It's not really that improbable, they remade DQ7 which is a bigger game than FF7. It's just that when someone says remake they think it's going to look like FF15, yeah I don't see that happening either. Still could be a good remake and true to the original.

Probably the port release. Which I'd probably get. Maybe a Vii compilation collection on ps4 with DoC, Ff7, Crisis Core, AC etc with high res textures, higher poly models and stuff. Not a remake but close enough.
