Horizon: Zero Dawn Trailer (Guerrilla, post-apocalyptic pre-historic adventure)

Smh it's just my preference, many people here prefer female for what ever reason. Will still buy the game if it gets good reviews.

Your preference is your preference, no one can really fault you for that. Your logic for it is fucking insane, though.

This game grabbed my imagination. Very inventive stuff.

I don't get why they'd hunt robo-dinosaurs, though. They sure aren't the best diet... did I miss something there?
Well going by what was shown and coming from a biology background (and currently doing bio-fuels research) it looks like the dinos shes hunting turn the organic matter (grass in this case) into some kind of liquid (most likely fuel). Which makes me wonder about the story. What if the dinos have a single mind or purpose and are not just like a normal wild creature. Those things collect fuel the "watchers" and t-rex dino make sure that the collectors (deer looking creatures) make it back to base. I assume the creatures don't live off of flesh but fuel or solar energy. Like that brachiosaurus looking dinos head is either a solar sail or act as radio beacons to keep all the other dinos connected...this is all speculation of coarse.

This is bullshit and you know it. This girl is in no way hypersexualised. Talk about looking for things to find offensive.

How is that design hyper sexualised?

This looks fantastic, what a great reveal and expansion for Guerrilla.

I don't think you know what that means.

If you think this is hyper sexualised, I feel sorry for you lol.

atypical, as in not typical, as in not hypersexualized.

I hope the game has difficulty modes that are hard enough that you can get one shot killed. Would suit the game and the kind of enemies we are facing.

Id absolutely love this. Would make the battles that much more intense. Assuming the controls arent cumbersome that is.

The big dino was already really smashed up so you probably won't always be able to take that type on so directly.

Yea I noticed there was a weak spot with sparks coming out of it before they started fighting. Fights will probably be a bit more difficult when theres not any weak points to exploit initially

My only gripe is that the name sucks and is as generically non-descriptive as it gets.

It should be called, "Ygritte: Robot Dinosaur Hunter"

I will riot and break multiple things if they don't have an alternate costume that looks just like Ygritte.

Because maybe that's stuff you find out when you play the game? Also, it's a game in a scifi fantasy setting?

Was just about to say the same thing.

This is a fantasy/sci-fi novel lovers wet dream on screen.

Then there is also No Man's Sky for the Buck Rodgers types as well.

Sony knows the demographic and is bringing some amazing 80's nostalgic vibes.

Game of the show for me. Can't stop watching the trailer. Amazing concept, gorgeous. Bra fucking vo. This game will deliver, I have zero doubts about it. This game was made for me. I am in love with everything about it.

Looked really interesting. Hopefully the combat is fairly freeform, the gameplay showed great potential, although of course great graphics helps.

Before you bold, italicise and highlight, you should realise thats not how the word atypical functions in English.

The way you said it is more like "abormally hypersexualised".

You were aiming for something like "and atypically not hypersexualised".

I don't know what I was expecting but I feel disappointed. Graphics and art style looks amazing for sure but the gameplay looked very generic and by the numbers. I hope I'm proved wrong though!

Sure it's a video game, but average male 2-3× is always faster, more powerful, athletic then the average female, so if a game character was gonna be capable of all these incredible things it would make sense if the character was a male.

Ok you might have not been banned for your Nintendo thread railing but hopefully you'll fall for this.

I glanced at your avatar and laughed

I did the very same thing.

I think this is easily the game of show. Just due to the fact that it's a new IP with GAMEPLAY ready and no CG was a really shocker for something that we only know so few about. The new protag looks amazing and I can't wait. Everything looks good, graphics, weapons, camera movement. Like ..ugh everything! I can't wait.

I think we were able to get what you meant, but the way you used the words was wrong. You could have said that her character design is an atypical one in its lack of hypersexualization, that not being hypersexualized makes her design atypical, but by saying her design an atypical hypersexualized one, you are saying that her design is hypersexualized in a non-typical way.

Game of the fucking show the concept art had me so hyped but i thought it is never gonna look that amazing but here it is holy crap. I was ready to burn Shinobi if the game either did not show up or did not have robo dino's. You survive another day Shinobi.

Their past games weren't Horizon.

Their past games were FPS corridor shooters. Completely different from what Horizon is trying to be. There's no similarity at all except for the superb art direction. You should consider this a fresh start from GG.

I know, but I don't want to give in to fast into the hype only to get disappointed. Like I said, this is the thing I'm most interested in from what we saw at E3 until now.

ZOID BRO FIST BRO

Count me in with you! This reminds me that I really need to get to work on my Gojulas model kit.

that's like saying someone is atypical racist. It is racist still, but not a normal one.

okay. my bad guys. at least you got what i meant now lol

Then you want to use the adverb "atypically" to apply it to the verb hypersexualized, not the adjective "atypical" which would apply to the noun ("one" implying the main character).

From that interview with the studio head, I love that they're just called "machines." Perfectly fits with the vibe they're putting across.

Seriously, they're nailing everything about this game right out of the gate. The tone is exactly what I wanted it to be when I first saw the concept art. Like, they have this batshit premise and they're taking it as seriously as possible, but it's so batshit that they inherently cannot be taking themselves too seriously. It's a fascinating line to be walking. God. This is why I love video games. Please don't break my heart, Horizon.

dat art design.

dat music.

dat gameplay.

looks sick, what a great unveiling. and 3rd person too! hell yeah, guerrilla finally gonna show their range.

looks like a Naughty Dog game in many ways, the stealth system looks very similar to U4's. Guerrilla taking notes from the masters.
