I set the fps cap back to 30 and now the texture problems are gone.

This game just gets worse and worse. It's practically unplayable at the moment, Was playing for two hours or so. Fucking bullshit, really.
The PC version is missing out on effects like AO and rain decals on the batsuit. As it stands, the PS4 version will look better. It's bizarre.
The extra Nvidia stuff adds a little but really not much - not enough to compensate anyway.

Yeah, but the question here is which setting to lower because no setting in-game improves your framerate. So your post actually helps less than that Steam guide.
There's also the fact that it has a tweak to up the texture res, among other stuff that doesn't just lower settings. Salsa said that he just wanted to play without the awful stutter he is suffering from. Yeah the port is a mess but I see no problem with posting that to help people out since you can't actually change many settings in the game itself.
No PC on earth, no networked super computer, no cray mainframe world conquering AI can match the PS4 version so far, since graphical features are just straight up missing.
That work unplugged my logitech 3d joystick, still no other game was confused by it. Thanks for the help

You'll need to make sure that only the 360 controller is plugged in when you start the game. I had the same problem.

It doesn't recognize the game for me if I have the Gameworks smoke/fog setting on. Otherwise the OSD works fine.

Unless disabling bloom and reflections is what fixes everything (and it could be, I don't have the game to personally test) then the guide really doesn't provide any useful information for improving performance.

This pretty much means they will only (hopefully) fix the stuttering, performance, etc, but won't add the missing effects.

What was the last major game that released a port and said basically the play at 30 FPS? All of the examples I can think of were delayed ports by Japanese devs that have little to no experience with the platform.

Ignoring how good or bad the textures look, what's in a name? The normal ones are probably the ones the game uses on other platforms. What would be different if they'd called Low Normal and Normal High?

nothing. im mostly talking about the impossiblity of getting textures to look even decent on 2 gigs of vram
they look WAY worse than any other recent game's "normal" setting
- played GTAV at constant 60fps with textures on High
- Shadow of Mordor did sorta became a slideshow with textures on High after a while and those did require 3gb according to the game, but I could go Normal or low; Normal was more than fine, also 60fps
this game would have an excuse to set 2gigs of vram as the absolute MINIMUM for textures if they looked any good or low was equivalent to other games' normal settings; they don't, they look like fucking dog shit and it's 30fps
