What really excites me about this game is the weird disconnect between the story stuff and what we know about the game itself. There's a lot of gameplay in there, we know for sure, but these story trailers are very strange and definitely suggest that there is going to be a lot of narrative stuff. Really hoping it all goes somewhere really unexpected.

Also, with the focus on language in this trailer, the lack of spoken lines by Kiefer is starting to actually make some sense...

I'm sure the game has been all but finished for a while but I'm also curious to see if Kojima goes out with a bang here knowing that it's the end at Konami. Do something really crazy with the story. If anyone could pull off something like that it's Kojima.

An example would be, if you don't know any words for something like 'freedom', how can you identify, express or even understand the experience?

Literally, the only bad thing I take from this is seeing what Silent Hills could have been with those freaky horror sequences. The New Order, the tease without giving anything away, the dig at Konami, the feeling of closing the loop, the EVERYTHING. Thank you Hideo.

Snake has his hair dyed in mgs1 so no one would confuse him for liquid.

This trailer legitimately drained me. It's the first time ever that I felt tired after watching a trailer.

Because of that, I like it, but I don't know how I feel about it. It's not the usual hype trailer that MGS3/4/PW had that knows how to get your hype engines revving.

There is no grace in falling forever towards the abyss.

Unless big retcons are involved, it doesn't make any sense for those two to be Solid and Liquid. For them to be Solidus and Liquid makes a lot more sense.

Yeah, maybe some memory shenanigans or altered consciousness seem to happen to either forget or don't "get" who each other are.

On the other... this is our last Kojima MGS trailer.

They have a whole Tower of Babel thing going on here. There are some religious undertones. Would fit with Skull Face because he's probably originally Jewish. Might have survived the incinerator and then Zero saved him and made him one of his men. Also, either there's some heavy LSD (could be a biological agent) usage or this game is bringing back the supernatural elements. In before Codetalker is Raven's grandfather.

MGS4 was a huge disappointment for me, but Ground Zeroes' gameplay pushed all the right buttons.
