More Mario Maker, which I already was hyped for, finally Yokai Watch, SMT x FE, two Animal Crossing spinoffs, Star Fox, Mario x Mario Crossover

I thought it was a neat Direct on steroids, but then again I didn't expect Nintendo to drop a fucking TLG-equivalent.
Nintendo is obviously preparing to drop the Wii U, expecting them to drop Wii U bombs is just silly. Y'all need to adjust your expectations. smh

This was very underwhelming. It really feels like they ran out of things to talk about because they are already busy working on their next console.

That was... really bad. I mean, the puppet stuff was really cute and all, but as far as GAMES were concerned? Uh, nothing. Star Fox, Mario Maker and Yarn Yoshi. The only new game out of the three is Star Fox, and I'm not even sure you can call it "new" because it was basically announced last year. Didn't care for anything else. :(

I bought a Wii U a few months ago and am starting to regret it... Starfox looks good, and I'm sure Zelda will be great but I really wanted a new Metroid...
I hope they don't save it for the NX :(

So it's fair to say that Sony brought the games and Nintendo brought the gifs.

Not one new game I'm interested in. Animal Crossing is a Party Game? Puh...
And I get that Super Mario Maker is a big, big title and I'm pretty hyped for that, but we have seen it before. We knew about Starfox.

Good for 3DS owners though, Nintendo's output there seems really solid.

Quit your whning guys, let's have a constructive discussion.

That said. Where the fuck is the new Retro Studios game? Weren't they teasing something? Can't be that 3DS shooter, can it?

Working on a NX game probably, as are the rest of their major studios. Probably the best for their long term future, I guess. Wii U is just going to get the announced games, some more Amiibo filler shit and that'll be the end of its alleged 'life' when they drop it completely at next E3.

Of course the one fucking year I actually believe in Nintendo they let me down. I thought the NWC showed how they actually started to understand their fans, but clearly not. Worst conference in a while, maybe worse than 2008 (content wise).

I feel that how they have given up on the Wii U is going to end up hurting them on NX sales. It's sad, system barely came out 2 and half years ago

They've given the wiiu smash, dkc, Mario kart, and Mario platforming with nsmbu and 3d worlds. Zelda is still coming, but nothing will save the console.

Just makes sense to try something else.

Thread reactions should never be more enjoyable than the conference they're reacting to.

Fucking Nintendo.

Man, Nintendo is hot garbage this gen. I can't see paying full price for their hardware in the future after the Wii U and 3DS.

This NX bullshit better come out with "unprecedented support" and at a dirt cheap price or I'm waiting until it's I can find it for a low price or passing completely.

at last, for christ's sake
I mean, animal crossing WiiU, paper mario WiiU. It is so simple ;_;

why would you want them to waste potential sales on a console thats underperforming ?

I mean, I'm not the happiest WiiU buyer, but I totally understand wihy a game like AC isn't coming for the console. it would be just a terrible businness decision

If we look at this event and their last year's event then you can pretty easily see how their transformation theme came to fruition. They transformed into a turd.

wishes it were bannable to say mean things about Marvel
I think it's safe to say, after that show, that Nintendo has abandoned development for the Wii-U and has shifted all console focus to the NX. I mean wow, that was surprisingly bland and vacant. Nothing at all for the Wii-U, nothing.

Definitely moved on from the WiiU, and 3DS. Anyone expecting them to wait until 2017 or later to launch their next system was delusional.
