Square Enix absolutely killed it. What a conference. SE seems so focused and determined these days. What a nice change from the SE of a few years ago that was barely functional. Excellent diversity of Western and Japanese titles too.

Also, Hashimoto is the best.

Seriously. That epic troll-chain w/ KH3. There were like 4 or 5 mis-directions in there before the reveal.

WHat the hell? EA was an absolute disgrace. South Park allone owned it. Yeah they had Battlefront and it's cool but that doesn't make up for the 80 minutes they stole me leading up to that.

Me too. But XII HD has been heavily hinted and even 'confirmed' by insiders, so I'm pretty sure it will happen sooner rather than later. I just hope they stick to the FFX/X-2 release format and also release a Vita version.

What make MS bad IMO was the " gameplay demos" for Gears 4 and tomb raider... they just went to point A to point B... that was a tech demos at best, that's why the score is so low for MS.

Am I missing anything? That's pretty damn good. Square-Enix cynicism: drastically reduced.

Unlike Nintendo, EA actually had some exciting games to talk about.

They just did that talking very, very poorly. And too frequently. All they had to do was show some cool gameplay trailers and maybe some ME footage. But nope.

Nintendo should have just stayed in bed.

Bethseda- A (good set plan for the next year and half, Fallout 4 this year as well as shelter blew me away

Ubisoft- D+ (Not my type of conference)

Microsoft- B- (Backwards Compatibility, Cuphead, Gears Remake and Halolens was awesome, not enough exclusives though.)

EA- D ( It's EA)

Nintendo- C- (The animal crossing troll was terrible and the Wii U pretty much dying so early is really depressing, no Dragon Quest, no real surprises, nothing)


Square - C- (No Dragon Quest, not much we didn't already know about, Star Ocean 4 was terrible and will take alot for me to get really excited for 5 even if I have a bit of interest. No real RPG's from them coming out anytime soon. Deus Ex is great.)

Sony- B (Surprises were great but not much is really coming this year from Sony )

I think it was a nice conference. Most of the stuff they presented seems interesting to me. Also LOL at that KH Mobile bait and switch where people in the crowd already went nuts. Hashimoto truly is the ultima troll. As for all conferences, my rating would go as follows:

Square-Enix - Some great content, but awful format. Short on real gameplay footage, high focus on trailers & talking heads.
+Just Cause 3 looks downright outstanding. Love it, love it, love it.
+Hitman sounds neat. A polished take on Early Access development?
+Sure, I guess Kingdom Hearts 3 is sharp.
+Deus Ex looks hot.
+Tomb Raider still fancy looking, but should it really be launching the same day as FO4?
+GO as a franchise sounds super promising.
