FFVII was such an important game for Sony during the Ps1 days. The impact was huge. Both Playstation and Final Fantasy became household names ever since.

A remake wouldn't have the same impact, but I'm Sure Sony would want this as PS4 exclusive.

God I had so much fun with FFVII. I remember doing all sorts of crazy shit with matria programming.

I remember the first time my friends and I figured out you could cast reflect on your party, then all-attack your party, and it would bounce back and hit the enemy 3 times.

Nah it depends on the partnerships and who's paying the bills.
Also it's clear that most of the people who are asking for this and want to play it are Playstation fans.
Would be much easier than you're thinking to snap it up as an exclusive for Sony if they are willing to help with development, publishing and marketing,.
