No, it's normal for a Sony Press Conference. It always has highers views. Part of it is the time of day the conference happens. The other part is that it generally has more content that people who visit NeoGAF are interesting in.
holy..I'm sure that Shu was quite genuine, but felt like it was simultaneously a plea to have Ueda reconsider his resignation since he was singled out and given his due in a public setting and also an attempt to tie his legacy to Sony in perpetuity. It's the same thinking behind asking someone to marry you in public with witnesses, in my eyes.
Or the fact that CoD jumped ship to the PS4 for timed DLC.
Sony maybe won hearts of fans but they failed to sell PS4 for holiday season for second year in the row. Maybe this will change after Paris Show but this was purely 2016/17 conference.
Because of that i thing that MS did better job on E3. I need to see Nintendo Direct i Square Enix conference to decide who "won" E3 but for me Bethesda had best conference for now.

Oh hey I just thought about this as I was falling asleep and maybe it's already been confirmed vaoorware but what ever happened to that new Rockstar IP that Sony supposedly bought around a decade ago?

You think a game show held on October will change Sony's holiday season?
By and large, Sony's "2015" is done. There's a few outliers like Rime still up for maybe 2015, but none of them are "big games" that will change the holiday season outlook.
Sony's show was miles better than Microsoft.
For me, it's weird, it's like Microsoft has an identity crisis. It wants to be both, Sony with the big bold games and nintendo with the more family friendly, more japanese stuff and it comes off as pretense in my view. It's hard to describe.

Eh no. At best they tied with MS. Not a bad thing however, both shows were amazing. I'm glad FFVII Remake and Shenmue 3 are going mutliplat.
I haven't played Wind Waker HD.

TLG looked like a nice indie effort, was never hyped. No interest in FF7 or Shenmue, so only Horizon wowed me.
Also felt like MS strangely had the stronger indie lineup.
There is more than enough to play until next E3 so it doesn't matter, but conference was a letdown for me. Uncharted looks great of course, but I never doubted that one...just a confirmation.

Guys what happened tonight is almost once In a lifetime.. I can't think of any other game that could illicit such a response. So many of us have a fond memories of that game. On top of rumors of a remake for years + the PSX troll.

The live Sony presentation broke GAF for a while. But after it ended, this thread has been at the top of the first page all day.
There's no doubting the impact of the big three bombshells dropped by Sony.

don't they have like the marketing rights to a bunch of big third party games this winter, Sony should still do okay. Maybe not as great as if they actually had u4 this holiday but i think they have their backs mostly covered when dealing with the mass market instead of the hardcore gamers.
My general impression is that this has been a fairly strong E3 for everyone. Bethesda did well with Fallout 4 to close out their first conference, Ubisoft juggled a ton of upcoming shit, MS has the awesome backwards compatability megaton, Sony threw out megatons left and right and had a great reaction to Horizon. Even EA had Battlefront.

exclusives wise yes Sony has a weak holiday but they have the marketing rights for what will be the biggest third party titles of the fall (COD and Star Wars)

That is not something that users are expecting. When you see MS and their lineup Sony simply got destroyed and they should be when second year in the row they don;t have anything better from their first party then remake of Vita game and PS3 games.
That is why i said maybe. But you are right their holiday lineup is exclusive content for 3rd party games.

If you prefer the Xbox or Nintendo, then it's very easy to be down on this Sony show. "It's just a remake! If it was awesome to begin with, then you wouldn't have to remake it!"
Kinda hoping for FF7 on Vita tho. Guess I can remote play.
