Best E3 conference in a long time. TLG lives, Horizon was absolutely gorgeous, NMS, FF7 Remake and Shenmue 3 to boot. Great day to be a gamer. The only part that sucks is waiting for these games to be released. At least 2/3 (TLG, FF7R and Shenmue 3) appear to be a long way off. Either way the hype train is real.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking about. All three major points were about high profile Japanese games, while on the "B" level of things, XSEED are localizing a ton of niche games.
The Japanese console market might be shrinking but we're getting a lot of different stuff in the upcoming 18 months, on top of Western stuff. I might be too optimistic right now but this looks like a very broad portfolio.

Yeah it's nice, plus there's still the ones we're waiting to see come back that we sorta know are in the works like Gravity Rush, perhaps at TGS.

So, which unicorns are left for next year E3?. The Agent and Crash Bandicoot?.

Also add, and Beyond Good & Evil 2 heh.

Everybody's Golf expected at TGS, GT7 and God of War 4 announcement at PSX with a late 2016 release for the former, 1st - 2nd quarter of 2017 for the latter. My 2 cents.

Are any of the games shown coming out this year I didn't catch any release dates?

Most are 2016, which by the way already looks filled with amazing games. Honestly it would be stupid to release anything this holiday close to giant beasts like Fallout 4, Star Wars, annual sport games, COD, AC, Need for Speed, competition's (timed or not) exclusives and many others. Until Dawn, Tearaway and Uncharted collection will fill the few spots left.

Uncharted 4 looks amazing, FFVII remake is amazing, no idea when that will be out but I'll be there day one.

TLG looked like a PS3 game (no surprises there really) never played the previous games but I get the feeling I would like them a lot so may have to look into that.

Very pleased Fire Watch is coming to PS4 game looks fantastic.

Just finished watching. Amazing show.

Shenmue Shenmue Shenmue - Not gonna lie, this has made my day.

Battlefront actually looks like they claimed, which has just blown my mind.

I don't think people could have really asked for much more. 3 games that were running jokes for more than a decade were announced. We got fantastic looking 1st party games, some of which were new IP and the 3 biggest 3rd party games this fall.

All in all it was mythical becoming reality. Who can believe TLG, FFVIIr and Shenmue III were all announced and announced within an hour of each other. Completely crazy and I'm not sure anything can top that anytime soon.

Amazing conference,

It broke Gaf for nearly the entire conference which nowadays is a hard thing to do.

The big three most wanted games in one conference can never be topped.

I guess your enjoyment of this conference just depends on how much nostalgia you have for those megatons.

Since I have none this was a very regular conference, and kinda underwhelming.

Best parts where Horizon reveal (something new) and the fact that Firewatch was announced for PS4. That trailer was the high point for me. Uncharted also looks great and MM's game is something that I need to see more of.

I guess I'll have to wait for Paris Week to get dates for Rime and the rest. Because a lot of was shown here we don't even know when we are going to get. And there was a lot less new stuff too.

And yeah, Destiny, COD (map packs exclusive, ugh) and Ass Creed getting tons of time doesn't help.

It left me with a "that's it?" expression at the end. But I do get the hype if you are a fan of those old games or were expecting them for a long time. I will definitely play The Last Guardian too but don't have the attachment that some have to it.

In the end, I rather see new and incredible games that "exclusive content!" or games we already knew about or that rely more in nostalgia than anything.

5/10 half and half

I don't like FF, The Last Guardian nor do i care for shenmue, i am in that very few who it didn't interest, too bad they whizzed through some games.

Here's hoping for gamescom

On one hand it was an incredible presentation with TLG, FF7 and Shenmue 3. And I'm a big fan of the first two. Backed up by awesome games like Horizon and Uncharted.

But on the other it didn't feel well organized, the tempo was weird and it was too front heavy. And there were no exclusive games out this year, it was all about next year.

I give it a 9/10 and the edge over Microsoft.

The conference would have been perfect if there were no COD and Disney Infinity/Star Wars segments, those really dragged. The best part was Horizon and Uncharted 4.

I'm still confused about the exclusivity for a number of the games revealed.

Can someone clear them or give a definite answer?

Which titles are coming to Xbox and/or PC? Which remain exclusive? Will games that are PS4/PC eventually come to Xbox or not?

Anyone going to do a breakdown of both conferences too? Time spent on games, media, demos, etc? I love those stats, if just for fun

you shouldn't be confused on MS's presser, they put "exclusive" before even their 1st party games for some reason

Anyone have Sony stage show time table? I would like to see more in depth demo of TLG, UC4 and Horizon.
Plus bunch of smaller titles that could not make it into the conference.

Crazy E3. Horizon blew my mind, Shenmue finally on the radar too.

MS dropped bombs, and Ubi did way better then I thought. Just Square Enix to go!

7/10 for me, UC4 looked good though, my problem was most of the exclusives are 2016, shenmue 3 is 2 years away at least, and the rest were multi

That was my reaction as well. Nothing shown for this year and lots of multiplats.

I still give sony the edge though for consistently game centric conference and blowing me away with horizon.

I would say c+ but people are flipping out over what looks a fairly standard conference. I personally think BC was the biggest announcement so far this year. Imo of course.

what is BC?

special shoutout to the 14 year olds here who dont know about shenmue or understand why this bomb is so godlike...

We got FF7, Shenmue and TLG.. the Holy Trinity.

So can we make a Kickstarter for Sony to bring back Jack Tretton just to host E3 conferences?

Feels like they had 3 people do his job about 1/4 as well.
I have to agree here.

The actual presentation and whole production felt a bit amateur.

That was my reaction as well. Nothing shown for this year and lots of multiplats.

I'd give the edge to MS due to GOW,FM6,H5,TR,Elite Dangerous, Star Wars, COD, Fallout 4 all due 2015 - crazy, 2016 though, that's another story
