The Final Bosman Show

Best of the E3 specials I think. Was interesting seeing the different approaches to marketing.

I hope Bosman goes all the way with the anti-comedy in his stand-up special. That's the only way he can make it work.
Bosman is a pretty good stand up, actually. Somebody posted a old set of his a couple of pages ago.

That Nintendo vibe rating XD

Great episode. This is one of the things I've been longing for - just someone walking the floor. Didn't see a lot of that at E3 this year, though honestly I kind of stuck with Gt a lot and they were mainly recording live shows in their own area away from the show floor.

I saw Kyle and his camera man as they were filming their walkthrough of the Bethesda booth. Turned out just as good as I thought the bit would be.

The Konami booth was alright. It'd have been much nicer if they allowed people to sit on the "helipad" section while they did their 40 minute demonstrations.

e3 at this point is long past being a fun show to attend as a fan if you're going in thinking you're going to be able to play stuff. lines are ridiculously long. i remember going to E3 during the PS1 era and it was MUCH better. barely any lines at all. same things happened with comic con.

did you watch the huber hype and mandatory update e3 episodes? those were great "walk the floor" + random interviews and shenanigans as well.

Dat Nintendo Vibe rating...I havent laughed that hard in a while. That ending to it, the delivery...makes me more excited for his Stand up special.

Just started watching lol.... least he admitted to what we all were doing at the just dance booth, checking out that lady's butt. Yup this whole thing was him checking out butts haha.

that final bets episode LOL

Nice E3 tour episode.

.

I don't mind the new vibes of E3 and ComicCon now. Production values went through the roof. Still such an experience to go through and see all the stuff. Not to mention all the free swag they give out.

But isn't E3 press only? Doesn't that make free swag bribing? Someone alert GG.

I always wonder this. Like he highlighted, tons of places to get your picture taken, and free swag/places to buy merch... but it's supposedly a press only event. So why have all those set ups. Need to just make public days and stop joking around after all these years. But its always been like this so w/e lol.

Love the bored Lara model being talked up by the millionth dude trying to seem normal though lol. She had that "geeze I want to tell them I have a bf and go away" face haha.

It's not press only. Industry only + a few thousand invites (I heard ~3000 maybe ~5000). Industry includes gaming media of course, but also ranges to people who work at Gamestop for example.

Press gets swag outside of E3 anyway, they get sent a bunch of shit to review AAA games then end up selling it on eBay.

E3 is still primarily a retailer conference where reps from Best Buy, Wallmart, and others go to decide how many copies of upcoming games they're going to order for their chains. It's also still fairly easy to get in as enthusiast press, though instead of having a fan website like the old days, you'll probably plug a youtube channel.

Ah well, I guess those need some catering to.

Obligatory.

E3 looks decadent as fuck.

Wish we had more showfloor vids of this sort, just touring around. Giant Bomb used to do it, but they don't anymore.

Next E3 instead of doing an actual video Kyle should just spend his time getting his picture next to everything and that week's Final Bosman can just be a slideshow of his holiday snaps.

the sudden realization that the word Remake at the end of a trailer is a privilege that almost nobody has.

I didn't really thought about it and he's right

Yeah it was actually a really good way of explaining the hype to people who may not be in the know. I found it helpful too, I knew of the tech demo but had never seen it.

That end bit was perfect. 10/10 — will watch again.

If only it would have ended with Huber jumping up and down shouting, "HOW MUCH?! HOW MUCH!?!?!?" 11/10, maybe even 12/10

Man this episode was on point. So true about stretch goals making the Shenmue kickstarter seem less successful than it is, and how they're making it feel like the "complete" game is being held hostage. And the Screw You Factor. Love that he was able to put words on all this. Love it

Great episode, so much truth regarding
the 'screw you factor', looking like an underdog and the whole "fund our stretch goals to get the complete game" thing so many kickstarters are doing now...

And holy shit, best ending segment in a while hahaha!

Won't back Phillip Dollarfield if it's not a 360 exclusive anymore
