Steam Summer Sale 2015 thread of refunding everything you buy (June 11-21)

Much like every sale, I will buy most of the games that would never see a Daily/Flash and then stare at Nuclear Throne and wonder if it ever got a sale price ever in it's history.

Buy the first Dark Souls and use DSFix to fix it. Skip Mordor until it's much cheaper. It's boring and not as interesting as the Batman games.

Yeah. I played through Mordor a few weeks ago. I did not get the hype during the release. The whole game feels like "mix all modern AAA games together but with lower qualtiy."

And the nemesis system itselfs feels more like a spreadsheet (which it essentially is I guess).

Agarest 1 is tempting - I've been meaning to get it despite some people saying its mediocre ;p.

I'll pass on it for now and will get it during the holiday sale I guess.

Anyways got Metal Slug X for $1.99! (75% off) and to my surprise I find that Metal Slug 1 is coming out on June 26th 2015 :O!

Whats with these weird releases....#3 got out first, then X and now #1 - what next , #2? lol

Dark Souls II when it goes on sale, or Shadow of Mordor now?

Need something to sink time into. I've never played a souls game, but I have played every Arkham game, and i hear SoM is basically tolkien Arkham.
SoM is a fantastic game, I put around 40 hours, by just messing around with the nemesis system, and completing sidequests. With that said, Dark Souls 2 has more content, and a larger variety of enemies. It's also got new game plus, which adds replay value. Still, I preferred SoM combat mechanics. Hope that helps.

Journalists were pimping the shit out of that game and people ate that up because they had nothing to play.

What are the main differences between 2003 and XP/VX Ace? Is it less functional in some way but more functional in others?

RPG Maker 2003 is the only one which has sideways battle system like NES/SNES FF games, while XP and VX have 'first person' battle like Dragon Quest games.

OK I am ready to hit the gun on the following:

1 USD = 15.41 MEX

Didn't get Sunless Sea or The Last Remnant. I probably will buy those on the winter sale.

Korra worth it for someone who hasn't watched the series yet, but loves platinum games?
I assume this game might get delisted in the future because it's a licensed activision game, right?

I thought it was pretty fun, it's not as good as the other Platinum games and you can tell they were working off a much lower budget, but they tried anyway.

You don't really need to have any Korra knowledge, the game is very light on story.

X is just a better version of 2, so essentially they went 3 -> 2 -> 1

They just went with the most fan-favorite game first to test the waters and then went back and did the other two when it sold. After the KOF and MS games I expect they'll keep putting more old SNK stuff on there, like Garou Mark of the Wolves etc

I haven't played SoM yet, but all of the Souls games are among the absolute best of the generation, so I'd definitely recommend those first.

I think It's best to play the original Dark Souls before any other of the games, but even jumping straight to DSII its a really great experience.

Does it trade off some of the more advanced tech from the later versions to get that battle system, or can it still do most of what XP/VX can?

Korra worth it for someone who hasn't watched the series yet, but loves platinum games?

yeah, it's a really low budget game but worth playing for cheap, the combat is pretty enjoyable and interesting with the bending and switching to rack up combos, like a light version of bayonetta's dodge offset, although there aren't enough enemies to fight it scratches that action game itch

the problem with the game is that it's pretty low budget and lacked variety of enemy types and another huge issue is that most skills are locked for like a large portion of the game, it also has dumb mini games that are unnecessary to pad the game, for a few bucks it's worth trying if you like PG games

X is a remake of 2, so I hope we get 4, 5, 6, and XX soon

Whoops forgot that X was actually part 2 lol.

Been a long time since I played the series.

So they went backwards ;o....still odd but oh well.

Just purchased child of light - hope its worth it!

I have no idea how card drops work.
I only got 1 drop from all of yesterday but today I got 3 within only a few hours.
Disappointingly cards seem to be worth next to nothing now though and I could care less about badges.

I should beg for deals more often. What do you guys want.

Get some voodoo begging going on there for Life is Strange and Endless Legend, man! haha.

And man, bought KoF13 yesterday, tried it out today, I love how the game looks, but being in Brazil and only having friends with the game in Portugal isn't working. The netplay delay makes it unplayable for any sort of remotely serious fights. Definitely feeling like asking for a refund, as I'm not getting much mileage out of the game by myself...

Is it any good? I don't recall the reviews being favourable.

It only good when you have all 4 elements (you lose them at the start and slowly regain them), but even then it still pretty crappy for the most part. Dull enemies, awful Naga parts, hardly any story and only like one other character from the show beside Korra and Naga is in this.

so I know the base game of METAL SLUG DEFENSE isn't considered to be very good. does anyone know if the dlc pack that is currently $7.50 would make the game worth it to play?
