Steam Summer Sale 2015 thread of refunding everything you buy (June 11-21)

Xulima has been 50% a few times, anything more than that would be pretty close to a historical low.

Also, this is one game where I think the "fluff" DLC (The Talisman of Golot) is extremely beneficial to playing the game. It has some features that really smooth out some aspects of the game. Players used to a more forgiving CRPG experience might want to pick it up as well if it is less than a US dollar or so.

Also, game is incredible.

Thanks man! I didn't check the DLC but I'll probably pick it up too depending on the deal, although it seems it makes you a bit op, haha.

Yes, I understand that, but I thought it's weird it shows up nonetheless. Though when you click on it, it just refreshes the page.

It's trying to rederict you to a store page that doesn't exist, so just reroutes to the front page.

Real strange that would show up for you though, database page hasn't been officially touched in years.

Is it me, or this summer sale is complete shit?

This is my first summer sale and I have to admit, it's pretty underwhelming so far. Either I'm very disciplined or I thought Steam would make my wallet hurt? Thus far I've only bought Child of Light and the BioShock Triple Pack. I'll get the Valve Complete Pack on the last day as well.

Yeah weird, I think they wanted to feature DAO instead.

Always happens. Once you have amassed enough he's, each subsequent sale cannot possibly live up to the last.

This is the best sale Valve has done in years. Since you have the majority of your must have titles, you are not seeing it from the same perspective ad someone new to the platform.

I am obviously not new and still loving this one. They expanded the number of deals per day and are putting smaller titles on the frontpage that wouldn't have gotten any exposure before. There's also more than enough new stuff and new best prices, if someone can't find anything to buy that's not the sale's fault.

There's only so many things you will want to buy. There have been so many sales. I bought two games I already own (and sold off the console copy to make up the difference for one of them), and also purchased Killer is Dead. I'd be surprised if I buy more than 2-3 games before this is all over.

It's the contrary for me. My wishlist is like 400+ titles instead of the meager 100 it had last year.
That exploration update was brutal.

Just bought the Substance Bundle!!! My wallet is crying a lil bit since I just also backed Shenmue 3 for $300. lol Can't wait to get my hands deep and dirty into this!!!!! Think that's it for me though in the sale.

Also, the amount of cards I got... lol

That's cool, but did you buy Ys when you had the chance?

Yes. Yes. and yes. Xulima was a great hidden gem for RPG fans. It can get a bit grindy, but it moves well enough that finishing isn't a slog.

I also agree with getting the Talisman DLC. It will probably be pennies and actually does help with gameplay a bit.

I think people are asking for well received AAA games in the last 6 months to suddenly be 66% off or more or something.

Also if you know what frequently goes on sale during the bigger sale events, you can skip those if you're not in a rush to play it. If you're not in a rush to play something like Civ5, you can wait for another time to scoop it up, because something like that always goes on sale.

Any idea if MGS: Ground Zeroes will be in a higher sale than right now? I'm tempted to purchase that and Tales from the Borderlands, but I'm waiting for the GOG version on the later.

Kind of broke right now.

Welp, today went a LOT better, haha. Even at this high level, my team has been just rolling through levels in a few seconds. The game isn't strong enough for how high we've all upgraded, it seems.

Base click damage: 93,790

Looks like they've taken down the game for some time. I wonder if they decided the game is too easy and are going to make adjustments.

EDIT And now it's back up.

It was a daily last sale. There's still plenty of time left, so just wait on GZ.

Does anybody want to go in on a Robot Roller-Derby Disco Dodgeball 4-pack on Steam? I have one or two copies left. Price comes out to $3.40/ea.

To all Xulima newbs from this sale: All damage over time, and don't increase your caster's mana bar (they'll be potion junkies anyways).

I wouldn't even say it's grindy, you just kill everything and know WHEN to go after stuff. There's even a set number of ranbats with some predictability and a borrowed Atlus encounter feature.

Got less than 10 minutes to make a decision: Cook, Serve, Delicious and Antichamber.

Both games look interesting and are cheap. More interested in Antichamber. My question is are these games difficult and frustrating or difficult but still fun enough to power through if stuck?

Talos Principle 66%, that game looks very interesting... usually I either buy at launch or wait for a price drop + the discount, but might cave on this one.
