I am glad I am so behind on releases (Captain Toad, Bayo2, Hyrule Warriors, Deus Ex HR) and that I have a PS4.

It doesn't make this conference better, but there were already a lot of first party Wii U games announced for 2015. Conversely, there were very few 3DS games announced.

So you want us to give it a chance but you also blow it off in the same breath? "Samus isn't even in it" is a large part of the image problem if nothing else. If it's Metroid. I want to play as Samus. No-one else.

This is the first Metroid game in five years. People were expecting a new mainline entry, not a 3DS co-op shooter with the Metroid logo slapped on it.

It might be a good game, Blast Ball looked fun, but calling it a Metroid spin-off was a huge mistake.

I can understand the disappointment, especially being that it seems that this is a Metroid game without Samus, which is weird to say the least. But it is interesting to see what they do with the Federation, so here's hoping to them fleshing them out more. And that this might mark a return to Metroid's former glory and their actual acknowledgement of the Prime series of things. That's a good thing, the sooner they move away from whatever the fuck Other M was the better.

It really shows the need for Nintendo to combine platforms to simultaneously develop for both platforms. Hopefully what we've heard about the NX is true and it helps solve the issues they are facing with trying to support both platforms.
