is easy

Anyone know if Tesla Effect is worth it?

If you like the other Tex games you will like Tesla Effect. If you haven't played those games, it just depends on whether that's your type of adventure (mix of 3D environment exploration with conversations/interrogations using live actors). Puzzles in this game are fair - some excessive hunting for small objects but nothing too unfair or frustrating. Mostly inventory combinations and using those items on other objects.

It's got that perfect mix of sci-fi and noir, and I found Tesla Effect to be a great throwback to its predecessors as well as a good game in its own right.

I clicked buy on Kingdom of Amalur. Somehow my brain stopped working and I purchased it...

And I bought Double Dragon Neon because I found a buddy who would play it with me. Now waiting for Resi 4 daily/flash and some smaller stuff.

It's on Flash, so there shouldn't be a problem. Kingdoms is a love it or hate it kind of game, need to dump a couple hours into it to find out for yourself. Don't do side quests.
This is very true. I enjoyed my time going through the main quest. You can do some reasonably fun character builds, I didn't have any bugs, and the story is ok.

Picked up Enslaved™, Odyssey™ to the West™ Premium Edition™ as well as Banished, Kingdoms of Amalur and Long Live the Queen

The Last Remnant was one of my favorite games on the 360 from last gen. Loved it. If you like Kawazu-type games:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akitoshi_Kawazu
Go for it! I can easily say that without hesitation.
If, however, his style of games doesn't gel well with you, forgetaboutit. You can feel his influence throughout the game.

Never played any of those games. WTH it's cheap so let's see

I had no idea there was an EDF game on Steam.

My understanding is it doesn't really stay totally true to the other EDF games. It was made by a different, american dev and was an attempt to get the series big in the US. As a result it loses a lot of the charm.

Based on what I've heard others say/read.

My haul so far (in email tags):

It's been a good sale for me. Lots of solid, cheap indies. I hope I find time to finish them all.

Wow Sanitarium is up and in sale?! They're digging deep into the archives huh?! Jets n guns too! Guys, Sanitarium is fan fucking tastic. Buy it!!

By mistake? Request a refund ;)

No, I wanted the game but I also wanted to wait. Won't request a refund because I would probably buy it in the next sale. And I don't think it would get cheaper.

Played the demo back when it came out on Xbox 360 and I liked it. Why shouldn't I do sidequests?

I encountered some bugs in the course of 100%ing it, but on a scale of 1 to Bethesda it's like a 0.5.

There are a metric ton of sidequests and it's pretty easy to get sidetracked/overwhelmed trying to complete everything. The sidequests are usually pretty good though, so, you know, do what you want.

Definitely try different builds. Daggers main are awesome, but switching to, like, a strength build can be a fun change of pace too.

There are faaaarrrr too many to complete and the majority boil down to Dragon Age Inquisition fetch quests. The general advice is to ignore them and barrel through the main story, though there may be some choice side quests to take part in.

The other problem is the game has a trivial difficulty level, which gets compounded by becoming over leveled from side quests.

I deeply regret putting Inquisition in my GOTY list. It's Fetch Quest: The Game

The main problem with the difficulty is that they use level scaling of a sorts, and the level of the enemies/encounters/loot is based on your level when you first enter a region. So, if you make a level 1 run across three zones to get to a specific town to buy something, by the time you get back to those areas, everything is at the minimum level for that zone.

Can somebody purchase the games in the Wolf Pack and send them to me via gifting?

http://store.steampowered.com/sub/418/

I can't seem to complete the purchase and keep getting an error. Support isn't going to deal with my problem anytime soon, so it would be appreciated.

Purchase them separate and then send them to me. The pack itself is set at a higher price. Payment will be sent via PayPal afterwards.

Playing The Witcher really puts into contrast how poorly BioWare handled the whole semi-open world structure while trying to still emphasize story. Looking back on it now, how Wild Hunt handles story in the open world is how I had hoped BioWare would do things in Inquisition. Instead we got endless fetch quests with barely any story context.

Welp, with that day of the game ending, here were my stats:

Level: 892

HP: 415k
Base auto-fire DPS: 11,620
Base click damage: 1,270

Light Armor: 11
Heavy Armor: 10
Energy Shields: 3
Auto-fire Cannon: 42
Advanced Targeting: 12
Farming Equipment: 10
Armor Piercing Round: 46
Explosive Rounds: 8
Lucky Shot: 4
Boss Loot: 0

Elemental Damage: 3s across the board

I had about 3.1 million gold unspent.

Well I ended at level 1440. That was a crazy day. Not sure if I'm gonna go nuts with this again going forward though...
